Vincent: Well the character is actually a spirit using the "body" as more or less a shell its trapped in, so it doesn't really care what damage is done to it, it's just that it needs to heal it like that to keep it in usable condition. He could leave his head with half of it blown off and his blood spilling out all over him, but his blood is corrosive and would eat his skin away if not inside his arteries/veins, so he'd lose movement and such. Not ebing able to fight means more damage and oloss of stamina,a nd once teh body is out of that it doesn't really matter what teh spirit does since the shell can't move or speak or breathe or anything without that.

Planeswalking? Seth is only a elementalist and Alchemist. I guess he could he could do that with seal magic with doesn't have to do with those two, but he doesn't know really anything like that, but I think only thing that Seth could use that comes even close to something like that might be The seal of the opal serpant, but it is only but a long distance teleport skill.

To the first: Tsunade has like.. a fake appearence, period. Including her breasts. So the exact point where she was stabbed through her chest would be hard to tell. Now, the second one, I dun' get myself. domokun

My only comment on the argument of energy systems, be it psionics or magic of whatever sort, is this is all make believe, and there's more than one system for anything. It's not real. You can say 'this is how mana/chakra/psionics work' but then somebody who does it completely different will in no way be wrong, unless you add the disclaimer 'according to this source this is how it works'. It's all made up, so it doesn't matter if they're taking what they made up or what someone else made up. And ultimately, being as it's made up, people will do what they will do. Unless it be copying something shown in a show/game precisely, people will do whatever they want however they want here, and how they do it is a little less relevant. Using a system of magic is only appropriate for two reasons; 1- to add a sort of flavor to your character.
2- to build yourself personal limits and systems.

It's just a guide for yourself. When you force it on other people, it is nothing but a source of arguments. When people build a counter mage or someone immune to psionics, they're not picking a kind- they just want a character who doesn't have to worry about having people blow him out of existance from miles away with a twitch of their nose and a wiggle of their ears. I've seen private guilds where there is one way magic works and it is explained clearly for everyone to see and the limits and uses and such are given. Unless you define it clearly for everyone involved to see and they all agree to follow that system, it doesn't do anything but make arguments. Gaia is people roleplaying in an imaginary world- as it's imaginary people and there are many of them, it's about adapting and seeing how it comes together from everyone. It's terrible roleplay practice to tell someone off because they imagine something in no way real a little differently than you do. Either talk to a mutual agreement on it, or else accept the difference and let it be.

People who use magic more often than not don't explain why- why should a counter mage/antimage/antipsionist have to explain how he works? Ultimately, it's about the effect and a very crude idea of either 'magic' energy or 'mental' energy being involved, and you play on no more than that with either unless they define further for you what it means for them. Ultimately, these people will ignore you if they want to regardless of if it makes sense how you do it or not. I like to have an idea of how my characters do things, but I don't expect other people to make their characters do things the same way, and I don't hold myself to meet the definitions of outside sources either. Maybe it's not as competitive, so maybe I've giving up ground that could be used in a competition, but generally if people have defined their character as having an ability in the profile before using it, and it isn't some god-moddish instand kill or something, I let them use it. My character might be immune or whatever, situation depending, I like low power characters with lots of immunities to things that I feel people tend to get all complex and power-play-ish over most often, but I let them use it.
