Dari smiled broadly and leaned his head back into the petting hand. It always felt nice when someone played with your hair, even when it was barely there at all. Cody kissed his forehead and so he kissed Cody's chin, turning to wrap his arms around him.

The movie sounded good, Cody could hear it in the background; but it seemed far away and vague. His attention was on Dari completely. He ran his hand down Dari's head and to the back of his neck where he started drawing small circles with a finger.

Dari hummed softly, and as relaxing as this all was, it was also somewhat arousing. He opened his eyes and grinned at Cody, then leaned in to steal a kiss.

Cody returned the kiss, injecting a bit of tongue as his hands moved to Dari's cheeks. He stroked one with his thumb.

The warmth and comfort of laying next to the person he loved most was the best feeling in the world. Cody nuzzled Dari's neck, kissing his jawline.

Dari was cuddled close, one arm wrapped around Cody while the other played with his hair from beneath. He hummed with pleasure as he was kissed and a broad smile spread across his face.
"I love you."

"I love you," Cody echoed, smiling. He was so, so lucky. Even after almost six months of this heaven, sometimes he felt like this was a dream. "I can't begin to explain how much." He hoped Dari knew.

Dari just kept on smiling. He gave Cody a lingering look and the caressing hand ran over the side of his face. He understood. He wasn't sure he could put it to words either, and he certainly couldn't explain why. He leaned in and kissed him again, lingering this time.

Cody returned the kiss, letting it linger. "I want you to meet my family," he said, after it broke. It'd been something he'd thought about for a while. "I've told my mother about you--and I'm sure she's going to be worse than Maia with wanting to stuff you with sweets."

"Really?" Dari asked, not about the sweets but about meeting Cody's parents. That was a big move. It was impossible for Dari to separate from his family. They were always around. Cody's parents, though, would require a special trip. "I'd love to."

Dari buttoned up his shirt and straightened his posture as he watched himself in the bathroom mirror. Was that too stuffy? Should he undo another button? He did, straightened again...eh. Too casual? He wasn't sure. He sighed. He'd gotten flowers for Cody's mother, but should he have gotten something for his father? Some sort of... alcohol or something?
He'd just buzzed his hair and shaved and taken a shower. He wanted to make the best first impression possible.

Even as he drove, Cody was fidgeting and nervous. Excited too, but nervous. He'd never been to this level, never been to a point where he'd felt the need to introduce his parents to someone he was with.
Dari was special. Cody had known that from the time he'd meet him. He reached their place and knocked.

Toby answered the door.
"Hey, Cody! Come on in." He opened the door to let him in and then close it behind him. "Good luck getting him out of the bathroom."
As if on cue, Dari appeared in the hallway to the bathroom.
"One button or two?" he held another button hole closed, then let it go. What did Cody think?
