Nodding his head, Reno added, "It is very confusing, I know. But to your earlier question; I 'ave a Shellder, Snivy, Beldum, and an Axew. Why does it matter so much?" Reno would get around to feeding Io just as soon as he saw what Terashi was planning.

I shook myself from my cluelessness to answer the newcomer. "I, uh... was going to challenge you to a Pokemon battle, to help strengthen your pokemon, when you're not busy."

"A battle? In that case, I'll get Io her food, you go with Terashi, Reno, have some fun." Sub said to the male trainer.

Reno looked at him and gave a curt nod. "Alrighty then. And I'll do it Sub. Just let me feed our little jailbird. Gotta see 'ow shes doing." Turning on his heel, the aforementioned Beldum trailed after him, having its Pokeball hover beside it. Grabbing some food from the kitchen, he ventured down into the holding cells. Lightly tapping on Io's cell, he said, "Soups on, miss. 'Ope your 'ungry."

Down in the lab, tucked away in a corner, a Lunatone floated silently. Yeah, it was Two. The Lunatone had been spending its time there, just.. kinda staring. It had no idea why it liked it. It came from space, and the Meteorite had as well. They were both rocks, so who knows? This thing could be a sleeping Lunatone. Well, obviously it's not, but explain that to the Pokemon in the corner.

Once Reno went downstairs to feed Io, I had my chance to ask Sub what he meant by all of that, but something else had already caught my attention. Beldum? That dude has an underevolved Metagross?
He'd be one to watch, I realized. "So, what you're saying is that rock gave her some kind of Pokemon power? And she could control it? And, what, you put an energy type she's weak to into her body, so she can't use her power anymore? I asked.
I sounded like I had the gist of it, but I was really just making wild guesses.

Io was asleep in her cell, huddled up against the corner. You could see where she was going a little made as strands of her black hair dotted the floor of the cell, not enough was pulled out to create bald spots but it was enough to know what she was doing.
Back in the lab. "That Lunatone is creeping me out..." Sub commented before turning to Terashi. "Well, let me explain something first. All living creatures have chi, life energy. Channelers are humans who can use an item called an artifact to harness a Pokemon's chi, their most trusted Pokemon, for their own use, depending on the type they are mastering, and the Pokemon. Like a Water Channeler could use the Water Chi from their Pokemon to bend water to their will. Any who, Io gained Psychic-like abilities from this rock, and the device that's attached to her absorbs, and nullifies her Psychic chi. Got it?"

I started to say something to Sub, like he wasn't making any sense, but actually, he kinda was. My brain started putting together the pieces, and making me understand. So, chi was the life energy that all Pokemon used in their attacks, but it's not just Pokemon that have this energy. They're just the only ones that can use it. Or so I thought. So, Io used her channeler powers to take Psychic chi from that rock, and used it to... what? Go crazy, Sub said, but what exactly did she do?
I didn't ask him that, because another realization hit me, too. This explains hybrids. Some humans got hit with a large infusion of this 'chi' and mutated into half-human, half-pokemon beings. Or, maybe some of them were born like that?
So, while all this was coming together in my brain, I was staring blankly at Sub, probably giving him the impression that I didn't catch any of that. Oops.

Putting the food down and entering the cell, Reno crouched down near Io. "So, 'ow are you today, miss? Anything I can do for you." He asked, noticing the hair littered on the floor. She must be going mad in here.

While Sub was turned to talk to Terashi, Two quietly floated closer by an inch or two. Why? to be closer to the rock. HisHerIts unmoving red eyes fixed onto the stone. As if that wasn't creepy enough, Two projected a feeling as if it was lusting after this rock to a point where it would shudder if it wasn't a floating rock.

"Go away." Io would mumble from her curled up position in the corner of the cell, she didn't seem interested in talking to anyone.
"You okay, Terashi?" Sub would ask him, a little startled by his stare. He didn't notice the Lunatone's movement, as he was focused on Terashi.

I snapped out of it, when Sub called out to me. "Yeah," I told him. "I think I got it no- what is that Lunatone doing?"

"Not until you cheer up a lil, love. Anything I can do to 'elp you?" Reno sincerely wanted to help this woman. He could see without her power, she felt too weak for anything.

Blizzard120 "You would say that." He said. He remembered how it burned his hands. It was not pleasant. "So..." He looked down at Mawile, then picked it up. "...well I guess we should get out of here and-" He turned around instantly stopped when he saw eyes. He stepped back to notice that Sigilyph was still around, studying. "...you are curious." Tails turned to look up at Sigilyph as well, tails wagging behind him. "It's probably you," he said. "You're the one that's taken down a legendary class Pokemon."

Sigilyph hovered around the Electrike pup, studying him, then hovered off to a different part of the headquarters. There was more stuff to study. "...Sigilyph is weird." Tristen said, staring in confusion.
