Yea, but Crush isn't a dark side power.
It was used by one of the jedi kids to kill an animal that was trying to eat them. I'll look it up later, but its neutral.
Its just that Vader made it so popular in "choke" form. Hence why it really shoudl be called grip.

Hmm... In my copy of the Star Wars Paper RPG, there's no crush power, and Force Grip is a Dark Side Power.

But its not inherently dark.
That's the problem. It can be used in a practical application for jedi purposes, its just that often times there are better alternatives.
The Sith have a harmful application, but its only because they are sith does it actually ahve a dark connotation.
Crush could be used in a good manner, such as a heimlich or something. But simply never utilized that way.

Just be happy that it has a name, instead of being forced to use something dumb like 'spike launcher.'

Eh. Its just like my friend saying that Quake IV and Doom III were so hard.
I remember, he took thirty minutes shooting this boss. It took me two rockets and ten seconds to defeat him.

Well, the boss had this little circle above his head.
My friend never shot at it. He shot the boss instead. I was like "So hard, huh?"
Then, when we played doom II on the Xbox, it was funny. He discovered radar mode, and I was getting annoyed.
Steve: Hey, I see you running. Me: Hey, do you see me shooting?
Right then I PKed him. It was hilarious at the time.
