At my school they have something they do called 'Late Start Wednesday' where they make it so school doesn't start until 9:00 [as opposed to the normal 7:45] and they make the first two blocks an hour, and take out advisory, so we get the same time for lunch and the last two blocks are the normal 80 minutes.
ANNND I have Senior Late Arrival, so I don't have to go in until teeeen!

Secret Duckie Yeeeeyyy
At my school they have something they do called 'Late Start Wednesday' where they make it so school doesn't start until 9:00 [as opposed to the normal 7:45] and they make the first two blocks an hour, and take out advisory, so we get the same time for lunch and the last two blocks are the normal 80 minutes.

Uhm... I'm almost positive Biddeford does it. And maybe Thorton.
It's a huge Maine thing, so maybe your school might go for it.
I know there's a lot of Maine schools that do it.
SO TELL YOURS TO GET ON THE BANDWAGON, DAMMIT.
xDD
We even made it bigger by adding the middle school to the program last year; so they have it, as well.
Though I wish the teachers would spring for this idea:
Lose Late Start altogether, make school an hour longer so it goes until the elementary goes [3:00] and then we can have an ENTIRE day off every week.
Imagine a three-day weekend EVERY SINGLE WEEK.
That's so ******** awesome.
