Ehhh, Evangelion was too strange, depressing, and graphically violent for me.
Kind of like Full Metal Alchemist except for the last part. XP

Haha, I was only twelve when I started watching
that series. I'm not saying it isn't any of those
things - but I loved it! I still do! It was just...
different.

Not surprising. It's a manga that was made in the 80s. The last volume was published in English last year, finally, many mini-series have been made from it, there's an anime series, like four movies, and the creator just started on a sequel/prequel this year.
All twenty seven volumes were published long ago but it's still going strong.

Yeah, there's even video games and figures and junk.
It's based upon Greek mythology. Athena's saints wore different cloths based on the constellations. The gods are reborn at certain times and usually fight each other. It's awesome!
And it's battles have served as an inspiration for future manga and junk.

Hanakimi is also good, the artwork is fantastic. Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Sakura Taisen, Eden, Get Backers, Black Jack... they're great too. 3nodding
