Dagoth DeSeer Vice Captain
|
Posted: Sun May 03, 2009 3:11 pm
Dagoth looked up as his fight was called forward, it looked like he was going first this time. It suited him more this way boredom was one of his few weaknesses. He hoped into the deep pit, enjoying the small thump the sand made as his boots hit, Dagoth looked around the crowd gathering to watch had grew. Word had reached completely that there was another DeSeer competing and this one was far more tricky than the last.
Dagoth looked across at the smaller figure across from him, the person wrapped in dark robes hiding their full body and face bar a small strip for their eyes. The skin he noted was a slightly obsidian and he let a small smirk spread across his lips, the cainite spoke in a cool slow Arabic.
"Lets make this intresting shall we warrior? No clan abilities, just fist for fist. Settle this as true warriors would."
Dagoth got no response simply a nod, it was all the crimson haired cainite needed. For if he was correct his opponent was Assamite, their very abilities something he wanted to avoid spilling out with so many of his bloodline here. It would spoil any plans he had.
He wouldn't need to wait long as the cainite saw the mass of cloth heading towards him, and the thick thud of someone's shin against his forearm. Dagoth chuckled and swept towards his foe, watching them with great interest as they rolled backwards hugging the ground.
Dagoth clapped prompting a small bow from his Assamite challenger, this now obviously female assassin was well trained in slaying other cainites. More so than he guessed a male counterpart would be, he strikes came fast and low targeting the cainites joints. The small dance they had parrying and dodging would have made for quiet the show for the those watching. Dagoth watched each muscle turn and move, the assamite becoming increasingly frustrated at the seeming easy to which her assault was being stopped.
After another brief flurry of attacks the assamite dropped back rubbing her hands together. The bruised and welted fleshing beginning to show, Dagoth bounced on one spot stretching his arms and legs out. A little disappointment showing on his face, her attacks had becoming robotic the same pattern and moves again and again. Her time was over and as Dagoth stepped forward all anyone would hear would be the last gasp of shock from the assamite.
The crimson haired cainite had gripped her by neck and ankle, spreading her form across his back. With one single flex sheared the small skull and spine from his body, Dagoth grinned with glee as the bones and body turned to dust in his hands. The older members of the fang realised now that the fight had been over for some time, Dagoth was simply playing to the crowd or to himself no one but the cainite was sure.

*Stalking his halls, eyes lingering on all that surorunded him, Ice led the way to the dark iced area he had previously forbidden Dae from approaching. Like stars in the night sky, the ice reflected light almost like a mirror of obsidian as Ice opened the large vaulted door into the space beyond, air rushing out in a cool breeze, whispering almost to them as Ice walked into the darkness beyond, bidding Daegonna to follow him*
This is one of my most sacred spaces... it is here I have chronicled all that is, was, and all that I recall. This is my hall fo living memories and faces. Everyone I have ever been, ever loved, ever called beautiful.
*As they walked, the halls seemed to grow noisier, the wind more... prevailant? Whispers on the breeze were distinct now, and as they turned a corner into the hall proper, it became clear why. Masks covered the walls, floor to ceiling, stretching off into the distance as far as the eye could see.
And every single one was moving, speaking, whispering.
Ice smiled as he stepped forwards, the sussurrus of voices raising as he passed among the beautiful faces*
Death masks, they recall even personna and form. Each one is a record of the person that was. Would you believe even Pharoah;s and Ceasers rest among my collection? I am a hoarder of beauty.

Daegonna followed silently, her unease growing with each step. She saw where he was leading her. She'd been forbidden from going anywhere near this hall, before, and quite frankly had no desire to see what was so special to Ice. She followed anyway, her tail flicking anxiously from side to side. The whispers on teh wind were unsettling, and did not grow any less so when she realized what the source was. Masks uncounted lined the dark ice walls, stretching back further than even her sharp eyes could see. As he spoke, she gazed around, wide-eyed, at the faces. She didn't like where this was going.

*Bailey smirked as the whisper of voices spread through the Fang, recalling Dagoth to his side with a mere snap of his fingers. As Dagoth left, he;d be past by the cloaked man, identity still unknown. Red eyes cooly appraised Dagoth as they passed each other on the stairs*
Such will not beat me, DeSeer. I have learned much since last I faced one of you.
*Entering the pit, the man threw of his cloak, revealing the same leather, straps, buckles and coverings that left his face stillin shadow, only his eyes clear to be seen. Opposite, the Spiral Dancer was let loose into the pit from a cage, no one trusting the beast at all, and it was clear why - rabid and ravenous, the 'man' stank of corruption, taint, and the Wyrm. Laughter like a hyena erupted from the crazed ones lips as he entered then pit and stared lopsidedly at the cloaked figure.*
Tha masta will lak your blood... lak it verrrr much.
*Without warning, he charged. He made the smoothest change from man to wolf anyone at the Fang had ever seen, gracefully sailing towards the unknown man with jaws open to bite, his speed so great the man didnt even get a chance to dodge. The jaws clenched over his shoulder as the unknown man threw his head to one side so his throat wasnt at risk, but....
CRUNCH.
The wolf yelped and fell back, blood pouring from its mouth. Two cracked teeth remained embedded in the mans armour as he stared at the wolf, his flesh showing through his ripped armour - skin of marble*
Your master knows NOTHING of corruption! Not compared to the one who made me!
*The cloaked figure leapt. Claws slid out of his hands, but the wolf was fast, skittering aside so ythe pit turned into a dance ring, the two feinting and slashing each other where they could, until enough blood had been spilled - form the wolf at least - to meet demands. The wolf beaced and howled. Blood all over the floor glowed brilliantly, blinding the unknown man for a brief second before a fetish rose from the center of the floor, dominating the cloaked man's vision, its eyes haunting, trying to drag him into his own personal hell as it closed to drag him down the Spiral.
Above, the crowd went mad - they would not condone an Abomination being made here, even in the names of a match. Abominations were hated by ALL Garou and Kindred, but they ned not have feared*
My will is my own... since I broke my bond. You lose, pup....
*In a blur of speed almost too quick to folow, the man darted THROUGH the Fetish, a flare of impossibly power flowing down his back in an indigo streak as he denied the fetish its chance to pull himunder, and then he was on the wolf, one hand thrusting up into its throat, the other piercing through both his eyes, two claws extended. Silence reigned for a moment, then the fetish screamed and faded as its master scarbbled, knowing it was too late. WIth its throat out and unable to see, it stood no chance as the masked man reared his hand back, and LITERALLY tore the creatures heart free*
Pathetic....
*again, he looked up at Dagoth, promising with agesture that the same awaited him, when the time came*

*Ice led Dae onwards, towards the room at the end o the halls, the epitome of this bizarre collection. Stepping inside, the masks here were beyond neautiful, the men and women depicted angelic in their beauty, a raised dias leading upwards in the center. It was towards this Ice walked, leading Daegonna upwards to see the three masks that sat in red silk depressions at the top. One was Faye, one Corbin, one Bailey. Ice ran his fingers lightly over the masks, then stooped and selected a beautiful female mask from the edge of the platform, her lovilness complemented only by the beauty of her accented voice as it whispered*
Here. Try it on. You need to understand what these are before I can give you what you will need. Please do not argue with me. I am not going to hurt you.
*he held it out. If Daegonna did as he asked, when the mask slid on, she;d experiance a truly bizarre feeling. Her body would take the form of the woman the mask belonged to, long blonde hair falling in straight waves... complete with the personna, memories and feelings of the woman flooding into Dae's mind, there until she took the mask off, at which point she would be as normal, look normal, no ill effects, the woman gone form her head though the memory of the experiance would remain. Ice woudlnt touch her while she was experiancing his toys, but.. he did keep an eye on her to see if she woudl click that the masks were made literally from the bone of the people they represented, their faces LITERALLY culled and claimed by the deranged faun for his gallery.*

Daegonna continued down the hall at Ice's heels, staring at the masks. When he led her to the dais, she frowned a bit at the sight of Corbin's, but she didn't say anything. She was beginning to suspect she knew just what the masks were made of. Ice ran his hands lovingly over the masks, then stepped back, and handed Daegonna a beautiful female face. She took it, and looked uncertainly up at Ice, then back down at the mask. She hesitated for a moment, but obeyed. She lifted the mask to her face, and...it fit perfectly, molding to - molding over her own sculpted features. It did not stop there. Her body reshaped it self, sliding and realigning until she was another woman, a woman whose thoughts, persona, and memories flooded Daegonna's mind. Strange lips parted and she gasped, and even that was unfamiliar to her. She let the new memories and thoughts trickle through her consciousness, like running her fingers through rich silk. She knew beyond a doubt just what the masks were crafted from, and she even had a vague notion of how he had preserved thought, memory, personality, and essence in them. Finally, she took the mask off, gasping softly. Then she looked up at him, her confused frown deepening. She didn't ask questions. There was no point. He knew she was confused, bewildered, and wondering what the flying ******** was going on. He'd tell her or he wouldn't, and she wouldn't change that by nagging or demanding answers.

Now imagine the trouble I had taking a mask of Corbin while he was still alive... not easy, I can assure you.
*He gently replaced the mask and lovingly stroked the masks that sat at his side, in pride of place*
Everything a person is I can preserve. Everything they think, do, feel, know, even power to some degree. Have you thought about what will happen if you go home? Truly thought about the problem? If THIS ends?
*As he said this, the wolf bit at the tigers throat and Ice knocked the barriers between them aside, taking her in his arms, nothing halting the flow between them of power and need*

Daegonna shuddered at the thought of how Ice had made a mask of a living subject. And it was because he liked Corbin so very much. That was frightening, to say the least. When he asked if she'd thought about what would happen if she went home, she opened her mouth to answer, then stopped. She realized what he meant, and what HUGE problem she'd completely neglected to consider even as the wolf bit at the tiger, and the tiger returned the favour with a sound that was half growl and half purr. He swept aside the barriers she'd put up, and his power crashed through her, knocking the breath from her lungs. She clutched at his arms to keep herself from collapsing. Her own searing fiery heat poured into him, as if it would burn him up from the inside out. She didn't need to answer. It was kind of obvious she had not considered that detail.

*ice smiled and leant down, licking her cheek, pressing the line of his body against her to absorb more of he rheat, refusing to even TRY and ward and shut it all off - he knew there was not much time left and he didnt WANT this to go, for all he;d be able to draw on her power from afar*
I can make it easier for you... a gift. MY mask. It will not be the same, and you must only use it when you are desperate, but... it will stop you from going mad.
*he hissed the words out between flares of power through them both, the wolf howling with glee as his icy flanks heated against the wamrht of the tiger, with whom it remained entwined*

*The portal opened above the chasm, in the ice fields to the side. Roan landed in a crouch and gazed about her, immediately feeling for Ice while she waited for her boys to arrive*

Iden emerged from the chasm. And, as per orders, when he landed, he remained in place. His face was hidden by the mask, making his feelings hard to percieve. But his stance suggested that he was not pleased with staying put, even though he had yet to move.

Daegonna allowed Ice to press his body against hers, molding together. Power ebbed and flowed between them, a constant swirl of hot and cold, fire and ice. She leaned against him, drinking in that heady power. Her eyelids fluttered. "...You...You would do that for me?" She was confused. He sounded like he didn't think he'd see her again. Between their minds, the wolf and tiger romped and rolled, entwined so closely they could have been one animal. "Ice...You sound like we're not going to see each other again." She whispered uncertainly. She lifted her face to look up at him, searching for some kind of answer in his face.

The fact you almost sound like you WANT to see me again heartens me... but... we WONT, Daegonna. You will go back to your home, they will help break you of your need to be near me and I will once again be the monster in the dark, and nothing more, save for when I call on your power and you hate me still more for it. This IS the last time.
*He closed his eyes and let his cold fill her, coiling around every part of her being though he was only hugging her, nothing more*
I will make the mask for you. Stay. Stay until it is done and we will go see your clansmen together. I warn you though... the process is gory.
-------------------------------
...I sense them both. They're deep in the chasm. Remain here until I either shout for you, or come back. Agreed?
*she glanced at both of them in turn, waiting for them to confirm her orders before she woudl venture into the chasm to find Daegonna*

Agreed
