Rosette paused as Blaise jumped up, she ducked low, keeping her fist in close in case Blaise struck out.
"I hope this isn't how all you mages are supposed to fight!" Rosette said, swinging her left fist to the intent of purposely missing.

Blaise kept her striking distance with Rosette and avoided her swing.
“First lesson,” Blaise said coolly, “Work smart, not hard. If you carefully plan your attacks you can outrun your opponent by tiring them. It takes twice as much energy to punch and miss than it does to punch and hit. If you’re going to take a swing only do so if you are positive that you can hit them, otherwise it’s just a waste of energy. After a while dodging your opponent is going to make them angry simply because they can’t hit you. Their anger will make them push themselves harder and think less clearly, tiring them more. Catch the logic? Think of this not as a fight where you want to beat down your opponent, but as a dance where you want to keep ahead of them.”
Blaise gave Rosette a moment to think about what she just said then stepped in for another hit. She aimed for the soft spot just below the center of her ribs. If Rosette blocked, well done, if not, she’d get the wind knocked out of her.

Rosette nearly missed it this time. She garbbed Blaise's hand with her right hand and held it firmly, not letting her go out of striking distance.
"I didn't want to have to, but I have to prove that I can fight with you people." She said, raising her fist and aimed for Blaise's jaw.

Blaise had to say she saw that one coming, just didn’t prepare for it. Rosette’s fist hit her square in the jaw throwing her back. Blaise caught her balance before she completely toppled over and looked to Rosette. She would have smiled had her jaw not been hurting so bad.
Blaise spat at the ground and saw the liquid tainted red with blood. She laughed and moved her jaw around to help relieve the pain.
“Jeezum.” She chuckled, “Nice shot. You mind not hitting me in the face so hard? I gotta use it every so often you know.”
Blaise felt that the sparing match was helping her relax a little – blow off some steam. Her good humor seemed to be returning a little and she didn’t feel so bothered. Spitting out more blood she shook her head and took a deep breath.
“Looks like it’s time to step it up. Alright Rosette, I got it. No more games this time, I promise. Just say when and we can call it a quits -- get a break in. I don't want to run you ragged.” She paused for a moment, adding a serious note into her last few words, "Especially because tonight is . . . well, nevermind."

"Yeah... I know." Rosette said, dancing on the balls of her feet as she cracked her next a bit,"Sorry 'bout the busted lip, but I bet youre a fast healer. If not, I can give it a shot." She added with a small smile.

Blaise have Rosette a small nod and rubbed her cheek.
“I’m sure that won’t be necessary.” She laughed, “So, let’s have a go and I’ll give you pointers along the way.”
Blaise stayed steady on her feet and did not bounce like Rosette. Different people developed different styles, it just so happened that she liked to stay grounded – she would let Rosette do what she liked. She shook her hands to loosen her wrists then slid into stance. Taking a good sized step forward she struck out for Rosettes face then followed up with a jab to her side. If Rosette were to block both she’d go for a third then back off.

Rosette duked down again, the second blow glancing off her eye, delaying her just a little as she swung out again with her leg to trip her. At least you could say she was dedicated to that move. She was determined to bring Blaise down.

Blaise kicked her feet up to avoid being tripped again then landed where she thought an appropriate place.
“Try and avoid ground work,” Blaise warned, “While effective, it only works in the right situations. Also getting closer to the ground can slow you down and you never want to be in one place for too long. Also, stuff like this happens –” Blaise swiped her foot along the ground then up, throwing a dust could into the air.
Her intent was not to get any in Rosettes eyes, Foresters considered that poor form, but was to get a distraction and a blind spot giving Blaise a small recovery time. The dust still left a haze in the air and Blaise struck out yet again looking for impact anywhere.

Rosette was caught off by the dust, expecting it to go in her eyes. She held up her hands, ready to wipe away any that blinded her, and instead caught Blaise's fist squarely in the chest. The forester packed a lot of power behind this punches, and nearly winded Rosette.
Rosette tumbled back wit the bunch, quickly rolling and getting up on one knees as she touched her chest with her hands.
"Ouch." She said simply,"You hit hard."

(I am extremely sorry for not posting for the last two months. I more or less just recently moved. Due to certain circumstances, the choice of me moving and actually moving happened in about a day. I don't have internet at where I live right now, and my friends[whom I am currently using their internet] have been kind enough to sign on under me to get my daily chance. Hopefully I will be getting internet soon, but until further notice I will barely be on. Just have Kcoul in the woods looking forthe troops, Khnui and Khonos hiding in the forest, with SKhantieniaia playing with her two younger sisters.)

Blaise smiled a bit at Rosettes comment and replied, “So I’ve been told.”
((I would continue this post, but I'm not sure if I should start generalizing. I didn't want to do that then sound like I'm taking over your character or anything like that, so is it okay that I do a super-fast-forward-time-post-of-doom?))

(Why don't we stop with Rosette getting punched here, and I can type a small summary about the sparing between Blaise and Chrono?)

Rosette and Blaise discontinued your fight shortly after that. Rosette, after trying several time to punch and kick Blaise, ended up on her rear several times. She insisted they'd continue their fight, but Blaise had to finally put her foot down after tripping Rosette, causing her to smack her face onto the ground. Dirty and bloody, she was still ready to fight, regaurdless. Chrono had to point out the bsuted nose to get her to stop for a while. While she went and founf something to plug it up with, Blaise tried her hand against Chrono.
It was bad to assume he was soft-hearted in every aspect of his personality. He was quite and able fighter, and fended well against Blaise during the sparing. In the end, it was not Chrono, but Blaise who ended up on her rear several times. He knew an odd style, acting almost lazy until she attacked, then he gracefully spun her around and flipped her over just by tugging on her arm. (Kind of like Judo)
"Sorry about that." He said, helping her up. He did that every time he put her on the ground; he apoligized for it.
Maybe he was a little soft...
(Sorry, Blaise, couldn't resist.)
