Hello. I guess I'm kind of new to Phantom. I've loved it sense July, when I rented the movie. Funny story actually. I rented it because there was nothing good at Blockbuster, I kind of remember it becuase it on stage once on a field trip. However, the show was retarded, there was a lack of a Raoul, a Meg, or romance of any kind. I Sensed there must have been SOMETHING going on between the Phantom and Christine, so I looked it up on the internet to read the whole story. I was so sad by the end. I was in love with the Phantom, and hated Raoul. After awhile though, my interest faded as I had no means to hear the music. Then I the previews of the movie, went, "oh cool, I should see that" but never did. Then I rented it. I didn't fall into the deep pit just of love I have for it just yet. It was summer, so I was bored and kept on watching it, it was rewatchable afterall. THEN I started really loving it. My mom brought it home(She gets free movies sometimes), so I watched it MORE. It became like crack(note: I didn't realize right away how attractive the people were, when I went online people were talking about how hot everyone was, and I was like "what?" when I watched it again I went "Hmm, they're right!"). And I have now watched it 33 times. I have four different versions, the Canadian, happens to be my favorite. My least favorite is the Claire moore version, but I still love it. I saw the show with Gary Mauer on Oct 12, I also read the book, and I highly intend on read the susan Kaye book. Well, that was a brief history of my love of Phantom. Hard to believe it's only been about four months.

My name is David Huynh, a real music and art freak. I just went out one day in May and bought the Phantom of the Opera dvd at my local Blockbuster. I instantly fell in love with the music and I've done a lot with it. I performed Point of No Return on stage for a show with a good friend of mine, I've dressed at the Phantom during a Masquerade (and got kicked out because of it), and I've learned every song. I love the Phantom's voice and Christine's obvious vocal talent. But Raoul just...had nothing when it came to singing. From my experience...I could say they should have chosen someone who could find the pitch and have a stronger tone qaulity. Meh...no more ramblings. That's how my interest was sparked and how I followed up so far.

Average phan-girl, although I cannot say I've been a fan forever, or that I own everything to do with it, or that I named my pets/children after the characters. What I can say is that I find the story to be a classic, wonderfully written tale. I'm not one of those nit-picky people who tore the movie apart because the phantom was too hot, or Emmy Rossum couldn't sing. I think it was all well done. I love Erik the most, but do not dislike Christine for leaving him for Raoul, and I also like Raoul. I guess I'm just agreeable with all the phantom stuff... Except for the phantom's red death mask. It makes him look like a beaver. I'm glad to be here. 3nodding

Bonjour, fellow phans!
Okay, so I don't own every peice of Phantom stuff ever made, nor have I memorized the script and all the songs and seen the original show(or even seen it on stage at ALL) but I will admit that Erik (as I beleive that's his name) is definitely squeal-worthy.
However, as it is entirely natural to love someone as awesome as the Phantom, I have very odd taste in men(Darth Vader is at the top of my sexy list) and enjoy bathing in strawberry-lime Jell-O.
Thankyew.

I'm Tulip, I'm almost seventeen... I have to say I despise Emmy Rossum (because she personally is really bitchy), I adore Gerard Butler because I think he is more expressive than Michael Crawford, I do not hate Raoul, in fact I think he is an interesting character (girly but interesting and amusing) and Carlotta needs to have her head skewered. I'm going to see PotO on Broadway one week from today (it's my birthday gift), and I'm working on my own film of Phantom, I'm only a few pages into the screenplay though. gonk My first experience with Phantom was talking on the phone with my girlfriend while she watched the movie and made commentary over the phone.
