Winona let out a labored sigh as she recalled her final Pokemon. "Not bad trainer, or should I say Dante." Clipping the last Pokemon to her belt, the Gym Leader smiled at him. "Not bad at all." she said sweetly, handing him the gym prizes. "Make sure to teach that to someone really special ok? It's a TM I made myself." She walked away from him, waving him out with her usual pompous attitude. "Make sure to say hello to Mike for me." the girl added as she dissapeared into a back room.

Napalm stood there, his normally bubbley head and ruby red skin masking the little bump the falling Elekid had just graced him with. He smiled cutely, reaching out his hand politely. Another magma-like drool landing on the ground with a sizzle.

((Thanks for finishing that battle Mike.)) Not really realizing that the battle was over Dante blinked a few times befor saying. "Thanks...?" Bahamut floated over to him and let out a happy chear even though she was tired. "You did a good job today Bahamut. Let's get you to the pokemon center." He said as he put his newly aquired stuff into his bag and put Bahamut back into her pokeball and left the gym. Only to encounter the battle that Kenny was having with the Kecleon. "Get him Kenny." He said encouragingly. The small ghost pokemon nodded as a tackle attack went right through him.

Elekid looked down at the hand. Uncertainly, the Pokemon lifted up a shakey hand and took Magby's in it.
"Huh. Look at that," Kilik crosed his arms and looked at Mike, "Friends already." However, his eyes widened. Elekid was tightening his grip on Magby's hand.

"I don't know how much it'll cost yet, but don't be blowing all your money on frivolous spending." Keegan sighed, thinking of a plan. "I'll pick it up from my parent's house, and I'll meet you somewhere to give it to you. Don't know how long it'll take, though," he added. "It's getting late here, so I'm gonna sleep now. I'll contact you when I have the egg and a price, alright?" Keegan clicked off the phone, and lied back on the couch, and sighed. He stared up at the ceiling for about a minute before he realized something. "Son of a-" He snatched his PokeNav up again, and redialed Jaeshan's number. "Yeah, I'm gonna need to know what Pokemon you want," he said sheepishly, wishing he could bury himself under the couch itself, especially after the cute nurse behind the counter started laughing at him.

"I've... failed you, Sabrina," Nina said, barely able to allow the words to escape from her mouth. "I'm so sorry... You saved my life and I couldn't do anything to bring yours back..." She shut her eyes and sobbed violently. Her eyes burned and stung like a Entei's flame as they gushed down tears for at least the dozenth time that day.
"I'm-- guh-- not worthy to be Saffron's Gym Leader," Nina sobbed; "I'll never be as good as you were..." Her next few attempts at sentences were nothing more than incoherent babbling. "If only I didn't kill that Rocket and seek revenge, we wouldn't be where we are right now... you wouldn't be in the DAMNED GROUND!" she said, in a screeching sob. Nina fell forward a moment later, on the ground in front of Sabrina's tombstone, and hunched up into the fetal position, crying hopelessly. The rain had long since turned the ground into a wet, sopping, muddy mess, and Nina's dress was beyond stained, and lying in the mud wasn't helping any, either.
"I love you so much," Nina said, at least a half an hour later. Incredibly slowly, she got to her knees, and then to her feet, and wiped her eyes. She looked at Sabrina's stone, and sniffled. "You were an amazing woman. I'll never forget you, so long as I live... And I promise, if I can find some way, I'll bring you back..."
Nina sniffled a few times, and wiped her eyes again. "I love you, Sabrina," she whispered. A moment later, she sent out Krystal, and flew through the sky back to Blackthron. The rain was helping to wash away some of the mud that Nina had collected. She flipped her hair back a couple of times and ran her fingers through it, trying to get any excess out.
Krystal hovered next to Nina's bedroom window, and the girl hopped in. She removed her dress and put it in the dirty clothes, and rummaged around through her drawers for some new clothes. She finally decided on a blue outfit-- she figured that if she was going to be a Gym Leader, she had to dress professionally. She dried herself off and changed into the outfit, before climbing back onto Krystal.
"Take me to Saffron," Nina said softly. And with that, they were off.

"Isn't it cute?" Mike said, unaware of the underlying tension.
Napalm's eyes widened for just a second, narrowing on Elekid's large arms squeezing tightly. He too applied some strength, hoping to show that he wasn't a weakling. Just then a little spark from Elekid's headpeice landed on his nose. The baby Pokemon rubbed it with his free hand, moving his beak left and right. The feeling went away, Napalm sighing happily, only to be surprised by the release of a point black accidental sneeze Ember attack at his new 'friend'.

((Willow, you know Dante has a Rainbow Wing if you ever want to use it. 3nodding )) "All right Kenny how about you finish off that overgrown lizard with a Shadow Ball attack." He said with a grin. Kenny let out a sound muffled agreement and held out his hands as a ball of energy appeared in them. It stayed there for a moment befor shooting off and hitting the Kecleon straight in the face knocking it out. " Good job Kenny." Dante said with a smile as he watched the ghost pokemon float over to him. "Now lets get ourselves back to the pokemon center and have the rest of our team healed up." He finished with a smile. Kenny just nodded and followed Dante as he climbed up the ladder.

"Whoa!" Kilik cried, jumping back.
Elekid jumped back, wiping the soot off of his face. He growled, sparks emitting from the plug on his head. The attack did it; from this point on, he would always despise this Magby. He held up his small fists.
"I'm...thinking he wants to fight your Magby..." Kilik blinked.

((Ghost attacks don't affect Normal types))
Mike clasped his hands together in excitement. "That's awesome, he's only a few minutes old and already he's battling?! I'm in love with this adorable ball of fire!" He dashed over and scooped up his totally confused Pokemon, rushing outside the Center. He continued out a little ways, placing Napalm on the ground. "Don't worry buddy, just hit hard!" The trainer made a few punching motions in the air, the Magby emulating them the best he could with his stubbly little arms.
"You'll do great win or lose." He pet the baby Magby, a smile wide across his beak.

"And just who do you think you are, butting into other people's business?" the boy snarled right back, glaring down at the far-shorter Kasiya.
"I make it my business when people are abusing Pokemon!" she went on, not intimidated by him in the least.
"And just what are you gonna do about it, shrimp?" the boy threatened, shoving her back with a forceful hand. "That Pokemon is worth less than the Pokeball she was caught in. Now you'd better get out of here before I teach you a lesson too."
Kasiya glanced over at the terrified Pokemon, still hiding behind her tail, and back at the boy. "Well if she's worthless to you, then give her to me!" Kasiya was shocked by her words. She, a usually timid, and cautious girl, was standing up to an abusive trainer? She gulped, trying to keep the act up.
"What do you want with a puny runt like that?" the boy waved his hand at the small Pokemon, and she shrieked again, planting her face into the ground.
"To protect her from people like you," Kasiya said firmly. She pulled two Pokeballs from her belt and held them up. "I'll tell you what, if you can beat me, then I'll continue on my way and pretend I never saw this. But if I win, you give her to me."
"Hah, don't make me laugh!"
"I'm serious," Kasiya went on, pressing the buttons on the two Pokeballs to enlarge them as she held them up. "Two on two, double battle. Are you afraid?" she asked, hoping to appeal to his ego.

Bunny gulped down the rest of her juice and finished up her cerial. It was early, too early for her...ok it was 11 in the morning but she rarely gets up before 12. Her brother already left for work but left her a note saying good luck. "hmmmm...where to start" she said while unrolling a large map. Her Eevee Dart jumpped on her lap. "Hey bebeh! Help me find a place to travel to!" He barked and jummped on the table, his front paw landed on Vermillion city. "Okays! thats where we're going!" She rushed to her room and picked up har equipment in her already packed bag. After locking up she headed for Route 7. "Now, only to cut through Saffron City and I'll be in Vermillion City in no time!"

Kilik walked outside, the rain falling slightly on his head. Elekid looked pumped, holding his arms out and puffing out his small chest. Flareon followed, hopping into Kilik's shoulder. "All right, so..." he thought for a moment, "Newly born Elekid only know Quick Attack and Leer. So hit it fast," he ran in place , Elekid copying this with his small feet.
"Now get in there and show that Magby who the 'Mon really is!"

(Oh, that's alright. I read from one of the older Pokedex entries-- Crystal's I think-- that Ho-Oh appears before pure-hearted Trainers, and since Nina isn't pure-hearted... Well, you can see where this is going. 3nodding )
I can't believe this, Krystal thought. Sabrina's gone... She's really gone. And it looks like this is tearing Nina apart... I need to try to find some way to make her feel better. She's been an amazing person to me; she doesn't deserve to feel so badly.
Krystal landed in Saffron a short time later on, and Nina jumped off of the Dragon and recalled it into its Pokeball. She noticed that it wasn't raining in Kanto, and was especially thankful for that. She was afraid that if she was exposed to the rain much longer, she would have fallen ill.
She walked around in the familiar city as the rising sun was creating a pink, purple, and orange color distortion in the sky. Her eyes darted to the Silph Co. building, and she was reminded of the incidents that happened there, so long ago. She was reminded of Kilik and Kasiya.
"He's... still in Vermillion," Nina said. "And Mike's with him..." She turned her gaze to the south gate, that place being where she had spoken to Sabrina for the first time. "I could go visit them... maybe..." She blinked. "N-no. I can't show my face to either one of them... Mike hates me, and Kilik... I've hurt him too badly."
She pushed those thoughts aside, and made her way to the north. She found the Gym, and stepped inside it. Looking around, she remembered that Sabrina had made plans to head for Five Island in one of the rooms that the Gym housed. She shook the thought and memory off, and spied a PC. That must be where Sabrina's Pokemon got sent to, Nina thought. They still don't know... She walked towards it, and pressed a few buttons in quick succession, causing the five Pokemon to be released.
Oracle looked around. "What's... Oh," she said. "Nina, how are you?"
"Less than perfect," she confessed. When asked why, she explained the entire situation to Oracle and the others.

"That's great," Jaeshan said. "Thanks again." He too hung up the PokeNav as the two babies were brought outside to battle. "Where's everybody going?" he asked, jumping as his PokeNav rang suddenly. He checked the name, his eyes growing wide. "Wow, that was fast," he mused as he answered it. "Oh, right, I knew that," Jaeshan grumbled, feeling embarrased. He was glad nobody was listening in on his converstation, as he looked around. "Torchic. The Pokemon I want is Torchic." Making sure everything was in order, Jaeshan hung up the phone again, and sighed. He glanced around, feeling another wave of exhaustion, and he decided to take one of the empty rooms and crash, since everyone else seemed to be interested in battling. "Good night, Ryka," Jaeshan smiled at his friend, and headed off to bed.
