"What happend to your mother?" Kuro asked quietly. She had been wondering for awhile, and he had never really given her a direct answer.
"I understand if you don't want to tell me, I'm just curious." She cocked her head to the side, her eyes locked with his, her gaze questioning.

Irvine rolled onto his back and stared up at the ceiling. He went quiet for several minutes. He sighed finally and closed his eyes. He spoke quietly. It was barely audible but he knew Kuro could make it out.
"I grew up without my mother....She had been a sorceress and a powerful one at that. She had also never been there for me; however I owe just about everything to her. Awhile back Xol and I weren't to friendly towards each other. We fought. Sadly I lost and was thrown into the Abyss. Hell claimed my soul and I was sent to the 8 Level of Hell. There I was crusified and beaten by demons....Oh how those demons had sick humor...they'd take on the forms of friends and family as they tore my flesh from my bones with they're biting whips. I'd die every day only to be reborn the next morning to relive the pain. My mother sensed my descension into Hell and knew what had to be done. So she traded her soul for mine. She took her life in order to bring me back....She left me Requiem and gave me these powers of hers. I was left unaware of the power she left me that is until Lucifer tried to retake powers that I had gotten from a pact I had made with him. Her magic protected me. And even today she guides me..."
He rolled back onto his side to face her, opening his eyes as he did. He winked at her with a soft smile spreading across his face.

Kuro blinked slightly after he had finish. How would you respond to something like that? After a moment she smiled sadly, then got up.
She crawled back into the bed, situating herself in his arms.
"I have to go back tomorrow, I have to go and reclaim my things, but for now, I'll just stay here." She snuggled closer and sighed.
OOC: sorry for the radio silence, I just got the chance to post this! xp been busy, trying to get a job, some art commissions and also that oh so lovely research paper, so I ttyl!! sweatdrop

Irvine wrapped his arms around her waist. He hugged her tightly. It was as if he were afraid to let her go. And he was. He afraid that if he let go she would leave him forever. Irvine squeezed her. He inhaled deeply, taking in her scent. He closed his eyes and reflected for a moment. After the long winter and cold, Irvine Gray had finally found love.
"Kuro...I love you...I don't know if you knew but I really do. You...you brought me back...I finally feel good again. I've never had feelings like this before....You...You are my hope for a better future. And love needs hope to survive...Hope....Its what guides me. Its what gets me through the day and especially the night....the hope that after you are gone from my sight it will not be the last time I look upon you. I don't ever want to let you go..."
He kissed her cheek and snuggled close to her. He nuzzled her neck and just held her close to his chest.
OOC:Ah...well sorry Love. I understand though. Well, I'll see ya later.

Kuro woke with a jolt, her heart beating quickly, so fast that she was sure it would pop out of her chest. She looked to Irvine whom seemed to still be sleeping soundly.
She felt something was wrong, something did not feel right. She yanked off the covers and headed towards the door, the tattoo on her neck was glowing sharply in contrast to the darkness and she could feel a burning on her skin.
Her pace quickened, she needed to find out what was wrong.

Irvine felt movement beside him. He began to stir. His silver and gold eyes blinked in the dreary darkness. He yawned and looked around. He saw Kuro standing by the door and somthing glowing on her neck. He yawned again and sat up.
"Somthin the matter love?"
He spoke with half closed eyes. He rubbed them and opened them abit more. They adjusted quite nicely to the dark. He yawned once more and began to stretch as he waited for a reply.

"I. . .I. . .uh," Kuro glanced around trying to think up a good lie, for some reason she did not want to alert Irvine to her sudden uneasiness, she was sure that it was nothing, but something in the back of her head told her otherwise.
Yet, she did not want to lie to him either.
She glanced at him with fearful eyes, then bolted from the doorway, towards the exit of the keep.

Irvine moved towards her as she bolted towards the door. He had hardly made it two feet when everything suddenly slowed. Irvine's back seared with pain. Irvine's eyes widened. He fell to the ground. He felt like he would keep falling had the floor not suddenly slammed into him. After several minutes he was able to pull himself up and onto his knee. One hand was on the floor while the other clutched his throat. He felt somthing there. Somthing grasp him. Cold air washed over him. Suddenly a dark and cloaked figure glided into the room. Irvine was lifted off the ground and was now hanging in the air. Before Irvine could blink a hand was at his throat. The tightness around his throat just got tighter. Irvine managed to choke out one word with the hand around his throat.
"..Lu...ci...fer...."
"Ah...Mr. Gray. I've come to collect whats mine."
"...Burn...in.......hell..."
Irvine let out a long rasp of air as his throat was constricted more. His eyes began to roll into the back of his head as his hands clutched at Lucifer's arm. His arm burned, but not with fire. With ice. His skin was freezing to the touch. Nevertheless Irvine grasped at his arm and kicked his feet at the air, trying desperately to break free of the grasp. A hoarse yet sinister laugh echoed from beneath the cloak.
"Hahahaha....How amusing. Still as rebellious as ever I see. But a deal is a deal. You owe me your soul...
Irvine let out another hoarse cough. Lucifer released his grasp and Irvine dropped to the floor. Irvine fell to the floor coughing and sputtering, gasping for air greedily. Lucifer remained over him. When Irvine was finally able to breath normally he spoke.
"I can't let you have my soul..."
"Excuse me? Did you speak? A deal is a deal Gray. You signed your soul to me. The contract said that I could collect whenever I felt like I wanted to. And right now I want it. I've found away past Mommy dearest's spell. And now I'm collectin."
"I can't let you have it...I have somthing to live for now...I have someone...The stakes have changed. I need my soul. But I do have somthing that may intrest you...."
"What do you have that could possibly intrest me? Save your soul ofcourse. I have alot've demons downstairs that you sent to me. And they can't wait to greet you."
"I'll give you Nightmare. Nightmare for my soul. I keep the power you gave me and you don't bother me ever again."
There was silence for a few moments. Irvine was there on all fours, rubbing his neck. He felt like both of his lungs had collapsed. Irvine sat up and leaned his back up against the bed. Finally Lucifer spoke.
"You actually do have somthing that intrests me Gray. And your proposistion isn't half bad either. You have yourself a deal. Sides, your soul will be mine eventually so I have nothing to lose. You on the other hand...."
Irvine knew that if there was a face under that hood that it was smirking. He slolwly got to his feet. He began to unbutton his shirt. Do to people constantly trying to steal Nightmare he had to hide it. What better place to hide it than inside Irvine himself. He removed his shirt and threw it onto the bed. He clenched his hands into fists and ground his teeth together. A black cross formed across his chest and down to the waist of his pants. Irvine used his energies and began to force the crossblade out of his chest. It was a very painful process. Irvine made small grunts of effort as well as small cries of pain. Finally he made one final effort.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!"
There was a flash of light and Irvine toppled backwards onto the bed. The large black cross stood before the two. Irvine was breathing harder then ever. He leaned his back against the bed and looked up at the ceiling. He spoke to Lucifer as he did.
"You have what you want now leave."
Irvine looked towards Lucifer only to see air. He was gone. Irvine clutched his chest and took long slow breaths. He tried to sit up only to find himself to weak.He continued to breath slowly. He uttered one word as he began to slip into a state of unconsciousness.
"Kuro....."

A blinding white flash filled the room, when it dimmed Kuro and some unamed stranger appeared. He was obviously a wolf-demon and bared a remarkable resemblence to slayer. The strangers eyes stared at Irvine with something akin to anger, but also a slight sense of thankfulness.
Kuro gasped when she saw him and the stranger could feel the evil that was produced from the room.
"We must get him out of here." The strangers said calmly.
Kuro at the time when Obake was surveying the room had managed to get to Irvines side, her hand reaching for his. She caught the strangers words and gave him a nod.
The stranger stepped forward and manage to hoist Irvine up and over his shoulder.
"Lead the way." Kuro gave him a nod and headed for the exit of the keep.

When they reached the exit the one that had been carrying Irvine set him down onto the grass. Kuro went to healing Irvine's wounds as the stranger watched quietly.
It was all he could do to not rip Kuro away from this man that had gathered an interest in his mate.
Kuro placed a hand to Irvine chest, mumble a few words, a bright flash filled the air.

Irvine's eyelids fluttered open. His silver and gold eyes peered up into Kuro's. He thought it was a dream. He suddenly sat bolt upright rememebering what had happened. His breathing sped up and he quickly looked around for Lucifer. He caught no sight of the Devil but he did catch hold of a man adorned with a large cloak, covering his entire body. Irvine peered into the man's eyes. They told him everything he needed to know.
"Obake..."
Irvine was confused. However he couldn't break his gaze from the man. He feared to look at Kuro. He knew what would happen now.

"Irvine. . ."Kuro started, but Obake shook his head.
He held his hand out to Irvine.
"I thankyou for taking care of her, she is all I have in this world and the next." Obake's eyes narrowed. "I know how you must be feeling, because I probably had the same emotions running through me as you do now for 6 months." A coldness came to Obake's eyes.
"I would be lying if I said at times I didn't want to kill you." Kuro gave Obake a venemous look that plainly said to not open his smartass mouth any longer. ". . .but I would also be lying if I was not grateful for all that you have done."
"I died for her, I know you would do the same, you have sacrificed much to be with her." The ex-wolf demon prince sighed mentally. "I will leave you two to talk, but I will return."
He looked to Kuro, a warmth coming to his eyes, before a cold mask once again moving into place. He turned and headed into the forest, leaving Kuro and Irvine alone.

Sakkau Kage ...known as Mr. Extype in some dimensions... decided to partake in some research in these ruins in the hopeful finding of some beneficial technology. He entered directly into the ruins using his special tech known as Dimension jump. At the insertion point he was attacked by two Spirts of the Ruin. He doged their first attack and countered with Dimension Strike which shot a grandiose ball towards the spirts and easily overkilled the
spirts. This was to be only one of the many perilous tasks that the Shadow Illusion extype would undertake. He quickly concluded after scanning the ruins that he would need more experience and more party members before coming here again. He quickly used his Dimesional jump to return directly to his company. He brodcast a employee request for Extype Co. This can be found under Extype Company Recruit post in the Black Company HQ.

I used a special 21st 4th time-spacial dimesion trick. This allowed me to easily slip past the defenses of this cave by jumping into 4th/5th temporal cross-space and reinsert myself directly into the cave since no dimensional barrier existed. The overkill is a hyperbole I fully understand the rules of rp'ing.
