Hey. My names is Rachel, I'm 18 years old and British. I've always been pro-choice as I think people shouldn't tell women what to do with their body.

Plus I think no pro-lifer should judge anyone until faced with an unwanted pregnancy. They might end up changing their views.

My name is April (I'm 18 and American) ~waves~, and I"m prochoice because I believe that it is a woman's choice if she wants to have a baby or not...not the governments and not the religious sects. (Because abortions will be happening whether its legal or not. Legalization only determines the safety when getting an abortion.) I hate it when uptight old men say how wrong it is that women can have abortions, when they will never know what it is like to a) birth a child b) raise a child more likely by yourself and c) do it with no income. The women who have abortions are being more responsible then those who don't. Because to bring a child into this world is a huge responsiblity that should not be taken lightly. Think about how many orphanages around the world are over crowded, and stay that way until tthey turn 18 or legal enough to be out on their own. That just produces angry, unloved and unwanted children. And why do that? Plus if you don't give it up...your whole life will be a struggle to make ends meet. Don't even think about sending that kid to college. So anyway that is why I'm pro-choice...my rant goes on, but I'm cutting it short.

My name is Emily, but you can call me Em, Emily, Emo, Kitty, whatever you want, as long as it's not Emmy, hun, honey, sweetie, or anything like that. I hate when people call me those names.

I'm 13, but don't let my age fool you. I can think and discuss things maturely, but just don't ask my friends about that... I'm a crazy person when I get to know someone. Though, I am literate when the situation calls for it, and I can speak intellegently, mostly because I've been at the top of my class since pre-school, always getting straight A's and paying attention, because I was always afraid of getting embarassed in front of people.

I matured early, both in body and mind. I got my period when I was 10, and people mistook me for a 14 year old when I was 11, both by my appearance and the way I talked.

Enough about me. More about the abortion issue. I'm pro-choice for everything. Unlike most people around my age, I learned the basics of sex ed when I was 7, so I'm well-informed now, and I don't believe in the schools teaching abstinence-only sex ed.

I understand that contraceptives don't always work. My little sister was a broken condom baby, but my mom chose to keep her. She (my mom) is pro-choice, too. And my mom couldn't get her tubes tied until after she had my little sister, when she was about 33 years old, and widowed. Actually, my mom just got her uterus removed all together. My aunt didn't get that operation done until she had 5 kids.

I've been browsing around in the abortion debate for a while now (I'm a big fan, Talon-chan), and I'm around page 65. About the whole morning after pill argument, I agree that a lot of people don't know about that stuff. I didn't find out about it until I read a book on abortion a while ago, and it wasn't mentioned in any of the sex ed books I've read.

I believe that no one should tell me what to do with my body, and as far as I'm concerned, in the event that I'd get pregnant, the fetus, dependant on my body, is a part of my body that I don't want there. It's a clump of cells that can't think or feel in my body. It would be like a tooth I couldn't get out. I'd go to a dentist and have it pulled. The same goes for a fetus. I don't want it there, I get an abortion, especially if I get pregnant in the upcoming years. That would mess everything up.

It'd probably kill me, anyway. Either that, or I'd kill it. If I was forced to bear a child I didn't want to keep, and then look into its eyes after I gave birth to it, I wouldn't want to leave it. But then, I'd be a horrible parent. The first crying fit, and it'd probably get kicked, because I have... anger issues. And that's one of the many reasons why I don't want kids. Ever. That, and I just plain don't like babies.

In short, I'll give up my choice the day president Bush becomes pregnant. And the father is a rooster.

Wow, sorry for the long post. I do that when I introduce myself. Sorry. It's a habit.

Um, hello. I'm Gin, Nova, Gin-chan, Chippy, Fennet, or that crazy dragon chic. Don't ask about the last one, you would have had to be in most of the RPs I'm in to understand it better. I'm female (obviously, I hope) and turned seventeen recently. One more year before any abortions I might have won't be reported to my parents! Wait that came out wrong...sorry, wrong topic I think. I go off on tangents, my bad. sweatdrop

I'm generally a nice person until you royally piss me off, which takes a bit of work. Yes, I'll get mad occasionally but I rarely get well and truly angry. I tend to be a mediator in conflicts involving my friends, both IRL and on here, as well as being the group ear and shoulder most of the time. I'm a good listener to anyone that wants to talk and I do my absolute best not to judge anyone until I've heard the whole story, and even then I try not to.

Very few things make me truly upset quickly, but the surefire way to get me riled up is to lie to me. A little while lie to maybe cover something small up, or just flat out not telling me something you don't want me to know for personal reasons, is fine with me. But if you flat out lie to me about something, you will not like me at all.

I also have this odd habit when speaking of slipping into something similar to a southern accent, which is strange because the most time I've spent down there was being stuck at an airport in Texas for five hours while they tried to get the tiolet valve to shut. It was a great chance to read the second Harry Potter book though.

I thoroughly enjoy reading fanfics from various fandoms and roleplaying with various fictional universes. (If anyone wants to discuss any interesting Harry Potter non-canon couples, I'm always up for it.) If you look at any of my RP posts I tend to lean more toward the semi-literate side of things, though with the group I'm normally with I tend to keep things simpler.

Well that was a bit of a long tangent...anyway, back to the point of the post and my being here. I'm pro-choice because...well...it's my body and I'll do with it what I please. I can see both sides of the argument though, so I usually try not to get into the argument itself. I generally think that it should be regulated somehow, so people don't use it as just another form of birth control. I also think that parents should not be notified, or given the option of not allowing the girl to have the abortion, because there could be serious cases of incest or *shudder* possibly selling the girl out as some sort of surrogate mother for money.

EDIT:
@Em- I think I'm with you about Bush and the rooster. Though I'll give up my choice when all females in the U.S. that have started their periods vote on it and decide that abortions aren't right.

Also, is anyone besides me upset at the fact that a lot of this issue is aimed at girls under eighteen having children, but we're not allowed to have a say in it? It just makes me slaggin' twitchy.

Hey. I'm Denzyz, not really 'new' to Gaia but new to the PCG. w00t. I'm 16, 17 in a month, and have been pro-choice ever since I learned what an abortion was. Yayme. I believe that the life, wants, and needs of a person are worth more than those of a non-person, that we should value reality over potential, and that if I ever get pregnant my happy little a** is aborting.

I'm a fairly decent debator in the ADT, although I occasionally get my terminology confused.

Hey everyone, I'm Sam (17 tomorrow, from California USA) and I've been pro-choice for as long as I have known what choice is and I'm not afraid to let people know. I guess I'm to the far left of the pro-choice spectrum, meaning that i believe abortion is perfectly acceptable under any circumstance until the fetus can sustain life on its own. Be it rape or accident, a woman's body is still hers. Like many pro-choice people, i am also passionate about better sex education in schools because let's face it, many people get pregnant and require abortions because they weren't taught to use birth control methods properly. Ultimately, I'm for preventing unwanted pregnancies, thus eliminating the need for abortion.

Thank you for excepting me into this guild, and hello everyone!!
My name is Asia (Yes, really) I am 17 years old, and am pro-choice.
I believe that a womans body is her body to decide what to do with it. It takes a strong woman to make big decisions like abortion, and I believe in helping and supporting women as much as I can, if they want it. I stand strongly next to my beliefs.
I am not just another dumb teenager, though. I do know what I'm talking about. My parents are 2 very supportive people of free thinking and have never forced anything into my mind except for the usual, don't steal and don't do drugs. They have helped me very much to form into the person I am today, and I am thankful.

Hi, my name is Grace (obvious, right?)and I am pro choice. I'm 15 and I want women (hopefully not my age) to be able to have an abortion for what ever reason.
When I get out of high school I hope to go to California, because my aunt lives near a really good performing arts collage. I want to go there, so when I am ready, I can go to New York to perform on Broadway.

Bearer of Donuts here. I'm not unknown in the ED, but I just joined the PCG, so I'm technically new.

I know of a few people that know me in the ED, mostly because I re-released the Pro-Life Propaganda titled "The Diary of an Unborn Child" with a twist: it's awesome.

Speaking of which, I'll try to find that and post it here in the PCG. You might get a kick out of it.

Hiya! My name is Brittany and I'm a 18 year old self-proclamed feminist from North Carolina. I joined the guild, well, because I strongly believe in what it stands for. I'm pro-choice because I think that women should have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies... but I also don't exactly think that women should be able to get an abortion just because they simply don't want a baby in their life. I'm horrible at expressing my thoughts on something as serious as this so I'm sorry if that may be confusing.

I highly doubt I'll ever be in a situation where I would have to consiter getting an abortion (unless I'm raped or something..), but I still worry about the girls who have, are, or will have to deal with that decision. I think that they should at least have a choice, you know?

Uh, well. I'm ShadowIce, as you could undoubtedly tell. I'm new to the guild, but not to the debate. I'm a regular pro-choice debater in ED. I supported the Blue Daisy event last year and am doing so against this year, so I figured I probably ought to be a member of the guild. So here I am.

Hi everybody, I'm Duchess of Daisy, (Just call me Daisy). I'm Fourteen Years Old, a feminist, a Sophmore in High School (I skipped a year), and a Buddhist. I love writing, and I'm going to be starting an internship with Seventeen Magazine soon.
I often win most debates with Pro-Lifers because although I tend to rip their arguments to shreds, I do it in the most polite way possible, so its very hard to make personal attacks against me. smile
I've been to the Abortion Debate several times, and I've seen tons of intelligent Pro-Choicers there that belong to this guild, and I'd like to get to know them better.
