"What! Well we can still sell this one can't we? I mean a stronger one would probably get us more money right" The teen shouted clearly miffed.

"Well yes we can but breaking this one in would be problematic. It looks like it has no intention of going down easily." He said in response as he grabbed a nearby needle and a bottle before starting to fill it with liquid. "Hold him still I just need to tranquilize it."

It was around now that Dante had decided that he had heard enough. "Kenny take that syringe please." Was all he said as he stepped out of the hallway and into the room. The little ghost just disappeared before reappearing in front of the scientist and taking the needle from him. "Good job. Now I dont know exactly what you all are doing but I do know that you have my Pokemon." He said as he walked up to where Apollo was. Pushing the teen out of the way he reached up and carefully unwound the muzzle like thing from the ponies face. "There you go boy." Was all he said carefully brushing his nose. "I came to get you."

"Hey you can't just barge in here!" The teen said taking out a pokeball. "Lets stop him Poliwhirl!" He said tossing out a pokeball. Instead of the normal blue pokemon that came out a black and white one came out instead.

"Heh I should give you some help." The scientist said with a smirk as he pushed up his glasses. "Lets show them Voltorb!" The small pokeball like pokemon appeared rolling around somewhat on the ground.

"Two agains't one huh? Well then, Apollo, Kenny I guess your up. Lets see if we can get these two to talk."
PostPosted: Mon Mar 05, 2007 4:49 pm

"Voltorb use your Spark attack on that Ponyta!"

"Poliwhirl use Water Gun on the Ponyta as well!"

The black and white Poliwhirl just punched one of its hands out and a jet of water was hurtling towards Apollo. At the same time the Voltorb used Spark, the two attacks combining themselves.

"Apollo Quick Attack and dodge, Kenny use your Confuse Ray on the Poliwhirl." Before Dante could even finish his sentence Apollo had gone into his Quick Attack, his speed easily avoiding the charged water jet. Before they even knew it the Voltorb felt itself being hit with two diamond hard hooves before Apollo escaped again. Seeing that Apollo was away from the other two Kenny formed a small beam of light and shinned it in the Poliwhirls eyes. Unfortunately while the attack did work the Poliwhirl just shook off his confusion before starting to shoot out more Water Gun attacks.

While Kenny was able to phase through the attacks Apollo wasn't able to dodge them all and was occasionally was nicked by one of them. It also didn't help that the room they were fighting in wasn't the biggest.

"Oh I do remember seeing such a fellow. I was minding my own business when I heard a ruckus outside." the man said gladly. "And then I looked outside and there he was with two Eevees, a strange Flareon, and a Vaporeon. And he had em' all battling eachother." the guy said as Linalee listened to the one sided conversation. The guy sure did like talking and Linalee didn't really mind listening. Any information would help.

"And then the Vaporeon made this huge wave of water, a Surf attack I'd bet, and them two Eevee's just ran right through it using a a golden lit Tackle. A Helping Hand I'd also bet. But that boy left about an hour ago. Though I recon he wouldn't be hard to recognize." the man chuckled. "Oh and why is that?" Linalee asked picturing the kid Mag in her mind's eye.

"He had this weird metal contraption on his arm and a broken pair of green sunglasses that only covered his left eye."
PostPosted: Mon Mar 05, 2007 5:31 pm

"That is weird." Linalee said aloud as she could not think of why anyone would want to wear a metal arm or some broken sunglasses. The Mag she had known wouldn't do that. He'd be more practical and go get a new pair of glasses at least. She didn't know about the arm. "I know but like I said, he went up North towards Cerulean a little over an hour ago." The man said.

"Well thanks anyway." Linalee told him as she excused herself from his building. She looked back up the trail and then decided it might just be easier to ride down the slope on her bike and then take the normal road back up. Going with that option she strode over to the ridge and pulled out the folding bike. It was amazing how engineers could make stuff like bikes that folded into a light weight, easily carried forms for when one could not use them. Sitting up on it she looked at the more than 45 degree slope before her.

"Oh... SPOOOIIINK!" Linalee screamed as she rocketed down the slope eventually turning into a normal horizontal position again after she returned onto the road. Unfortunately she also didn't stop in time and rode on right into a large decorative rock on the other side. Flipping over the handlebars (and the rock) and landing on her soft behind. "Owie..." She muttered as she picked herself up and serveyed the damage. "Well at least I and my bike are okay... But I feel like my hiney will be sore for a while." she sighed.

Finally, something that let's me use my real Pokemon! The boy let out an obnoxious chuckle, flicking his hair as he lifted up a Nest Ball with his other hand. "As Leader, it is my duty to defend this town from harm, and that includes trash like you." He milked that last word for any chance to sound like an action hero, smiling inwardly as he did so. With a flick of the wrist, he released his prize Pokemon into the fray.

It stood a good five feet tall, a slick dark blue carapace lining its form. On the tip of its forehead it wore a large ordained horn, which branched off into two sharp spikes. It opened it's round yellow eyes, shaking off an apparently long stay in confinement. A rather intimidating Heracross presented itself.

Bugsy grinned, crossing his arms as he stood behind the large beetle.

While Apollo and Kenny were dodging the black and white Poliwhirls attacks the Voltorb in the back was using Charge trying to amplify its electric attacks. "All right lets try your Spark attack now!" The Voltorb glowed slightly before unleashing a powerful Spark attack that headed straight for Kenny. The small ghost, became intangible just in time, however that didn't really seem to work with electricity and was shocked hard. Floating down some from the force of the attack Kenny appeared to be out of it for a moment. That was not the case though, after a second the small ghost pulled itself up and formed a Shadow Ball in his hands before sending it flying at the Voltorb angrily.

Meanwhile Apollo and the Poliwhirl were fighting, the water pokemon was trying to keep its distance from Apollo by firing shots at him. The Ponyta was doing his best to dodge and land quick Stomp attacks on the other. The whole battle seemed to be in a grey blur. After a bit both pokemon seemed to be tiring a bit, the attacks coming from the Poliwhirl seemed be becoming more sloppy and each of Apollo's dodges were becoming closer and closer to hits. Soon both of them stopped all together, Apollo panting for breath and Poliwhirl's arms sagging down to the ground.

Train ducked at the Zubat swooped at her head. "Ah!" She cried, wondering why the Zubat was attacking her all of a sudden. "Pikachu, give it a good shock!" She said, as Pikachu growled at the swooping bat pokemon.

"Pika...chu!" Pikachu cried as it unleashed a blast of electricity, which hit the Zubat perfectly, sending it wheeling to the cave floor. Before the Zubat had a chance to get up, Train grabbed Pikachu and ran, and didn't stop until she was sure the bat was far behind. "Phew!" she she let out a relieved sigh. Pikachu looked up at her, wondering why she had run.

Train smiled down at her pokemon and could tell what it was thinking. "I didn't really want to hurt it-or have it hurt us." Then she put Pikachu back on the ground, and they started walking again.

Pikachu trotted alongside Train, looking at the caves gray/brown walls. It had never been in Mt. Moon before, so it was curious about everything. Pikachu ran around sniffing rocks, walls, and little piles of dirt, wondering where it all came from.

Everything in the battle ceased as all eyes turned to Heracross. Then a chuckle. "You know, Bugsy, if you had that thing, why didn't you use it?" Kilik asked, crossing his arms as well. Weezing floated warily about, his body aching. His largest head was pounding in pain. He had the will to continue, but did he have the physical strength?

"And now the pipsqueak of a Gym Leader comes to join us?!" Dramon roared, clenching his fists. His Machoke did the same.

Getting herself in order and brushing off the dust Linalee got back on the bike. He rear twinged a little but it was fine after a moment. Pedaling on she went up the road north towards Cerulean city. Wondering why the road even need decorative rocks on the edge she went foreward. Seriously though, it isn't like it is going to save your life, it was more likely to cause a problem.

Casting aside her thoughts on rocks Linalee looked up to the sky. The evening was approaching fast and soon she would need to either camp or find a Pokecenter to stay at. The center was preferable but Linalee didn't really mind being out under the stars and in the wild.

Train saw a ladder and went down it. She dropped the last couple feet and froze. She couldn't see a thing. Her eyes adjusted, and she could make out some rough shapes, but that was all. Train looked down and saw the dark outline of her Pikachu, which made her feel safer. Then she had an idea. "Pikachu, can you make some sparks, so we can see a little better?" She asked.

Pikachu, who had been trying to adjust to the new darkness, heard Train ask it to make sparks. It didn't get why she wanted him to do this until after he had done it, and then realized it when his sparks lit up a small area. Pikachu tried to maintain the sparks, and started trotting ahead.

Train followed closly behind her Pikachu. She saw now how easy it was to get lost in this giant cavern. Up ahead she spotted another ladder. She saw light coming from it, and her and Pikachu immediatly picked up pace. The jumped down the ladder, and Pikachu's red cheeks stopped sparking. They were glad to be back in light, and continued on.

A little later, Train spotted a Geodude. Cool! I'd fight it, but Ratata couldn't beat it, and Pikachu's at a disadvantage...better wait for another, less vicious Zubat to come along. She thought to herself. She stopped and leaned against a wall to take a break, and sighed. "This cave's gonna be hard to get out of, but if we run into another trainer, I can ask directions or somethin'." Train said to Pikachu.
Pikachu's ears twitched as he looked around, then pounced on a small rock.

"It's so unfortunate that a mere child like me has more manners and wits than to size up an opponent due to his physical stature." He sighed, snapping his fingers. "I thought you had more discipline than that, but apparently even something as basic a concept is too much to ask from the likes of you." Bugsy swayed his head from side to side, looking rather unamused at the Rocket's air of superiority. "Aedes," His tone spoke of annoyance, as the boy pointed at the opposing Pokemon. "I don't like that Machoke."

In a surprising showcase of speed, the Bug Pokemon lifted it's elytra, extending large translucent wings. Heracross leaned forward, feet still planted on the ground. A loud buzzing sound started, as it rocketed forward, his clawed feet ripping up the ground. It lowered it's head, the horn scraping against the rocky soil. Before the Machoke could react, Heracross had come to a halt, planting its feet firmly in the ground. It thrust its head upward, the horn lifting the opposing Pokemon up with little difficulty, sending it soaring into the air.

Bugsy let out a hearty laugh, watching in joy as the foe came crashing down. "I would have Kilik, but alas, we do have regulations." He continued his taunts, quite pleased with his Heracross' performance.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 05, 2007 6:40 pm

Kilik's eyes widened. The show of pure strength and agility astonished him. He shook his head. Wow. Part of me is glad he didn't use it. "Weezing!" he called out, pointing a long finger towards the Machoke. "For a fact, you don't have the energy to continue fighting to wits end. If you're going down, take Machoke with you! Self-Destruct!" With that command, the Pokemon nodded happily. Surely, it was more than needed to be done after the number Heracross had done on the Machoke, but using this attack was an invitation to a free nap.

Machoke rose steadily, then looked to find a glowing Pokemon in his face. "No! Machoke get out of---" Dramon's cries were drowned out by a loud whine followed by a massive explosion. The force of the blast sent chunks of dirt flying, and caused his cape to flap violently in the gust. Meaty arms covered his face; he wasn't about to lose his other eye. Seeing Machoke in a heap, he lifted a massive hand and recalled his partner just as Kilik did to his Weezing. "All right then, have it your way!" he snatched another ball from his belt and tossed it.

Kilik clipped his Pokeball to his belt and sent out another with a flick of the wrist. Having both his ball and Dramon's ball land on the ground at a near identical moment created a blinding white flash. In front of Kilik stood his faithful Flareon, who was wearing a quite angry look upon its normally cheery face.

And on the other end, a much larger-than average Poliwrath flexed his muscles. A normal Pokemon of the species was little over four feet tall. This one, however, seemed a foot taller and at least twice as wide. He let out a grunt and slammed his massive fists together.

"Quite the muscle head," Kilik remarked, also gulping. This was bad.

The boy's eyes wandered, as he attempted to look innocent of what he was planning. Well, I don't want to upstage Kilik completely, so I'll just help from the sidelines. Bugsy tapped Heracross with his foot, nodding up to the sky.

The Bug Pokemon lifted itself off the ground, flying upward in a spiraling motion. It came to a halt, lifting its spiked arms up high. The sun beams began to brighten, as the star beat down on the battlefield with even more power than before. Heracross fluttered back down by his trainer's side, folding his wings back in place.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 05, 2007 7:21 pm

Everything seemed to get a little bit hotter. Flareon, on the other hand, loved the sudden boost of energy he seemed to get. It was as if he could take on the entire world. Sunny Day? Kilik looked around, That means Flareon's stronger and Poliwrath's water moves are weaker. This could be the break I've been looking for. He smirked, then dug his heel further into the dirt.

"Try as much as you want," Dramon growled, "but I have the clear type advantage, even with your little sun beams stronger!" Poliwrath punched his fists together and let out another grunt. "I'm not going to fall to a bunch of children! Poliwrath! Lock-On!" The Tadpole Pokemon slammed his fists together again then placed his two thumbs together, as if making a frame around Flareon.

"Flareon!" he called out, "Lock-On makes sure that his next attack will hit!" he warned. So there was nothing the fox could do? The only choice he had was to attack and then wait to get smacked by something heavy? What a world. "That doesn't mean we can't try! Use Fire Spin!" The Pokemon nodded and blasted a tower of flames towards Poliwrath, engulfing the blue creature. The fire seemed even stronger thanks to Heracross' Sunny Day.

Crenu wondered through the town, in no real hurry. He wasn't sure how his pokemon's new attacks would fair in a battle since they were still new, but he hoped they would give him an edge. Making his way to the gym, Crenu stood in front of the doors and swallowed hard. Walking in, he heard his own footsteps echo in the emptiness of the gym. "BUGSY! I CHALLENGE YOU!" He heard nothing and realized Bugsy wasn't there. Crenu sighed as he walked outside and sat outside the gym to wait. He had nothing better to do, and more time to rest could only do him and his pokemon good.
