The Gauru stands there, dripping in drool and anger and all. His claws come up like jungle daggers, but only close to his jaw. He releases a growl at the girl, wondering why she has not run off in fear. He brings his head closer to hers and takes another sniff, a closer sniff of her. His demeanor shifts. He almost looks as if he is smiling.
“Looks like you picked her well, old one.” Instead of words, however, the girl heard growls getting deeper.
Finally, he falls to all fours, raises his back to spring out his fur and then leaned toward her, releasing a tremendous howl.

Buffy grunts in disgust. The stench coming from that mouth was beyond nastytastic. "Ok, Cousin It, let's get this over with." She assumes her standard stance, feet planted firmly shoulder width apart, left fist up and waiting, and gestures with her right hand for the hairy beast to come on.

He quickly rises from all fours. The beast tilts his head as he continues to stare at her. He wasn’t sure whether to be impressed that she did not flee in terror or to bite her head off for insulting a creature that far surpasses her species. With one quick motion, his hand rushes toward the girl and slams her against a wall to a neighboring building.
“That will teach you better manners, stupid human,” he thought.
While on his hind legs, he stands tall, releasing another howl into the night sky. A whack from something as strong and as fierce as a Gauru would easily kill a person. Lucky for her, he was not using his full strength. Think of it like a cat playing with a mouse. Regardless of his desires to shred her to bits, he knew that she would lead him to the girl with their seal. He had orders to find her.
The war-like beast brings out his deadly blades for claws once again and waits for the girl to rise.

sakurahlover remember_spike "Well since no one told me about what happened in Sunnydale, I'm a bit surprise.Anyways, what is wrong with this Kennedy you speak of?"Wesley said as he sat down on his couch. He shifted the phone he held in his right hand to his left. LOS ANGELES Fred knocked on Wesley's apartment door, a bit timidly.
Did he hear it? Should I knock louder? I don't wanna be rude.
She tapped again, 3 times.
"Wes?"
She'd gone to visit her parents for a few days, and when she got back to the hotel, there'd been no sign of Angel. Fred was hoping Wesley or Gunn had seen him, but she couldn't find Gunn. Or Lorne. And if Wesley didn't answer, well, she surely didn't know what in the world she'd do.
Wesley ignored the knocking that came behind the door.He was to caught up with what Andrew was telling him over the phone. The moment he heared Fred say his name, he rushed to the door and swung it open. There she stood with a smile on her face.Wes smiled back and stepped aside letting her in and closing the door behind her.

Kennedy’s screams echo through the open door. She can feel the burning from her right hand all over again. Her heart wanted to jump of her through and runaway into the arms of her haven: Willow. She can feel it erupting inside the pit of her soul.
Whatever they did to her, she can feel the lashes of their ritual. Her arms tremble as if a seizure was taking place. The insane look fades out as fear finally pierces through her eyes. She glances at the young man beside her, eyes wide, tears still dripping off her cheeks. She clutches onto his shirt, trying to regain control.
“Bu-Bu-Bu…” She let’s go as she grips her right wrist tight enough to squeeze it off. Her jaw drops as the hurt continues to emerge. The emblem on her right hand glistens, but now a little sizzle accompanies it. Kennedy glares at the mark, aching with every stare.
“…Bu-Bu-Bu...” She can't say it.

Buffy grins and catches her breath. "Nice." She rises slowly, flicking her gaze quickly around the alley for a weapon. "I'd be a little worried, but I've beat down the oldest and meanest things you've ever seen.. none as UGLY as you... so you do have THAT goin' for you." She dusts off her pants seat, and dives a few feet to the right, grabbing a hold of the broken length of pipe sitting against the side of the dumpster, and coming up in a spinning crouch, left leg flying out and knocking the beast down - for about a second. She waited for it to rise. This might actually be a decent fight.

Xoey shrugged. "It is humanity's time for the world. Someday that will pass also, and new creatures will rise." She beat on the table with her hands while she talked. "Demons being killed by demons. Makes my job twice as easy."

"You still think I'm a demon, don't you?" Atticus asked, sighing, frustrated. Oh well. he thought. There would be no turning her around on that. She was partly right...but if she knew the whole truth, maybe she would be more lenient. He wasn't going to tell her anyway, but he still thought about how she would act if he had.
The food finally came, and Atticus didn't hesitate to dig in after it was set on the table. He was too hungry to pass this up.

Xoey simply nodded. What else was she to think? She had had the innate Slayer ability to sense demons ever since she had become Chosen. Or, perhaps not Chosen, as she wasn't exactly picked out, and an uncountable amount of other girls also got their gifts. Still, it had given purpose to her until-then aimless life, and that made her better off. She was happier now. Wasn't she? The Slayer slowly ate her slice of pizza, neither one of the two speaking until every last piece of food was off the table and Xoey, with a sufficient buzz, was drinking pop through a straw.
She slowly took out the tight braids that were forming two pigtails on either side of her head, letting the black hair hang down loosely. The otherwise-straight hair was wavy from having been tied all day. Sufficiently comfortable she leaned back and looked at Atticus. "So, how do you want to do this? Quick and painless, or do you want to go honorably in a fight to the death?" This whole thing had been exceptionally nice for her. Perhaps she'd been lonely, with no one... but it was still a better life, and she was happier for it.

Atticus was surprised at her persistance. She just wouldn't give up on wanting to kill him. He took a long sigh as he finished up his pizza and set the money on the table, enough to pay for both instead of just his.
"I told you. I'm not going to try and hurt you." he said as he stood up and walked away. He didn't even glance back as he headed out of the door and began to walk down the sidewalk with his hands in his pockets.
He really did hate to be called a demon.

Willow and Dawn headed to Willow's snazzy little Mini-Cooper. "So, Dawnie-pie, where are we off to?"

Xoey smiled. The easy way was always so much... easier. She waved at their waiter as she walked out after Atticus, not bothering to draw her bow. Once she got close enough behind him she moved in one fluid motion, taking his sword from its sheath and plunging it through his back and out his gut. She put her foot on his back as he fell to his knees for leverage as she pulled the sword out, then dropped it beside him. It had been a lovely evening, she thought as she walked away and out of sight. She oulled out the ring from her pocket. The pawn shop was probably closed now, she'd have to go in the morning. Still, the night was young. Perhaps she could go into bar or a club, still. She whistled the theme to Gilligan's Island as she walked.

Phoenix was tired of waiting on Steph to get her a** in gear, and decided to just go patrolling on her own. Having no car.. still.. and Connor being nowhere to be found, she figured she was walking the mile or so into the center of town. And being full of pent up energy, a jog was in order, she thought, as she laced up her Nike's, then grabbed a light jacket and bounced on down the street.

Anger flares through his aura.
"Why you insignificant...!" He raises his hand, claws unsheathed and ready to draw blood. Just before he strikes, he stops himself.
"...no, not until I find that girl. Once she serves her purpose, then I shall enjoy devouring you."
He brings his arm down to his side and slowly walks back into the shadow, waiting for the hunt to begin.

She stares in amazement.
"Well, you're not walking away, you gigantic furball from hell".... Buffy ran after the monstrous thing, intending on finishing her job. Leaping in the air, she landed on his back, piggyback style, then thought, oh crap.
