[ ~o~ Where'd Ara and Doomi go?]

Teule obliged, a bit unsure as he mounted the lion, making sure he didn't accidentally let his claws unsheathe themselves. Carefully he seated himself on his shoulders, his arms and legs suddenly spralwing out for balance. He gave a goofy grin at Woko and Jasi, waiting for them to leap on as well. He looked behind them, eyes roaming over the Firekin lands but seeing no one searching for them in the least. They must not have noticed they were gone yet. Teule gulped, wondering if this was annoying Mwali that he ahd to carry them all.

"Uh, Mwali, you know..I can run if you want..."

[-Runs in- ima here!]
Jasiri hesitated before gently leaping on the lions back behind Teule. She unsteadily grasped on, carefully not to claw the lion. She felt a small pang of guilt, knowing the lion was going to get tired even quicker carrying them, but she said nothing. She looked down at Woko and smiled. "Come along, Prince Wokovu." She extended her paw so to help Woko up

Kinjna smiled as Kiu tended to the youngest cub, it was nice to see Kiu devoting himself to something other than his duties and herself. She felt it was good for him to extend himself out to others. As his quesiton floated into the air she smiled affectionately and licked his nose. "I'll tell you about it tomorrow. I am quite tired right now and I am sure once the cubs wake up they'll want something to eat, and I don't feel like dealing with that while I am half asleep."

It was trues, now that the cubs were older dinner for them was beginning to get a bit more rough. Several times she found herself feeling sore from the whole episode, especially with the tiny teeth the cubs now bore. Thankfully it wouldn't be long till they would go to meat. Which reminded her, she'd need to start hunting for all of them so they can get their first taste of meat before she takes them to the rest of the pride. There was no need to go through the whole weaning episode in front of the rest of the pride.

"Just get on and hold on. I'd rather be tired than dead, the more ground we put between us and here the better." He sighed, waiting for the remaining cubs to climb onto his back. He knew that he was more likely to grow tired before running cubs would, but even a lazy adult's stride was far more than a fit cub's run. There really was no choise in the matter. Each moment they stalled was another moment wasted and potentially another moment for his father to maul them.

He felt odd.... he'd never played taxi to anyone- hell he had never done anything for anyone but himself. However- it was in his favor as well as the favor of this odd group. Perhaps he would learn to hunt and survive on his own, find a mate in the new land, and a new home. He just wanted out of this land. A life of nothing but endless naps and meals was no life. Once his brother was king he was better off out of the pride anyway. He'd be pretty much worthless. He was just a spare paw in case one got a thorn in it. Even then, his brother had cubs. He didn't want the throne anyway, just the chance for a better life.

((Arafel ish here too e_e;; ))
Wokovu grinned, taking the help up careful not to scratch either jasi nor mwali. He sat himself down witth the others, finding there was quite a bit of room on the lions back. "Thank you, princess Jasi." he responded, giving a light bow of his head before laying down. "C'mon mom!" he shouted down, tail giving a small wag.

Yakuti staggered a bit, eyes quite thankful for the shade from taka.. she glanced back at mwali giving a sigh before reluctently joining the cubs on the prince's back. She set herself at the front, so she could smell better and closed her eyes. "Just keep walking the way we were going.. it should be a straight line. I'll tell you if we start to get off course.." her ears flicked as she tried to get her nose used to teh smells next to her so she would be more aware of teh ones away from her.

Taka nodded to Mwali, legs itching for a good run even though she'd have to keep herself restricted to a slower peace. She kept a fixated eye on the cubs and fox, making sure they had a good grip adn wouldn't fall off while he was running. She flicked her head back behind them and started off at a slow trot, waiting for Mwali so she could even out her pace with him.

Her nose tingled at the very lgith scent of water but it was still far off, thankfully though, like Yaku had mentioned, it was in a nice straight line. Her ears twitched and placed themselves so that they were faced behind them, 'watching' what was behind her with her ears was almost a habit with lone cheetahs.

"Mwali, if you get tired, I can take two from you.."

He was far too proud to admit it if he had grown tired in the first place- therefore he wouldn't honor her comment with one of his own. He simply allowed himself to run behind her, striding easily over the raises and falls of the sands. He was quite used to the sliding smootheness of minature dunes or the curves and sinks of dips in the sands. It was just about all he knew- nothing but endless waves and hills of golden sand. The sky was always blue and cloudless, the sun was always bright and cruel to the eyes and body. That was all he knew. Endless horizon, endless heat, and endless sunlight.

His body was strong simply from his linage though it was out of shape. He could run for a while- giving only a panting mouth as sign of any wear to his body. He just followed after the cheetah, trying to steady his stride as much as possible.

After a few moments of sulking, Kavu stood, padding to his father's giant side. He stretched, then flopped down beside Kiu, burying his nose into that huge wall of dark-red fur. Kavuasi already adored his father, and wanted his attention and praise, but he wouldn't beg for it and wouldn't have a fit if he didn't recieve it.

Shifting uneasily upon her lithe, yet large, paws..the youth would make her way across the sands that burned into the bottom of her soft paws, not really seeming to bother her, though. Tail swayed just over the hot sand, able to feel the heat radiating against the flesh and fur of her vermillion tail. Nonchalantly padding across their 'lands', trying to find a familiar face. Jifyo had yet to meet up with anyone and actually be acknowledged by any of the adults she'd seem walking around...looking for her aunt and mother was harder than she thought.

((i'm gonna go ahead and start off were Kijinga is asleep, and move from there *ignore all posts before this one! XD that shia made >.>*))

Kijinga awoke, her eyes heavy and her paws scrapping at the dry dirt. her ears flicked back as her tail flicked. she moved about looking at her mother that just entered the thicket. she let out a tiny yawn, then crawled over to her mother. her paw reached out, but before it touched her, she froze. her eyes moved around her as she looked out into the trees. if she talked to her mother, she wouldn't let her go out. a grin appeared on her features as she moved towards the tree line. looking back to her mother, then steping out into the tree's.

Hestia is out scouting again. She must wait, and hunt, and sleep, while the cubs grow - both sets of cubs. One orchestrated by the 'Greater' - a word that makes the sparrowhawk's beak twist into a sneer - and the other...the other hers.

She's watching Kijinga now, with her hawk-eyes; she needs to pick a child soon, a child to become the heir to the throne. And another child, the best of the group, that she can shape and mold....

She watches as the child approaches the tree groove where she lurks. The oasis is nearby; it's the only place in the desert that hosts trees, albeit scraggy and windworn trees. Her black eyes glint mirthlessly. "Come to me, child..." she whispers, softly, inaudibly.

Kijinga's ears p***k, as her tail stops, dead center. her eyes peer into the eyes of Hestia. she suddenly moves fowards, her heart pounding, telling her to turn away, yet, her curiousity pulls her fowards. her neck fur bristles as her paws step over broken tree branches. her mind races to conclusions, to this odd encounter.

The sparrowhawk is sitting in the boughs of probably the most enormous, old, gnarled tree in the area; her eyes are half-lidded, and she hunches slightly. But there's a sharp look to what little of her ebony eyes can be seen, a glint of mischief - and perhaps cruelty.

A chortle falls from the bird's beak, sounding like a sudden crackle of dry paper. She watches the child below her, and something seems to amuse her - but her gaze becomes hard, testing. "Whatever have we here?" She querries, sarcasm dripping from every syllable.

Kijinga rose from her seat, looking at Hestia, her mouth opens slightly "I, am Kijinga" it seemed odd that she would go out and announce her name, to one she barely knew, yet she did, and it was done. her maw stayed open, as she watched the bird. her head tilting at times, she had never seen one up close, this was surely odd. her ears flicked back against her skull as she looked into the eyes of the hawk. a sudden spark of curiousity running through her. her head curves back, into an arch as she speaks once more "And who are you!? if i may ask so..." her eyebrow lifted into a questioning position.

A chortle. "No Firekin are you, fully," The hawk mockingly rings out, flapping her wings and sending a gust of wind down towards the female cub. "Perhaps the spark is there," She says, cryptically, looking critically at the other. "But the fuel is lacking."

At the querry, she smiles; as much as a bird can do. It is not a kindly smile. "I, child, am of no concern to you, at the moment. You may call me Kitara. Kijinga," She says, rolling the name around on her tongue. "What brings you out this far, girl? The woods are dangerous for those...such as yourself."
