Jaeger_Ayers So on Monday I was feeling really lousy, but I went to work anyways. I spent the entire day in a fog, and my work suffered for it. To be honest, I shouldn't have gone in in the first place. On Tuesday I felt even worse and called out of work to take some medicine and hopefully shake the worse of whatever bug was in my system. This worked and the worst of it was over. Yesterday, I reported to work and at about 8:01 in the morning was uncermoniously fired. The boss said that he and my friend who also worked there had to stay until about 7 the night before to fix all the stuff I had messed up on Monday. I knew I had messed up on Monday, but did not think things in general were going so bad and certainly didn't think that my job was on the line. Lousy timing to with the twins on the way. However, this is my city. That being said and due to my being an earnest student in the Univeristy of Life, having graduated with honors from the School of Hard Knocks, and having three gold stars from the Kindergarten for Having the s**t Kicked out of me, I had another job lined up by 8:10 that same morning. Pays a bit more too.

And the fun just kept on leavin'.
Talked to my sensei and he said the head of the karate union I'm in didn't get my annual dues, despite the fact that I sent the check certified overnight delivery. That would totally screw over pretty much everything myself and many of my students have been working towards this year. Fortunately, it was just a clerical error and they had received the check.
I did not need that stress though.

I've been thinking I was screwed on financial aid for a while now, but I just found out that Jak's parents are savvy on aid matters and are really interested in getting me into college.

Miguel OHara I've been thinking I was screwed on financial aid for a while now, but I just found out that Jak's parents are savvy on aid matters and are really interested in getting me into college. *happy dance* Sweet. Where are you thinking of going?

Well I'm gonna find out which community college in my area has the best journalism program, get my Associates Degree, then transfer to Washington State.

Life goes crazy sometimes.
Hi folks. I've been MIA for a while (since right after Halloween), as you might have noticed. I've got some reasons for it, though. And not all of them are crap.
For starters, my class schedule last semester sucked. I had night classes two nights a week, and worked four nights a week. Which meant I was usually left with one evening to try and get as much work done as possible, forget the idea of 'going out.' I couldn't do it though, and ended up staying awake until four or five am most nights to finish my work so I could then oversleep through my one pm classes.
November here is mid-term and paper season, so in addition to all the normal reading and work, I had tests to study for and three ten-page papers to write (I got lucky. My roommate had a twenty-page and a fifteen-page).
Come December, we had final exams. At which time my computer broke. I had to take it to ITS for two weeks, couldn't access Blackboard to get some of the class notes, and had to rely on what I had here. I'm amazed I passed my exams at all.
Which, of course, shows in the fact that I won't be going to grad school anymore. My 2.4 GPA in my major's seen to that pretty quickly. Oh well.
Now add in family trips, which never go well for me. At the most recent one, I found out that my dad has to go to back to Iraq in the next few months. Again.
My roommate and best friend is in Italy until July, and a friend of mine has moved in to help pay rent. A friend with stupid, obnoxious, alcoholic friends. Who are over here. Every. Other. Night.
So yeah. It's been a crazy past few months, and this semester won't be much better, but I think I can handle it this time. So hopefully, you'll see a lot more of me.

...Spector has to finish a portfolio for tomorrow. If it works out well, I'll have an interview by friday at the latest with an indy animation company in NYC that does commercial work for Pepsi and NBA...I hope it falls through.
