Victor likewise had a bit of the boredom bug, he had borrowed some more reptile books from the entertainment room to look up information about what type of reptile he was supposed to be, the black and white tegu, but the knowlege about the reptile was anti-climatic and didn't really provide Victor any real comfort or satisfaction of learning about the lizard, and he had to return the books.
With the books cradled in his chest arms, it was a bit difficult to crawl to the entertainment room, having to set the books down as he stood up to lean against the door in order to get it open before grabbing the books and crawling inside, just nearly missing his tail getting hit by the door. With a sigh he crawled towards the bookshelf to try and stuff the books back in place, only then noticing the snoring penguin on the couch.
Victor was not sure if he should wake the boy up or not, but as he was trying to set the books on the shelf, the shelf suddenly shifted, and close to a dozen books tipped over noisily fell to the floor in a cluttered pile right in front of him

The sounds of silly dreams were cut off suddenly with an odd skittering sound reaching what remained of Marshall's ears. If he had his eyes open, he would have seen the deformed reptilian creature slithering towards the book cases. However, his eyes were closed, the only real sign that he heard any thing was the fact that he had rolled over onto his side. However, that was before the books came crashing down in front of Victor.
"Huh...?" he said groggily, looking up, his vision blurred from sleep.

Victor looked back over his shoulder at the waking Marshall, slowing trying to pick the fallen books up. "Sssorry if I woke you up, wasssn't intentional"
The lizardman said as he repositioned the shelf, placing each book back as his tail swished in back of him

"Huh?...Oh, ahts fahne, reahlly..." he said, forgetting his self-made enunciation techniques after just waking up. He let own a small yawn, finally opening his eyes. He looked over, greeted with...Some thing. Several pairs of legs and arms, what appeared to be two mouths, and a long, black and white scaled tail.
"Ah-AHH!" Marshall exclaimed, jumping to his feet and immediately backing up, not even sure what to say.

Victor immedately dropped the books that he had when it had become obvious that the penguin boy had started to freak out at seeing him.
"Sssettle down! Not gonna eat you or anything" the lizardman said as he crawled closer towards Marshall, his tail swishing behind him. "I jussst look a bit different, no need to ssscream or anything"

"Ba-ba-ba-BAHK OFF!" Marshall said, taking several more steps back, before falling over like any good victim in a monster movie. "STAH THE FUHCK AWAH!" Marshall cried, now crawling backwards away from the...monster.
Oh...Oh god...I'm going to die...This thing is going to kill me, I know it... Marshall's mind raced. In retrospect he probably would've noticed that the creature was speaking perfect English, and that it was reading a book. However, his penguin mind wasn't able to process that bit of information.

Back off? didn't the penguin kid understand that he wasn't going to try and eat him or hurt him? it was the incident with Gaius all over again, and it was horrible.
"Knock it off! sssee I don't want to hurt you!" Victor raised up his forelegs, and his chest arms, not moving closer towards Marshall for the moment.
"Jussst Relaxss and look away for a moment! look at the wall and lisssten to me, I'm not going to hurt you"

"STAH THE ******** AWAY!" Marshall yelled, scrambling to his feet, holding onto the couch. He wasn't sure why he was so scared, but he was. He felt like he was going to die. He was going to be buried up there, up the path that he was unlucky enough to see last Halloween.
He found himself backing towards the door, "I...I don't want to die...Please...D-Don't kill me..." he said. It didn't matter how Victor responded, he was going to run.

"You're not going to die!" Victor almost shouted, the kid's fear and responce to his appearance was much more than he expected, and started to crawl towards him and the door. Why did this kid think he was going to hurt him? was it because he was a reptile and he was a penguin or something, or jut becaused he looked like a monster Scary to the other guy. Last he read, Tegu didn't eat penguin. "Nobody is going to kill anyone" Victor said quietly as he slowly approached Marshall

"G-G-GO AWAY!" Marshall yelled, slamming himself into the door, forcing it open and running. He felt like he has never ran so fast in his life. Part of him felt a tinge of guilt, as he heard the thing actually talking to him. In a human voice.
Oh my god...I-It was human...IT WAS HUMAN...
Marshall continued running, running towards the safety of his duplex. Where he KNEW he wouldn't be attacked by a freak.
...That freak was a human...

Victor crawled over to the door and watched the Penguin guy run away with a frown on his face as he backed up and letting the door close, grumbing to himself as he moved back over to the couch and crawled onto it, but not before giving one of the fallen books a kick. what just happened certainly didn't put him in a good mood.
What a great way to meet someone.

New RP: Tommy and Lauren
Tommy had come back from the beach bar slightly tipsy, bordering on full-blown drunk. About half-way back, he had decided it would be a great night to watch a movie...maybe a horror? He was always up for a horror movie.
At the moment, he was sobering up while watching the rather light-hearted horror: Army of Darkness. He had an open blood packet in one wing, and the remote to the television grasped in a foot. He laughed as Ash did a perfect jump to attach the chainsaw onto his arm.

Lauren needed some inspiration on what exactly she was going to do for the television program so she headed over to the entertainment room to see if she could catch that from some movies that were in stock.
She was surprised to see the entertainment room occupied already, and an already awesome movie being watched by a rather strange and ugly looking mostly human islander, "Army of Darkness!! Kick a**!" Lauren said as she sat next to the islander. "Awesome choice in movies dude, can I join?"

Tommy almost spills his packet of blood as Lauren's exclamation assaulted his large ears. "Christ!" he said, laughing at his own fright, "You scared the everliving s**t outta me...But heheh...yeah, anyone who likes Army of Darkness is definately a friend of mine."
He grinned at the mongoose woman, idly wondering what was with the horns...maybe it was like a really weird version of a Jackalope. He mentally shrugged but held his grin, still loopy from the drinking a little while ago.

"I scared you? Hah!" Lauren exclaimed. "Oh sorry, I suppose you have like super hearing or something, I'll keep it down batman." She said apolegetically as she focused back onto the screen, propping her arms up on the couch and wrapping her arms around them.
