I'm gonna say no, before someone jumps at the opportunity to confirm it.

Since I can ignore the plot, I look forward to it as an action game, as anything else, it's nothing.

For me, ignoring a storyline in an adventure game, defeats the purpose of playing the game. I can only ignore the storyline in fighting games... And that's it, I think. Well, maybe more generic adventure games. Let's say you have an action game where you play as some average soldier looking dude, and you're fighting other average soldier looking dudes. But with RE5, as with RE4, the creatures are very specific, the missions are very specific. So ignoring the storyline would be impossible, for me.
Which is why someitmes I want to see a game where the main character is dressed like just another soldier (that's not a first person shooter about WW2 or Vietnam).

I'm good at ignoring things, especially if I don't like them. It's a childish skill that I still retain, I guess.
That's the problem though, most games where you are a soldier, are always FPS.
By the way, I need some help remembering something. Okay, in REmake, did the S.T.A.R.S. team only go in with shotguns and pistols, or did some of the members have Sub-Machine guns?

Well, for me, the only way to ignore a storyline is to avoid the game altogether, which is what I'll be doing.
No, I didn't see any automatic weapons. Richard and Joseph had shotguns. Forest had his Grenade Launcher. Barry had his magnum. Everyone else had Berettas.

Well, whatever works I guess.
I thought so. It bugs me, since S.T.A.R.S. is basically the better version of SWAT, I thought they'd atleast bring along a fully automatic weapon.
