Tommy smiled at the Countess. With the tiki torches lit, and the sun fading below the horizon, the bubbles caught the last few rays of light, causing a very nice view. People payed more attention to this then Tommy's tricks, and Tommy smiled once more.

The beach erupted into chaos. Sounds of Pokémon battles filled the air, and Zero organized his Zubat and Poliwag to be ready for a fight. He turned to Tommy. "No reason, huh?" He scanned the sands, trying to find a good spot to pick out a few weak fights. As proud as he was of his Pokémon, he knew he wasn't ready for any major battles. "Alright, you two. Reach that cluster of palm trees." The Countess picked up Poliwag, and the two set off for the destination.

"Eeeeeasyyyy~" Tommy chimed as he sent out Clefairy and Stunky. A Trapinch and Piplup came into view. The battle started.

Both the Trapinch and Piplup opened up with a Protect which was rather odd. Stunky tried a Dark Slash, but the attack just bounced off. "Er, Feintfeintfeintfeint... MEtronome!" The Clefairy opened up by waggling it's finger, before enveloping itself in a bright light. "Oh, you're kidding..." There was a huge explosion, knocking out Clefairy and Stunky in the same go, while both pokemon were shocked by the sudden attack, but luckily protected. Tommy returned his two pokemon with a mutter, and sent out the famous grass duo of Grovyle and Bayleef. "C'mon, let's whip 'em into shape!" A Leaf Blade and Razor Leaf was fired off, Razor Leaf cutting deep into the Trapinch, knocking it out on contact. However, it didn't quite knock the Tentacool out. Before the boor squid pokemon could fire an attack, Grovyle hacked the heck out of it with a Leaf Blade, ending the battle.

Tommy praised his two pokemon before returning them. There were scorch marks everywhere from the Explosion, and many pokemon, besides his friends' pokemon, were knocked out, trainer and wild alike. Many of the party-goers glared at Tommy for their shocking defeats. Yet another Sweatdrop appeared on the back of his head.

Christian received a group-message Memo. He replied:

Lilycove Beach. Strange things happening. Come check it out.

Zero ran over to the cluster of palm trees and stopped. He looked down at the ground, feeling something rising from beneath. He leaped out of the way just in time to see a Gible shoot upwards, spraying sand all over the place.

Zero dusted some sand away from his cloak and grinned. "Alright, Countess, send out a Supersonic!" Her cry pierced through the evening sky, confusing the Gible. The angry land shark lunged at the Countess, but she swooped close to the ground and narrowly dodged it. Poliwag leaped in front of the Gible and set off a stream of bubbles. Now damaged, the Gible slammed its body to the ground, sending a powerful shockwave and subsequent ripple of sand at Poliwag. Poliwag braced for the attack, but just before impact, the Countess pushed hard at Poliwag's side, taking the blow for him. The attack nearly knocked out the Countess, and she spun into a palm tree. Suddenly, an explosion blasted through the air, and the Gible flew head-first into a palm tree. Zero threw a Pokéball at Gible, and after three shakes, successfully obtained it.

"Come on out, Countess," he called. She collapsed by his shoulder; a Dragon Rage was hard to survive at her level.

Tommy decided to do more aerial stunts as he waited for his friends to finish up. He started doing multiple flips, including the wheel of pain gag, where he spun around, being up right, to upside down, repeating and repeating and repeating...

Memo ran over to where the group was and waved.
"Hey guys."
He said with his Treeko resting on his head.
