As soon as Reeve was about to punch Fujiwara sidestepped to Reeves right, trying to catch the thrown punch in his right hand as he tried to elbow Reeve in the face with his left elbow. A serious look on his face as he did this.

Reeve ducks, feeling the elbow graze his ear as he changes targets, slamming his head toward Fuji's ribs, now exposed thanks to his punch.

Fujiwara had been expecting to hit Reeve, and had a counter measure if he had missed. Except that in that counter measure, it didnt involve being headbutted to the ribs. Fujiwara was caught completely off gaurd and groaned as he felt a small crack in his higher, left ribs. He took a few steps back though as they instantly healed thanks to his instant regeneration technnique.
He took a few staggering steps back before throwing a random shot with his right fist at reeves general facial area. The ijutsu technique he had used just now had drained alot of chakra really fast, and he was now starting to tire. He grimaced and slowed his chakra down. Now that he knew it worked, he would have to use it only when he needed it. He grinned then, positive that reeve had avoided the right punch and was preparing for Reeve to charge in.

Reeve, true to prediction, had evaded the punch, brushing his left arm against Fuji's right and wading in to attack Fuji's supposedly injured torso with a flat-palmed punch.

Fujiwara uses his left hand to push Reeves strike way off course and uses this movements momentum to turn himself to face away from Reeve as he flexibly uses his right foot to kick at Reeves exposed side before turning back around in one solid motion.

Reeve circles away from Fuji's foot, moving so that he was facing away from Fuji, as Fuji had done. The difference is, when he turns away, Reeve shoots his elbows back like two pistons at the height of Fuji's chest.

He missed Reeve so he was expecting to turn around and get punched in the face. Instead he was met with two elbows to the chest. He tried to roll with it but took some damage. With this done Fujiwara quickly reacts by throwing a kick towards the back of reeves knee cap. That way Reeve would fall and fujiwara could either regain the advantage or get back some lost ground, making it no longer a close range fight.

Taking the kick, Reeve falls to the ground but catches himself on his hands, looking up at Fuji with an expression that is the physical embodiment of 'this cannot be good...'

Indeed it was definetely NOT good. As Reeve looked up at Fujiwara he'd notice that fujiwara wasnt so much standing, as he was falling through the air towards Reeve, one leg straight out ready to get Reeve right in the center of his back. "Atomic Leg Drop!" he cried with a grin on his face.

CRUNCH.
Reeve rolls out from under Fuji's leg, wincing in pain. Not willing to let it happen again, he stands up, though it's more of a lurch, and his stance is much more leaned over.

((Randomly posting, just to show that I'm still among the living.))
Iri's at the back of the dojo, laying down and eyes closed as her head rests on a wing. She reaches into a pocket of her sarong skirt after a few minutes of dully gazing up at the sky. What she pulls out is one of those bottle rockets she brought from home. That and a lighter.
"Never did use those things," Iri mutters to herself.
A wing pushes her up and Iri looks around. What could she use to hold the rocket in place to launch it? And what would she aim it at?

As Reeve removed himself he quickly rolled away and righted himself. He saw Reeve standing, now leaning slightly. He hoped he hadnt seriously hurt the man. He waved that thought away as he then rushed in, about to deliver the, hopefully, final blow. An uppercut with all of his weight behind it. If this connected there was no way Reeve was getting up until he woke up. If he missed then he was going to be very very vulnerable indeed.

Reeve reacts on synapse, not thinking of what he's doing. As such, he puts both hands on Fuji's fist and jumps upward, using Fuji's punch as added momentum. At the height of the uppercut, he moonsaults neatly over his opponent, using the fist as a gymnast would use a pommel horse. However, he'd forgotten about his injured back, and the landing, hard as it was, jars it painfully. All delusions of grace and dexterity gone, he falls on all fours again.

Fujiwara turned quickly, only to see Reeve on all fours again. He frowned, as he knew that his back was hurting now, and being a friend he wanted to help. Yet this was a spar, they were technically not on the same side. He took one step with his left and lt loose a kick at Reeves face as if it were a soccor ball. He paused though, a good half an inch from his face. "Well." he said simply. "That's that i'd say."
