Loki watched Tony when the man said that he didn't care. He too trying to make sure that Tony was indeed telling the truth in respect to this. A slight blush swept across the god's face when Tony proclaimed that he had been actively trying to get him into some form of undress since they had started to sleep together. He didn't think that was the case of recent interactions but it had been before he had run. "It is easier to feed the child when they are hungry and better for them. Still I imagine in public will be harder for me in this case. I have always had to hide it before. Feeding Sleepnir was easy because I did it in the form of a horse to suit him, but the others well. No one at the castle wanted to see that and Angroboda..." Loki's words drifted off there. Looking back up at Tony when the man slipped an arm around his waist had the god smiling softly. "Sometimes." he responded to being full of surprises. "I don't know if I have many more about the pregnancy and rearing of the children though."

Tony looked to the mansion as Loki spoke. “Well no one here would really care I imagine. And if Natasha decides to go natural, then I imagine you’ll have one scary defender on the matter if anyone even looks at you strangely.” He said lightly. “And beyond the mansion….well we’ll figure that one out.” He said lightly. If Loki needed to feed their kids, Tony sure as hell wouldn’t let anyone stop him. At the idea of Loki not having any surprises left, Tony laughed. “You forget just about everything dealing with babies is a surprise to me. Never really bothered to learn much about kids and parenting. I’m sure I’ll be absolutely baffled for the next few years.” He smirked.

Loki gave a soft chuckle when Tony said that if Natasha decided to go natural in feeding her child then he would have one scary defender on his side. It was true, he could imagine Natasha dealing with anyone that made even a weird look his way and that included Clint. Whom he was sure would made some weird comment at some point. "I don't think we'll have to worry about that for months after the children are born. I don't think I will be ready to face Midgard with our children until then. I'll be just as happy hiding in the mansion with them." Loki assured. He would be both too scared and too protective of their children for the first few months. When Tony spoke more about surprises Loki looked on in fondness. "You will have me to help you, and I am sure most of the Avengers are in the same place you are and will be learning just as much." Loki soothed.

Giving a small nod, Tony smiled. “You can take all the time you need, but you will have to go out there at some point. I’m trying to keep you from being too centered in the public gaze, I’ll do the same for the kids, but I don’t want them to grow up trapped here. I want them to go out and be with people.” He said gently. Making a face as Loki said everyone would be learning, he gave a small nod. “I know…I’m just not used to being so out of my depth. I’ve avoided most things that put me in that type of situation.” He explained. Looking to Loki, he gave a shy smile. “You’ll be patient with me right?” he asked quietly.

Loki nodded though he didn't like the idea of going out into the public with their children but he knew he couldn't avoid it. He hadn't been able to avoid it on Asgard, he dint see why Midgard would be different. "I do not want them trapped either but for the first few months, they rely on me and they won't know the difference." Loki said with a slight frown. The thought of even leaving the house right now made Loki anxious, the grounds were okay but too far beyond the house was not. The frown shifted to a smile when Tony said that he would be out of his depth and that he avoided these situations. Loki had been in the same place both the first and second times, he knew how lost Tony would feel. "Always. As long as you are with me. I can get quite defensive about the children for the first bit. I nearly took off Thor''s hand with the twins." Loki tried to explain.

Tony nodded his agreement to allowing Loki and the children to be hidden for a while. He could understand and wouldn’t push, but he also knew Loki’s tendency for hiding. Though he wanted to protect loki and the kids, he also knew that keeping them hidden away was not appropriate, not a way to give them a life. He just hoped Loki wouldn’t try to fight him when it came time to leave the mansion and let the world know of them all. Hearing Loki explain how defensive he got had Tony chuckling. “Oh no need to tell me that. I could’ve guessed. I still remember very clearly you rushing in and choking that reporter for kissing me….and that was without the maternal instincts kicking in. I’d hate to see what you’d do for the kids.” He said jokingly.

Loki gave a soft smile when Tony nodded his agreement. He was glad that Tony would at least give him the first couple of months to settle. It would be the first time he really had had so many people around. He wasn't sure how he would react, but he don't think the first bit would be good. When Tony seemed to understand how defensive he would get Loki felt more relief. "You've seen me protect my children. In Asgard." Loki reminded.

Tony chuckled, nodding. “Yes, but that was with someone that posed a legitimate threat to Sleepnir. No one in the mansion would pose any type of threat, not intentionally. Just like as much as you dislike her, that reporter didn’t pose any sort of threat to us.” He pointed out, giving a little squeeze. “But don’t take any of this the wrong way. I’m glad you’re protective, it was sexy in my case, and It’s a relief on some levels with the twins. I mean I can turn this mansion into a fort with technology, but it’s not quite the same as having a magical, angry god protecting you.” He teased.

Loki nodded when Tony stated that his protectiveness was when someone had directly threatened his child. The prospect of the reporter not being a threat to them had Loki feeling his hackles raise. The woman had not threatened them physically but he had felt their new bond had been at risk. He nodded trying to soothe himself when Tony told him not to take anything the wrong way. A small smile appeared at Tony calling his protectiveness sexy. "I will do anything to protect our children but it's more than that Tony. I think my mother had the good sense to not get between my children and I the first month. I think she made sure I could see everything when she held them,. Thor didn't and I nearly took him apart to get Vali back from him." Loki tried to explain.

Tony blinked, arching a brow. “That bad huh?” he asked slowly. “Well maybe it won’t be so bad this time around. I mean you trust and like most everyone in the mansion. You didn’t really trust Thor back then.” He suggested before he paused. “Do you…..well, do you think you’d have the same reaction to me?” he asked, sounding slightly concerned. He’d try to avoid upsetting Loki, but it would likely slip his mind if he was wandering around with one or both of the twins. He wasn’t known to be the most aware of his surroundings and actions all the time.

Loki nodded when Tony asked him if it had been that bad. He could easily remember the look of pain and confusion on Thor''s face. "Perhaps. I can hope at least." Loki stated. Tony was right that he trusted people this time around and maybe that would be the key. He hadn't really trusted anyone but his mother with Vali and Narfi but even then he had been anxious his eyes following her. He wondered a bit if it had been his environment as well, trapped in his room in Asgard. Tony''s question about having the same reaction to him had Loki worrying his bottom lip. He wanted to tell Tony that it would never happen but he had no idea. "I...I don't know. I think it will be different but I've never had a father of my children around or want to hold them when they were so young." Loki answered giving Tony an apologetic look.

Loki’s words had Tony shifting slightly, but he gave a small nod. “I’ll try not to set you off Loki….but you know I don’t always pay attention like I probably should.” He said gently. “Though I imagine I’ll probably be holding them more than other people if I’m helping to take care of them. I mean I can’t feed them like you can, but I suppose I’ll be doing a lot of diaper duty and burping them and such.” He mused. Blinking, he smirked. “Maybe I can modify DUMMEE to have a baby swing attachment. That might keep him entertained and away from the finer soldering jobs for a while.”

A look of regret took over loki as he watched Tony shift and nod. He wanted to assure the man that he wouldn't do the same to him as he had doNE to Thor but he didn't know for sure. "I know, I know and I can try to given warning to you if I get too anxious about it." Loki tried to compromise. He smiled at Tony being on diaper and burping duty.He had no doubt that Tony would take on quite a bit of those duties and would be holding at least one twin regurarly. The thought of seeing Tony with one of the twins made him feel warm. "If you do that I want it fully tested before you stick our children in. DUMM-E will need to be careful and gentle. Babies are quite fragile." Loki hummed. HE didn't doubt that Tony would make sure it was safe but he had to be sure.

Tony rolled his eyes slightly. “I know, I know.” He said, waving a hand slightly. “I’m fully aware of precautions that need to be taken.” He added, almost sounding bored. “I won’t let anything happen to our kids, especially not from something I make.” Of course he also knew that he had a tendency to go through phases of making relatively destructive devices, but he’d just keep the twins and Fenrir out of the lab for the most part, that would minimize the likelihood of anything happening to them. Pausing for a moment to pluck a flower from a bush, he twirled it in his fingers absently. “Do you think they’ll like building things?”

Loki smiled when he saw Tony roll his eyes at the god's cautions. Again he knew that Tony would take all possible measures to make that their children were safe. "I know you won't Tony, but I just needed to say it. For my own peace of mind really," Loki explained. He watched Tony ponder things from there until the man spoke again. The man's question had Loki chuckling. "With parents like us, I think all nine realms would be appalled if they didn't. You create wonderous things and I do magical creation. I am sure our children will do one or most likely both." Loki assured.
