"Oh?" Dari teased, "Who's your boyfriend?"
He took Cody's hand and dipped low to half-walk back into tent,taking his lover with him. They were good at killing time, even when nothing especially exciting happened.

Cody smiled, and then pretended to think about the question. "You know him, I think. Good looking guy, beautiful eyes. Lights up the room where ever he is, as long as he's smiling." He followed Dari into the tent.

"Oh?" Dari asked, "I'm sure he feels very lucky to be yours." He flopped back against their giant Frankensteined sleeping bag and wrapped his arms around Cody before rather passionately locking lips. Kill time indeed!

It was later in the week when Dari came to pick Cody up from school and they headed for a local coffee shop. Dari was always amazed at how chipper Cody seemed at the end of a work day when he didn't have to grade a stack of papers.

Cody greeted Dari happily, and seemed oblivious to the looks he received from lingering students. "Hi love," he said. He followed Dari to the car. "Which coffee place?" He asked.

Dari actually offered the kids a smile. They were staring, but it wasn't because he was freakish. It was because their professor was getting into a car with a man, and that was fine. He didn't wave, just smiled to the kids, then smiled to Cody.
"I was thinking the one by Chase's? It's a little out of the way but I have a craving." It was funny, he never really felt hungry but his body was developing preferences and urged him this way or that when food was planned. Chase's was a high-end boutique. The cafe nearby was fantastic too, if a little small. He'd taken Maia to Chase's before just for a day out. Toby wasn't as fond of clothes-shopping, but they got to surprise him with all of their finds.

Chase's? That expensive clothing store? Cody couldn't say he'd been there. "Alright," he agreed, giving Dari a smile. He climbed into the car and looked to Dari.
"I've been looking forward to spending today with you."

Dari leaned over the center console and gave Cody a quick kiss.
"Me too." With that he buckled back up and started off toward the somewhat pretentious cafe with his love. They had to park on the street to get in, as they had entered the shopping district.

Cody was smiling as they drove, watching Dari at times and at others looking out the window. "This weekend we should do something," he said.

"Sure!" Dari agreed, unbuckling and opening his door carefully. He didn't want anyone to drive by quick and take it off. "What do you have in mind?" Cody would have to get out to answer, though, as Dari had already left the vehicle and was moving around to the sidewalk on Cody's side.

Cody climbed out of the car. "I'm not sure," he said. "I thought we could decide together." He kissed Dari's cheek.

"Sure." Dari nodded and took Cody's hand briefly before entering the cafe. "What do you want to drink?" he asked as he pulled out his wallet. There was only one person ahead of them in line, but the place was pretty packed. Their seating arrangements might be tight.

Well. It was definitely more crowded then he'd expected. He took Dari's hand, looking around. "A chocolate mocha?" he wondered.

Dari nodded, and when they got to the counter ordered Cody's drink and then his own. They took turns at things like this, even if Dari always preferred to pay. He went to stand at the end of the counter with Cody to wait for their drinks, smiling and also looking for a place to sit.

A good looking blonde seemed to spot Cody and Dari. He waved them over once the two had their drinks. "Dari!" He called. "C'mon, there's a spot over here."
Cody began to frown as soon as he spotted the guy, but it wasn't like there was anywhere else to sit.
