Since I'm more or less finished working on my Tau and Slaanesh armies, I've decided I'd like to build another army. Thing is, I don't really want to buy a whole lot of stuff. I have a 32 tactical marines from a tradesitting in my bits box, but I'm not really enthusiastic about starting another Loyalist army.
After much thought, I've decided to build a renegade company using the Deathguard rules. Just to make things interesting, I'm using the new dryad models as plaguebearers, and ditching the Nurgle backround in favor of a strike force that was infested by a parasitic plant.
I've come up with list variants for each of the major point intervals and I have the color scheme, parts list, and Counts-as chart worked out. The army itself only needs three boxed sets and some bits, along with the stuff I already have.

It seems like everyone uses bloodthirster, but can't blame em...he is very powerful and looks cool to top it off. If I did play a chaos army though I would definately use the Lord of Change, in my book Initative is what really matters, and its got a six. Also I don't know why but I really like the model...always though it looked cool. Actually slanees is really cool looking as well...but mr.unclean...I hate mr. unclean.

I would like to ask my fellow Chaos friends how many Space Marine armies you have converted to the side of Chaos, be it by word alone, or pounding their pathetic army into dust. twisted I so far have converted... 3 Space Marine players to the side of Chaos. In fact, I once had 4 friends that played marines, and now only one remains... I am hard at work on him.
For Space Marines are just humans, and all humans have the same weakness, Power. And Chaos can give it to you... (Side effect may include, but are not limited to, an extra limb, more eyes, eye irritation, hallucinations, bad coughs, warts, heart problems, liver damage, brain damage, and in extreme cases, deaths have occured) (Plus, who can resist the Obliterators?)

Okay, I just got my chaos codex today, and i'm planning my Daemon Prince of Nurgle. According to the book, it states I can have one two-handed weapon, and one One-handed weapon. If this is true, would this apply to the great weapon, which states it is two-handed? My current plan is: Mark of Nurgle Nurgle's Rot Daemonic Flight Daemonic Stature Dread Axe Daemonic Essence
With all of this, I become a fearless monstrous creature that doesn't allow any kind of save, with a 5+ invulnerable , +2 to Toughness, always wound on a 4+ or better, and wound nearby targets due to decay. If I could also take the Great Weapon, it'd be a deadly strength boost. Is it legal?

I would recomend maybe taking a Plague sword, just because, if you read it, it says WOUND a model, they die outright on a 4+. This makes up for them getting that Inv. If you were under any other mark other than Khorne, i would say Dreadaxe, but Nurgle gets a Plaguesword. AND! You wont have to worry about Demonic Mastery.

OMG! *Hits head on desk* Oh well, always mess those two up. They are very similar to my eyes. I never take it really, the 15 points for another wound never seems to help me, i would rather have another Marine.

Then drop essence, take Demonic Rune. And yes, you would sneeze and kill him. I think Hqs are usually a waste of points. And most people expect my lord to be a beast. So its funny when they all concentrate on him. Then, I mass Marines, lots and lots of Marines. I strategically take out things, while maneuvering my army so that I can position yours in a strangle hold, from there I assualt up close, finishing whats left. My Lord varies in fights with people. With the new Hidden List rule, people never know if hes going to be a beast from the warp, or a weak loser.

Essentially, anything that isn't a guard army, won't threaten it too much.
