Woo! Concert tomorrow :3 Very excited.

In other news: New album's out! Any opinions?

Thought One: Damn, I love Grief.
Thought Two: Damn, I love the PV.
Thought Three: TMOAB resembles Vulgar.
Thought Four: It is truly a boss album.

Grief is all right...not a fave, but its not too bad either.

I can see where the resemblence to Vulgar lies, but I think Vulgar overall was a more entertaining, fun album.

My overall verdict: TMOAB is better than Withering to Death.
It's not as captivating as I had hoped, but there are some interesting tracks on there.
Passable.
Agitated Scream of Maggots is still awful -_-; though its vaguely more tolerable on the album...did they change it up a little?

I know they re-recorded Ryojouku no Ame and Clever Sleazoid. But I dunno about ASoM.

:3 and I was at the concert in NY, you can see my review at my LJ which is linked through my profile.

Its uh...very opinionated, so if you can't stomach that kind of thing, take this as fair warning.

But overall...I LOVED LOVED LOVED the concert.

That's one thing crossed off my Life's To Do List.

See Dir en grey live...ahh...I'm in a beautiful zen state right now.

OMG.
I think "The marrow of a bone" Is a ******** good album! I love it! I was desespered when I listened to "Agited screams and maggots" I really dislike this one. But the other songs are so beautiful that I want them to come back in France. <333

The Diru boys are so sweet, and their translator Nora is so nice too. >w< I wish I could have hugged them all and thanked them for the amazing concert monday but asking for hugs was strictly forbidden. Shinya....has the slightest little lisp that's so faint you have to be really listening to catch it. And Die giggles. o.o;

Yeah. Only the first 20 people to buy the cd got to meet them and me and some friends rushed the lady like none other to get our cds and wrist bands. ^^; Other people in line had NO idea why people in the front were squealing and jumping around. XD;;

-envious of the dog tag- I wanted a dog tag so bad but they didn't have them at the Dallas show. I've been searching for one on the net like crazy since tuesday night. DX

I saw them in Minneapolis, MN on Valentine's Day. Best Valentine's Day EVER.

They're amazing. If you get the chance. SEE THEM. I licked Shinya's sweat off of his drumstick my friend caught, and Toshiya spit on my face after he took a drink of water. ^^

Oof, all you youngin's are so enthusiastic ^_^;;

I didn't have the desire to wade through a pitfull of hysterical 14 year old girls to get to the front...should I have? I didn't want to have to smack a b***h if they got too pushy, you know?

I didn't even buy any merch...the venue was just pretty bad in general, I dont want to go back there again if I didn't have to.
The hall itself was great, great lights, phenomenal sound, not too big, but accomadating for the amount of people that were there.
But the venue in general was inefficiently and superficially designed (though the bathrooms were great XD no lines! Clean! At a concert...what is this!), the staff snippy and uptight. By the time we got into the venue we were exhausted, freezing and fed up with all the pretention swimming around us.

And by the time it all ended, we wanted to go home ^_^;

Not to say it wasn't a good concert...it was transcendent...I knew I had to do it once in my life (I swore that to myself years ago when I was still a good little fan), and I did and I don't regret it and I'd do it again...but DAYUM I'm too old to throw myself into the shennanigans of fandom anymore...

PostPosted: Tue Mar 06, 2007 8:51 pm

Grinnie was going to go see Diru at the wiltern on the 23rd, but I heard Agitated Screams 'o' maggots and was appalled.
So I didn't go.
My friend Izzi nearly killed me when I told her I wasn't going. ^^;
She wanted Shinya's autograph so bad.
aheheheh.
I still have my tickets.
And now they're just sitting in the back of my drawing binder. ^^;
(Why do I suddenly feel guilty for not going?O_o)
