This reminds me of that one scene from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
One platter was this giant python, and the guy said, "Snake means surprise!" and then they sliced open the snake and live eels wriggled out.

One platter was this giant python, and the guy said, "Snake means surprise!" and then they sliced open the snake and live eels wriggled out. vox remembers that scene, and the scene where they plug his nose to make him drink from the skull vividly...demented memory selection voxule
but weren't they baby snakes...not eels?

Nope, I was pretty sure they were eels, cause they were all slimy and wet looking and wriggled. Snakes dont wriggle, they slither.
I love that scene where Indiana Jones is writhing on that stone tablet surrounded by candles.
