Talya took a bundle of purple candy canes from the person with the mugs and thought about it. "We'll wait for a gap of people to move. There's a music set that's ending--that always makes the crowds move a bit. Then we can dart in while the cannons are distracted and we can grab all the plushies we want." She looked around the circle for the approving glances she was sure to receive. Lillian had been distracted by yet another book--yet another with an Imp on it. She was determined to collect every book with an Imp on it. "That sounds good," she said. "But won't it take a while?" Evelyn stood up on her tiptoes to look through the crowd. "I dunno about that," she said. "I don't know if they have enough plushies to last that long. They're launching stuff every few seconds. We're gonna have to move fast. She picked up a bundle of cotton candy from the vendor and ate a piece. "We could ask people to move..."

With a book stowed away and the plushie as well, Quilo pulled Ella along to a memory card game. Flip over six cards--however many matched determined the prize. Quilo did okay--his memory in general was pretty good, but not in the amount of time these games took. He won a glowing blue bulb that he hung around his neck. He smiled at Ella. Wait. Should he have given this to her...? Oriset found a hoop game. Not a "toss a hoop over a peg" game, but a "throw the ball through the hoop." A basketball game, in fact. Well, she'd never been that good at these things, but hey, it was worth a try, right? Her first ball missed. Her second ball did slightly better. The last ball, though, landed in the hoop. From that, she won a peppermint lollipop and a stuffed fennekit. Stuffed animals--well, she was a little old for those, and her younger siblings already had, like, a million of them. But hey...this one was red, and pretty... She decided to keep it. Batholith had just one beanbag left to catapult across the booth, and that one landed magnificently, not even brushing the edges of the hoop. He nodded in satisfaction, once again waved away a stuffed animal, and instead accepted a bundle of orange candy canes. Hey. Maybe they tasted like oranges. It was a possibility.
Another wisp darted at his face. He groaned in frustration and caught it. He loved wisps. He really did. They were pretty, and they were soothing. But hiding in his drink? Darting at his face? "You all have no manners," he grumbled. He thanked the vendor and returned to his room, satisfied with the day.

Get people to move aside... how could they... "Um..." Teo hesitated. He hated using himself like this, but... "I could ask people to move aside? People...like to move aside for me." His cheeks burned. "I'll just talk to them, okay?"
The other kids nodded. Teo took a deep breath and went over to where the crowds were the thinnest. "Excuse me?" he said, tapping one on the arm. "My friends and I are trying to get through here," he said, gesturing at the group of freshlings behind him. "We were wondering if you could maybe let us through?"
"Oh, of course!" an adult voice said. It sounded urgent and embarrassed. There was a shuffling of feet as people moved aside, and the freshlings surged past him.
"Thank you," Teo said gravely. He smiled in what he assumed was the direction of the helpful adult.
"Oh, it's no problem," the adult said. "Um, here, have this."
Teo took it and sniffed it. Oo, cotton candy! "Thank you so very much! Happy Solstice, and Nine bless!" he said. He trotted along after his friends. Had he just--had Teo just used his disability as a weapon? Peri stared at him, then grinned. Oh wow...that was not what he had expected! He took a potted plant from someone handing them out and jogged over there to catch up with Teo. "Did you just--"
"No," Teo said sharply. "All I did was ask them to make space."
"But they..."
Teo sighed. "No, they might not have moved aside for you. That's...it's not nice. But it's a fact of life. Let's drop the subject."
Peri sighed. "Okay. Whatever you say..." Guereda was glad they had come to the event. There were a lot of people here, with a lot of children collecting books. They actually seemed pretty popular! Reda smiled and continued handing them out, reorganizing the piles when they got a moment. One book caught their eye--another book about a young woman. That looked like a good read for Evey. They added it to their own private stack, which was still only modestly sized.

Camrine thought and then said "Humm I'm not sure.. I wonder if I would like gardening." Cam smiled "I'm not even sure what kind of music I like, I've been so focused on just the one thing in my mind." She frowned "I really need to fix that.." She sighed "There should be more to my life than just knitting, next I'll get a bunch of vespercats and be an old vespercat imp." Camrine grabbed a silver bell to jingle about.

Gly giggled "Well at least I've made progress it the possible friend department, if not the special sweet heart department." She smiled, not bothered, that she had confirmed that Dodger had a special one someone. She wasn't even really jealous. It was fun to flirt, she wasn't even sure, if she was ready to get serious with anyone, even if she met the best being ever. Gly grabbed a set of pink reindeer horns, and put them on her head. "So what do you like to do Dodger??"

Silas was breathing quite shallowly as the bird snacked away from the bits in his cupped palm, watching intently for any signs of sudden movement... or anger. But it was rather calm, and rather content with the offering, making the Litch slowly get a hair more comfortable with the situation.
Once the bird paid attention to Caper, he retracted his hand and watched the interaction with great curiosity, surprised by how much the little creature had warmed up to the Geist and so quickly! But that was a good thing. All seemed well now. Letting out a soft sigh of relief, he slowly eased up onto his feet again, dusting the clinging crumbs that remained on his palm off. With a faint smile, his cheeks rosied up, and his eyes cast off to the ground for safety, murmuring a very quiet 'you're welcome'. The mission had been a success!

Lilan stroked the familiar's short fur, following the sleek grain in a rather pleased fashion. The tiny thing twitched its nose rapidly at him, blinking numerous times in the process, while the Litch doted. Yes, this would do nicely. Quite pleased with his new companion, he lightly inspected it by raising each wing individually, then the tail, and finally encouraging the rodent to raise its head for a peek along its little chest. What a pretty flitterat~
Side glancing to the fey, he locked onto the sweets she'd obtained, staring at them rather intensely. And with one extended his way, he gave a short pause before accepting it without shame. The prompting of his new fan though made him puff up this time, lifting his chin high, "Yes." he confirmed, hugging the animal gently against himself in the nook of his elbow, "it is cute. I'll keep it." he announced, as though it were some grand decision. And with that rather large grin plastered on his face, one would think it very well might be. Taking a few licks of the candy can, being very dainty about it, he glanced to Estys again, eyes narrowing in thought. With a small pout forming again, he turned himself so the familiar was now closer to her, "You can get it one pet." he declared.

Another girly thing. Rorie wasn't quite sure what to do with it, but it was really fluffy and warm, it would definitely help with the cold. "Young lady..?" Kirella tilted her head to one side, curiously remarking on his statement. She understood he was trying to be polite, but she wasn't any younger than he, and it had been likely many years since someone had called her that. Still, she supposed it did feel good to have one's age be underestimated rather than told you were old. "How old do you think I am exactly?" There was a slight amused tone to her voice, maybe even a smirk tilting at the ends of her lips. She knew this wasn't a proper choice for conversing with someone you just met, but she couldn't help herself.
When he introduced himself, she sat back in her chair, letting her book glide down to the table. She lifted one leg over the other, watching him carefully. Ahhh.. so he was a teacher here. Perhaps he assumed she was still a student? Though she definitely didn't look it. "My name is Kirella." She stated simply. She didn't have any fancy titles like he did, even if she did own her own business. "And no, it's fine. I just came here to reminisce about old times, a conversation can definitely help lighten the mood." As he eyed the plushies she just laughed. "Honestly, I wish I knew where they came from myself.. I think there is a little child around here who thinks I'm lonely.. or something.. every time I turn around there is a new one." Eveilyn noticed the little bug about halfway to the book stand and after unsuccessfully trying to figure out why it wanted to follow her she timidly held out her hand and when it landed and didn't proceed to maul her in any way she figured it must be alright. She would have to ask one of the teachers about how to care for these things later after all she'd never had a pet before but at least it was one that could fly. ============================================================= Krol took a glance around having snagged a stocking for the festive season. She was going to be taking it back to campus to decorate her room. After all she might as well enjoy the festivities while she was on break from university. She wasn’t really sure what to get from all the little odds and ends that seemed to be floating around it all looked so good. She noticed a few demon’s all getting together and actually singing some sort of holiday song. She listened to it for a while and when they were done they handed out these little glowing necklaces and one of the little ones even handed her plushie. "Aww thank you." She gave him a bright smile. Autumn stood, dumbfound, in the middle of the festival room. It just seemed really odd that she couldn't find a caretaker at the moment she needed them. She'd been looking around for at least fifteen minutes now, where did all the adults wander off to? They were supposed to be there watching everyone, right? The Imp puffed her cheeks out and hauled her prizes off toward the last place she'd seen an adult, the shiny necklace booth.
"Hello? Mister? Are you still here?" She called, leaning over the booth. "... No, nobody's here. Oh, wait, what's this?"
She plucked the tiny note off of the counter and sighed. Back in five, huh? Well, she could wait! If she didn't see anyone else that could help her first. Items:

Milo skipped his way down the rows of booths, his hand holding tight to the plushie he'd picked up a few minutes before, and stopped at a booth offering brightly colored feather boas. He couldn't remember if he'd taken one of them before, or if he had one back at home with his mother, so it was probably best to take one if they had a color he liked! The Baphomet beamed and pointed toward the one he wanted.
"Can I have the blue feather boa over there, please? Thank you!" He said, fleeing with the boa as soon as it was handed to him. He'd take it home to his mother when he went to visit for the weekend, he knew that she'd find the best place to put it! Items:

After tossing the offending candy floss away and burying it deep in the trash so none of the freshlings would snag it, Melanie was faced with yet another sweet treat. Peppermint bark, one of her favorite things. She almost couldn't keep herself from tearing the package open and eating all of it in one go! Ugh, she'd need to do so much working out after all this eating, she could already feel the weight settling around her stomach! ... Well, that was probably her imagination, but it was still good for her to be conscious about how much she was eating.
"I need to find something else to eat, like vegetables." She said, her face immediately drooping. "Oh, who am I kidding? This is a festival that caters to kids. Why would they have any sort of vegetable laying around for me to eat? ... I'll just go to the cafeteria, if it's still open." Items:

Something about finding that plushie made London feel like heading back to the booth where all the books were. Books went well with plushies, right? They were things you could associate with coziness and warmth, so it was logical to say that they could relate to one another. However, as he approached the booth, the correlation between the two things seemed to be apparent to more than just him. They were offering books with plushies tied to them now! Maybe not enough people were coming an picking up books and this was an offer to draw attention? Or did they have an abundance of both things and just decide to put them together? He reached out and plucked a pairing up.
"This book seems interesting, and this plushie goes well with it." He said, smiling. "I'll take them." Items:

Well, now that he'd warmed himself up with a nice mug of hot chocolate and a cup of noodles from the cafeteria, Zephyr felt he finally had the energy continue wandering around the festival. He wasn't entirely full from the noodles, though, so he decided to play a game that involved candy and plushies as prizes so he could fill in the spaces in his stomach that remained. It was one of those weird guessing games where they tried to throw a bunch of trick questions around and confuse you, but you'd still win something even if they stumped you. However, for once, Zephyr was able to answer every question poised to him correctly and won the top prize.
"Whoa, another giant one? Nice!" He laughed, giving the plush a pat. "And it comes with some candy floss, just what I wanted!" Items:
