((I know XP, I just thought it was silly.))

Adencia frowned a bit and looked to the ground, nodding slightly. She wanted to know a little more but that had to wait.

"Alright," the elf sighed, "I have to go. I'll be back in about a half an hour and we'll go to the ship. I'f I'm not back within that time then . . . go to the ship and tell Regner, he'll come get me."

Adencia made that statement as a 'just in case' factor. She was going to be carrying a dead body and laying it to rest somewhere. If she were to run into someone then there'd be hell to pay. God forbid a member of the family who'd hired the assassin see her, then she'd be in more trouble.

The elf left the room and went to the kitchen, grimacing as she saw the body still on the floor. Time to do the dirty work. She lifted the dead man with much trouble because he was much larger than she. Then slowly and painstakingly she carried him out the back door, the scent of blood agitating her senses. She kept to the shadows and moved carefuly. No one was up this early but she was being as careful as possible.

Finally she came to very dark and shady place where there was a small ditch covered by shrubs. It wasn't a very honorable place to put him but she did what she could. The man may have been an assassin but she would never disrespect the dead. Soon Adencia had him laid to rest and hidden and stayed in the shadowed place to catch her breath. Looking down she frowned at the blood staining her clothes. Now she'd really have to be caredful turning back.

((Wow you guys are slow sweatdrop I'm waiting to jump back in... when you get to your ship! I'm back and I want to bring Aranai back. Just so you know. So get your butts in gear! I know you guys are out there! How many of you are back in school now?))

((Well I am, but I don't know about anyone else. This thread typically moves pretty slow, sorry sweatdrop .))

((Also back in school. Thorn and Tanyeera's presence have been lacking, and apparently Adencia's schedule doesn't coordinate well with my own. Excuse me for referencing strictly to IC names, but I find it more suiting.))

((Sorry about that, 'fraid I'm not really sure of what to post. I was planning on re-appearing when the group starts to go back... but for now, I really have no idea what to do. Wait, we are talking about Teltayten right? If its Seraphim, I haven't posted there in a while mostly coz I was waiting for Memory Melancholy's reply.))

((No, I wasn't talk about Seraphim... Hey Je suis? Do you wanna maybe jump ahead a tad to the ship, because it looks like there's not much else to do before then. Then I can jump in!))

((Sure thing. Hope you don't mind me kinda dragin you along Cerdik ;] ))

Adencia made it back to the house quickly and without incident. Once there she didn't go straight back to Cerdik but finished the rest of the dirty work, which would be the large pool of blood on the floor and her own clothes. Once that was finished and done away with she gathered what she needed and went for Cerdik.

On her way out she remembered Meena. Taking the horse from the stable she took off her harness and let her go. Hopefuly one of the vilagers would find her and keep her. They then made their way to the ship quickly and quietly. Luckily it wasn't too far away. Regner saw them coming up and gave a short wave.

"How much longer untill we're underway?" Adencia asked.

"About an hour." he answered, "So did you take care of . . . things?"

"Yes." the elf answered grimly.

Tanyeera followed Adencia and Cerdik to the ship, her face blank though she kept a sharp lookout for any suspicious looking villagers... the last thing they needed right now was an angry mob or another assassin on their tail. There were some folk out and about, but they were occupied with their own affairs and spared the group no more than a passing glance. Nonetheless, Tanyeera was relieved when Regner came up. An hour was not too short... the sooner they were away from the place, the better Tanyeera would feel.

Cerdik waited in silence while Adencia, the generous Adencia, went to clean up the mess he had helped make. Well, sort of... right? He had been the one to leave Kato without any option but suicide. He was dead as soon as Cerdik had trapped him...

For what did you bereave yourself of life and soul? For those ungodly monks? Surely not... I never believed you to be of such foul mind... Was I wrong?

He sighed, and looked up seeing movement. Adencia had returned without a word. Nodding, he followed complacently. The silence was quite comfortable despite what Cerdik had initially anticipated. When they arrived at Regner and Kyna's ship, Cerdik shuffled ahead of Adencia and put himself out of everyone's way.

He seemed to have a bad habit of putting himself in harm's way and leaving everyone else to pick up the pieces. He thought of silently vowing to himself that it would never happen again, but no matter how he thought of the matter, the mage could not convince himself that it was truth...

So, with remorseful sigh, he watched as everyone went about their ways, and held himself tightly, a hand clutching the satchel that had never left his side.

((K, so we're going to pretend some things now. Like, that Aranai parted with them before the forest, and didn't say when she would meet up with them again, but that she would try. She yeah, pretend that for me. Thanks. =P I should have been smarter about leaving, and atleast posted an exit back then. Sorry about that, I realize now that I left an unresolved mess behind me. ))

It had been... how many days since she'd parted with the group? Three days? It seemed so, but the lines were a little fuzzy in her head. She'd been thinking hard those days, and knew something had to be done about... well, this whole firebird ordeal. If she couldn't find a way to get it under control, there really was no way she could join them... on the way to rid herself of the curse or not, she would be endangering all their lives.

Aranai fingered the fine metal necklace that now hung around her neck. It was impressive, in it's way, with decorative engravings added only as an after thought. It was it's use that interested her more, though, with tailor-made magicks to give her control of her transformation. It had only been finished today, though, having taken all of 48 hours in a row to complete. The sorcerer who had created the thing for her had been desperately weary, but left with his hands overflowing with fine pearls. It was sufficient. She hadn't tested it yet, but could feel the magicks coursing through it, giving her a faint hope.

Now she was hurriedly wandering the harbor of Kendica, hoping beyond hope that maybe she could join them after all. She had thought to buy herself new clothes and an extra change - dressed now in pants and long, rather baggy brown shirt. She had a long buttoned jacket aswell, looking more like a confident traveler than a grubby forest-dwelling hermit woman. The cold wouldn't harm her, but she had picked up a large fur blanket, now stuffed into an overflowing bag at her back. When her eyes spied Adencia and Tanyeera her heart leapt inside of her and she hurried her pace. When she saw Cerdik, standing discreetly to the side, she broke into a run, letting the overstuffed bag fall to the ground.

"Adencia, Tanyeera! Cerdik!" she yelled as she came to them, feeling more joy than she thought she ever would.

Next thing she knew, she was wrapping Cerdik in a great hug, nearly weeping with relief.

"I thought I wouldn't find you in time!"

((Don't worry, we got your back ;] ))

"Aranai, you're back!" Adencia exclaimed, smiling as the girl hugged Cerdik.

Regner looked on in confusion, scratching his head. Adencia saw this and went aboard the ship to explain in secrecy in the event that viligaers would catch the conversation. "Regner, this is Aranai. She began this journey with us and not but a few days ago she went to seek a way to controll her curse so she could stay with us. She said she would catch up with us once she found a way. I must admit it took less time than I'd thought."

Regner nodded and called for everyone to board the ship. They needed to get what few things left in order then head off. Adencia looked around at the crew worriedly.

"Regner . . ." she whispered, "Your crew . . . dop they know . . .?"

"Yes." he answered, "They themselves have had family members who were among the cursed. They have unfortunately passed away due to . . . terrible situations. As soon as you left all that time ago I focused on keeping relations with those who were somewhat in my situation. They all are very willing to help you. Just be careful with what you ask them, many of them are still sore about losing their kin."

"It is good to see you again Aranai." Tanyeera's tone was reserved, yet she was expressing as much joy as she could at the moment. She noticed the charmed necklace the other girl wore and peered at it intently. "Interesting..." she murmured. One hand unconsciously went up to finger the collar of gold around her own neck, that which helped her contain her demon and which was currently hidden by her turtleneck. As she touched cloth, she became aware of that hand and quickly put it back down. Still, she continued to peer at Aranai's necklace, trying to work out the many complexities in its spells.
