A hitchhiker walks by with his thumb pointed at the wagon, looking at whatever particular destination lay ahead...

Kenji sees the man and acknowledges him. "Wagon's not stopping!" he yelled, "But grab on if you want a ride!"
His arm hanging off the top of the wagon, he waits for the man to grab ahold.

The hitchhiker acknowledges this call and jumps aboard gracefully.

"Whichever method suits you." Kenji said with a shrug. He looked at the man. "So who exactly are you?"

"My name is Kensuke," he says calmly. "I am an ex-mercinary for the King of Vormor and right now I am looking for a job."

Kenji scoffed. "You think you're tough? Zaan! Stop the wagon!" Without waiting for his companion's acknowledgement, he beckoned the newcomer forward and drew his shortsword. "Let's see it." Kenji said, enjoying himself.

Without missing a beat, Kensuke leaps out of the wagon and jumps into the nearest tree, thinking that his opponent hasn't seen his hiding spot.

Kenji whips out his shortsword and, embuing it with fire, slices through the tree. Hands on his hips, he watches the tree begin it's descent towards the ground. "That's the best the king's man could do?" Kenji boggled.

While Kenji is retorting, Kensuke leaps out of the tree as it falls and launches a flaming arrow at Kenji that grazes his right ear.
"Come and get it!" Kensuke shouts as he draws his own shortsword.

"Hmm, not bad," Kenji laments. He places his foot in the path of the newcomer's fall and waits, sheathing his sword. He feels a trickle of blood run down his neck and pointed at his opponent, sending a small ball of snow at him.

"Oh so you want to play like little kiddies?" says Kensuke as he launches a snowball at Kenji, followed by a ball of fire. He takes the time to wipe the snow off of his face.

Kenji leaps out of the way of the projectiles, suffering a frayed hem of his pantlegs but nothing worse. He smirks at Kensuke and mutters "Boom"
The snowball explodes into a thousand icy fragments, shooting all over the place. He laughs and ducks the shards.

"ARRRRGH!!!" shouts Kensuke as the crystals pierce his skin. He stumbles back for a minute, and then charges Kenji with his shortsword, but as he gets closer, he jukes and lights an arrow that he fires at Kenji.

Preparing for the sword slash, Kenji was caught offguard by the juke. The arrow hit him in the arm and seared his flesh. He grimaces and aims a kick at Kensuke, drawing his sword again.

The kick hits Kensuke square in the stomach. He staggers a few steps, making it look like the blow got him good, but as Kenji draws his sword, Kensuke launches another fireball at Kenji's sword arm.
