((yay! you're back!))
Jack had to fight not to panic when he heard the name again. He forcibly kicked a tree trunk and realized it had been a bad move only when his ankle began to throb painfully. Jack let out an exasperated sigh.
"No, it's impossible. It can't be Ethan. Someone out there is just messing with us," Jack argued.
He was trying to make sense of it all, unsuccessfully. The thought that Ethan might actually be alive and out there in the jungle somewhere scared him more than anything...

Boone shook his head abit and looked back towards the entrence. He really wanted to know what was going on, but he wasn't strong enough to go off and look for them. He yawned and looked around the caves.

"No, it's impossible. It can't be Ethan. Someone out there is just messing with us," Jack argued.
He was trying to make sense of it all, unsuccessfully. The thought that Ethan might actually be alive and out there in the jungle somewhere scared him more than anything... Charlie swallowed hard. He had killed this man. He had shot this man in the chest more than once. If he was alive, then . . . "I'm Ethan . . .please . . .if you're on the same island, tell me where you are so that I can come to you." Charlie got up, backing away from the radio. "Don't tell him." He replied. "He'll come and kill us all." Sayid stared. "But . . .what if this isn't OUR Ethan? What if its someone else?"

((sorry it took so long to post! I went out jogging... I'm back now!))

"I guess there's only one way to find out. We can't let him find the beach or the caves until we're sure, so let's have him meet us up here. It should be easy to find us, since we're about as high up as you can get on this island," Jack suggested.
He glanced around for consensus.

"I guess there's only one way to find out. We can't let him find the beach or the caves until we're sure, so let's have him meet us up here. It should be easy to find us, since we're about as high up as you can get on this island," Jack suggested.
He glanced around for consensus.Charlie was shaking his head. He feared for Claire, the baby, even himself. Ethan had killed HIM once as well. "I say it's a bad idea." Locke sighed. "I say we tell him where we are. Like Sayid said, it might not be our Ethan . . .for all we know it could be some helpless teenager." Sayid took that as a yes and answer the man, Ethan. "Okay. We're at the highest point on the island. We'll wait here." He replied. "THANK YOU!" Ethan shouted in glee. Then Silence . . . "He's coming now and he'll kill us all!!" Charlie shouted, sitting down. He rocked back and forth, eyes closed tight.

Jack recognized the classic symptoms of post traumatic stress in Charlie. He knelt down in front of the younger man and put his hands on Charlie's shoulders.
"Charlie, you listen to me. Ethan's dead, he's not coming back. Sayid's right, it's probably just some helpless teenager. God knows it didn't sound anything like Ethan. You're safe here with us and Claire is safe back at camp with everyone else. Nothing will happen this time," Jack comforted.
Jack reached into his backpack and pulled out a gun. He handed the weapon to Charlie.
"Here, take this. If by some miracle it is the same Ethan, you have this to protect yourself. If at any time he threatens you at all, you have my blessing to use it," Jack stated.
He leaned back on his haunches and looked at Charlie, silently praying that Sayid was right in his assumptions...

Shannon was becoming impatient. Was something wrong? Had they all stumbled off and got lost deep in the jungle? She pushed herself up and walked over to the entrance of the cave. Shannon sighed as she pushed her blonde hair away from her face, straining to try and hear anything. Maybe they were all on their way back.

When Boone saw Shannon walking over to the entrence, he stood up and limped over to her. He took her hand and looked out the caves.
"Do you want to go?"
He asked her, still looking outside.

Shannon sighed again. "I would but I cant leave you here alone..And yur not in any condition to go. You heard what Jack said." Shannon responded, her voice quiet and her tone flat.

Shannon looked over at him. "Boone you wouldnt be able to go at all. It wouldnt be safe for you to walk outta here." She gestured to the cave.

He felt abit bad by the fact she wasn't going to go because of him. Though he didn't want her to go alone either.

Shannon had went from an optomist to a pessimist. "Unless something happened. Who all was going?" Shannon really hadnt been paying that much attention before the group had left.
