He was thrown back from the recoil of the cannonfire, landing on his back as he skidded in the dirt, his sword clattering on the rocks beside him.Too much gunpowder. He slowly got up to his feet, picking up his sword, and walked cautiously to his cousin to survey the damage.
Kick.
Kick.
Sssssss....
No movement, and that smoking hole in the kid's chest looked pretty...real, along with the organs leaking from his stomach.
"Hmph."
Then he did something any family would do...sheathed his sword, stooped down and picked his cousin up, and slung the kid over his shoulders even as the dark-haired boy bled out. Because sans all the "trouble-making", or the raping and pillaging and killing...he really was just a messed-up kid who didn't know how to handle responsibility.
His brows furled as he turned toward the colosseum. All those people.... It'd be an interesting sight as he approached, walked in, carrying the battered Cash, smeared in both his own blood, that of his cousin's, and don't forget the dogmen he had stayed up all night hacking away at.

Picking up on where he left off, Snow was taken care of by a man named Raphael. After having his arm severed and then replaced afterwards through Raphael's Alchemy abilities, Snow wasn't exactly up to speed with honing his personal skills, since that he was seriously pwned by Vercellius about one or two weeks ago.
That meant that Snow shouldn't push his body to the limit, or else repeat the same mistake that he did when he fought against Vercellius. But fortunately, there is some skills that Vercellius had which Snow can take into account, as well as adapt some maneuvers into his own skills....
But he'll leave that unsolved dispute later. For now, he's sitting near the stadium walls and looking up sightlessly at the passing clouds, a sigh breathed out of his lips.

"Grrraahh!!"
A man appeared outside, running rather quickly. He was supposed to have come in with Julius, as he had spoke to him of the tournament, but his master caused his delay with another senseless task. Or at least, HE thought it was senseless. Particularly when he could finally prove himself to the others, being the first of his kind to ever fight in any tournament.
Once he got to the enterance, he dusted off the "material" that had stuck to his armor. He knew it hadn't been tested, yet he needed something to fight him. Even a fighter of his composure could not last without heavy armor.
He then waited for Julius, not knowing that Mr. Benedict was tied up at the moment.

"....?"
Snow quirked his eyebrow to the new arrival, his hood hiding most of his own appearance to the stranger. Having one leg hunched up and with his newly repaired arm hugging the base of it, he glanced over at the stranger's appearance, observing only for a moment before --
"You late or something?" He questioned, tucking his hood further down with his other hand in habit.

"Very...my ma...er, boss made me do some work before I left. Julius left a day ahead of me, and should have arrived yesterday...GRAHH!"
The man had a very short fuse, just like his master. One wrong move now, and one would become his servant.
"Anyway...have you seen a man named Julius around here?! QUICKLY!"

"What's yer problem? It's not like your boss would kill you just because you're late a day or so..." Snow mumbled, getting up and brushing some grass off of his pants. Looking at the man with a queer look, he shrugged.
"I don't know any Julius around here. Even more less with the people's name, since most of them come here to fight and kill. That is, if you're looking for one." Snow answered back this time, giving some light stretches and warm-ups to ease his still slightly stiff right arm.

"Kids like you wouldn't know what a boss like mine would do to one. If I didn't get the work done, I'd have been finished. Oh, CURSE HIM!" His name could not be mentioned, as his master would be able to hear it, and would punish him dearly for speaking his name in anger.
Turning around, the man would see Snow stretching out, as if ready to fight. "Kid...are you trying to pick a fight with me? I wouldn't advise it..."

"What, are you saying that you want a fight?" He lazily responded, looking at the man in a blank, tired stare. He reached inside his long robe sleeves to withdraw a simple flute, then pointing it with his left at the man in mock accusation.
"Like I said--"
The flute wavered in his hand, a light breeze causing it to whistle an occasional tune or so from its wooden design.
"People come here to either fight, talk, or do whatever nonsense they want to do. There's a bar over yonder near the Northern sector, but I've never went there before since it's usually jammed packed with people and loud noises. What is your business here, if I may ask, Mister.........?"
He left the sentence open, waiting for the man to fill in the blank question.

Kai had, after a while of wandering, found Baylu's room. He rapped on the door heavily. "Baylu, we finished building the Ba-- Arggh!" Kai fell over onto his knees as pain flooded his entire being. He collapsed onto the ground just as a red orb of energy flew from his head into the ground.

"My bu-" He was cut off. He would close his mouth for a second, and then it would open up again. But it would not be his voice.
"OUR business here is to prove to your mortals that you shouldn't mess with your creators! We're going to show you what happens when one messes with fi-"
"SHUT UP!" His voice returned to normal. "I TOLD YOU that if you spoke that things could happen...now silence!" The man would hold his head as he said this, then letting it go.
"Listen Kid, I have no time for this. And your inquisition is REALLY starting to piss me off..."

After Kai had asked Atreyu to use a nice tone, the Lt. had gone searching for Baylu on his own. Instead of searching aimlessly, Lt. Jrint had stuck to the shadows and watched Kai as they completed the building of the bar.
Following him through the streets to the housing district, he saw him enter the temporary home of Miss Baylu. Watching the odd display Kai acted out, Atreyu jumped into a defensive stand. "Captain! It must be attack! Stay back and don't touch him!" He called through the door. Watching the ground nervously, Atreyu readied himself for an attack.

"After you. Should I be offended at that last -- "
He paused, his eyebrow raised quizzically at the man.
"Remark? Aren't you a mortal as well, or am I wrong in guessing who you are?"
Snow wasn't particularly fond of people mocking at him, but that didn't mean he'll fight the mocker immediately.
Of course, unless someone really irks his senses to the extreme.

"SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!!"
Once calm, the man carefully observed Snow, looking carefully at his appearance. Then, he pulled out a piece of ordinary twine and pointed it at Snow. Once the twine started to glow, he put it to his right eye, and proceeded to "read" it.
"Ah yes...your name would be Snow...not much other info on you..." The man would then toss the string into the air and clasp his left hand, making it vanish.
"Now...you need to go along, boy. Unless you know where Julius is, you're wasting my time..."

Baylu had just happened to be getting out of the shower after a nice nap. She had a white towel wrapped around her body and another in her hand drying off her long black hair. Upon hearing a loud knock on her door, she headed towards it ready to open the handle. Then suddenly, she heard someone collapse and then the loud voice of Atreyu. Sighing heavily, she opened the door to find Kai laying on the ground with the Lt. standing over his body looking this way and that in agitation. Immediately, she kneeled down to Kai, letting the second towel lay on her head. She had not seen the orb, nor anything else that had happened. "Kai?" she said staring down at him as she check his pulse. "Lt! What happened here?"

"Tch. That'll be a good thing to know." Snow murmured, twirling the flute a couple times with his left in boredom. He didn't like the attitude of this man, but whatever the reasons, they never agreed directly on a fight.
Besides, he was bored enough to do so, and an opponent would fare well for his own need to practice too, so...
"And you're obviously lost around here, with no idea where your 'boss' is, as well as how to explain to him why you're late to meet him. Is that right? If so, then you're practically wasting your time in the first place if you came to the stadium to look for someone, as well as talking to me about the whereabouts of this "Julius" or...whatever his last name is."
Snow literally summed up the entire problem in a few sentences or so.
"And are you older than me, or am I younger than you?" He pressed, suddenly halting the flute and making a gesture as if taking aim with the flute at the man himself.
