Jake's eyes flashed red. He punched Jack. His eyes a crimson red like his fathers. "I said stay away from her" he said in a voice barely his.

layla fell to the floor again on the verge of tears.
jack balanced hisself out.
"so? i hit a chord didn't i? what if i did this?" he asked kicking layla in the chest.
layla cried out curling up.
jack smiled at jake and pulled out a sword.
"want me to go on?"

Jake's eyes were pure red now. He suddenly appeared directly in front of him, and grabbed him by the throat. His soul came out and sat next to Layla. Jake grabbed the sword to make sure Jack couldn't use it. His hand bled but he didn't care. He tightened his grip on Jack's throat.

jacks hands went to his wrists digging deep into his flesh and then he bit into his hand.
layla was curled up into a ball. crying as she clutched her chest.
jack ripped his sword from jakes hand knowing he caused blood.

Jake yelled in pain. His hand bled heavily. He growled at Jack. His soul stayed with Layla. Jake made a soul sword. He seemed to pulse and evil aura.

jack sliced at him with his own blade.
layla looked up. she chanted and jack dissapear. she went back to being curled up on the floor.

Jake seeing Jack was gone, his eyes went back to normal. The evil aura went away slowly. He looked at his hand. He grabbed a towel and wrapped it tightly around the wound. He held his head with his good hand. He sat next to Layla. "What happened? Are you okay? All I remember is seeing you get kicked by Jack"

layla uncurled slightly exposing a large bruise on her chest.
"i didn't do anything....not to him. just sent him to the lake..." she managed to say wincing.
"you are part demon..i saw it.." she said managing to fully unstretch.
her chest was a deep purple.
"jake...go to my box. get the purple vial. rubb some on my chest..please..."
jack landed in the water of the lake. he was pissed off. he got out of the lake and trudged is way ack to the inn.

Jake got the purple vial. He rubbed some of the contents on her chest. His soul went back into his body. He sighed. "Part demon." he said. He looked out the window.

layla smiled as her bruise reversed.
she managed to stand up and she practicly fell into jake's arms.
" he will be back soon....jake shut the window...just dont let him in please...."
she said as she clung to his chest. she stared up at him with worried eyes. her body so tense against his.
"please.." she said gently scared to death.
jack was in the tree outsidet their room. almost up to the top of it.

Jake shut the window. He led Layla to the bed and set her down. "I will protect you" he said in his usual calm voice.

jack broke the window and crawled into the room.
