Lawrence helped Merryn up then got out of her spot. Setting his book down on the table he looked at Merryn. I'm going to go get something to drink, is there anything you want?
I'd really love a hot chocolate, Larry... Shifting on her feet Merryn made to sit down but ended up staying on her feet. You can have my seat back when you return.

Don't mention it. Sitting down at a new seat he looked at Lena. You're being taught how to use magic? Fascinating.

"Well.... sort of....." she fidgeted as she spoke "he..... gave me powers.... and I think his sister said that, that breaks some kinda rule... but I'm really confused about the whole situation... and so... I dunno... he gave me powers and now he's showing me how they work.... it's... complicated....." she let out a nervous laugh before hiding behind her cup of coco.

Interesting... My magic doesn't work that way, but if you'd like I can research it. Leaning over the table Lawrence whispered- I've been trying to find more out about Merryn and what she can do but something keeps blocking me.
Setting down her cup Ryn choked on her drink. Spluttering still she glared at Larry. Would you please mind your own business? Sheesh. Pushing the boy back into his seat she looked to Lena and shrugged. Sorry about that. He can be so pushy.

Lena giggled a bit before saying "Thanks for the offer Lar-... err... Lawrence... but I'm already catching on as to how it works... and Liam and I are together more often than not... so... if I can't figure something, or do something... he can help me....." she paused a moment before looking to Merryn then back to Lawrence "What do you mean what Merryn can do...? You mean like magic....?" she looked back over to Merryn curiously.

Blushing furiously and kicking Lawrence under the table Merryn cleared her throat. Uhm, well... It's nothing special. Certainly not something I want to tell Larry. Maybe we can talk about it at that party of yours?
Glancing at them Lawrence scowled. Why can't you tell me? Ugh, forget it. If I have to hear about more 'girl stuff' I'm gonna stuff you.
Larry! Jesus, be nice! Staring at his sister he got up and bowed to Lena. Good evening ladies. Draining his cup he turned and left, storming through the door.
Well, that was pleasant.

Well, momma told me that I was only allowed to tell some people. With her permission. Merryn giggled a little and blushed. With what I am comes some power but for the most part since going into hiding I've changed. Shuffling her feet Merryn tried to think of the way to put it. I haven't really lost who I am but gained, or am gaining, humanity.

Lena's curiousity was begining to get the best of her, she couldn't help but continue to ask questions. "So... it's kinda like if you don't use it, it'll start to go away... sort of.... but umm... how come you hide who you are...?" Lena bit at her lip nervously, she hoped her questions wouldn't offend Merryn, she was just curious.
