I'm talking about the Mask's Root ability. Good luck with it. I ended up pulling a cheap trick with help from a crewmate. So I'm done with the quest, but I feel like I need to help someone else with it, and finish in a more 'legit' manner. (And I was using RR4 Fleet Feet to begin with)

Root during first form, Sleep during second, and Fear (yes, you run away and can't attack) during third. On the bright side, Witch Doctors no longer Sleep you. They heal their friends instead.
