Cody considered that, and then grinned. "I guess one of my hobbies is photographing my gorgeous secret agent boyfriend," he said. "But! I have an even better hobby!" He leaned in and stole a proper kiss.

Dari laughed and returned the kiss.
"Well then. Where would you like me?" His mind meandered down a dirty route for just a split second and he let out a one-beat laugh.

Cody's mind quickly followed Dari's; and he paused and looked at Dari. He grinned. "We're not headed there, though."
He looked around and then pointed near the cliff. He went over and waited for Dari. "A selfie with scenery!"

Oh, more selfies? Dari had thought Cody was more of a behind-the-camera man, but he guessed not! He grinned and rushed over and wrapped an arm around Cody. "Don't fall."

"I won't," Cody promised. "But even if I did, I know you'd save me." He smiled happily and offered Dari the phone. "If I ever have these printed we'll have enough to fill an entire shoe box," he said. He planned on taking pictures on all their adventures.

"Of course," Dari said with a grin. Of course he might have to be superhuman to actually do it... No, no, Cody wouldn't fall. He wasn't a child. Dari took the phone and held it at an arm's length for a photo, then looked to Cody. "I'd like that. A memory box sort of thing." He then came in close and took one of Cody's eye. It was only slightly blurry. "Hah!" He loved Cody's eyes.

Cody blinked when the picture was taken. He looked to Dari and smirked. "When people say a photo is 'eyecatching' they don't usually mean literally."
"We should do that. A memory box. Then we can look back at it whenever."

"We should go into town and buy one," Dari said, "I see them at craft stores all the time." He had only recently been able to take on crafting projects, often with Maia, on his own terms. "And anyway, I like your eyes." Nevermind the fact that he had two inhumanly bright irises of his own, surrounded by heavy limbal rings.
"Hey! I forgot to tell you. This morning around 5 Maia texted to tell me she and Toby were engaged!"

Cody nodded. "Yeah, we can do that when we head home," he smiled at Dari. "Really?" he asked. "Yours are beautiful."
"At five?" Cody supposed she'd been excited. "Congratulate them for me!"

Dari chuckled. "Thank you. Yours are as well." They reminded Dari of the sky, as silly and cliche as that seemed. On his first day out of labs the first thing he had noticed was the color of the sky.
"Yeah, at five. They went out a little after I left, so it must have happened a lot earlier. She said she couldn't sleep. I suggested tea." He pulled out his phone then and typed out Cody says "Congratulations!" to Maia and Toby both. He had already texted with Toby while making coffee.

Cody smiled at Dari and stroked his cheek. "I love you," He said. "Want to get something to eat, baby? We could go into town and get something."
He looked to his boyfriends phone when It buzzed. Thank you! You two are next!read Maia's response.

"Sure! Will the tent be safe to leave? Someone might come up here." He wasn't sure what they'd do if they came upon the campsite, but he didn't want to leave their valuables for sure. When he got the text he swiped to see the full message and then showed it to Cody.
"Look." Of course they weren't likely to get married, at least not with a deeper understanding of Dari taking place. Nobody knew yet if his illusionary self would age as well.

It was clear Cody hadn't considered that. He paused and looked back at the tent. "Maybe we should wait," he mused.
He read over the text, hesitated, looked to Dari and smiled. "One day," he said. He kissed Dari's cheek. "Want to kill time, or struggle to put a tent away?"

Dari just chuckled and put his phone away. One day... No. There was no "one day" for them, not except under very special circumstances, and even if they did, what was Dari supposed to do with Cody's death? His smile faltered only a moment, and then he kissed Cody's cheek back.
"Kill time. Just a little." The tent wouldn't be all that hard to put away.

Cody leaned in to kiss Dari properly as soon as he'd said he wanted to kill time. "I love you," he said. "I have a confession though. I'm a secret agent too, and my mission is to convince my boyfriend to stay with me another night."
