Kyrie smiled. "Go ahead, I'm sure Ahkshi will be finished by now," she murmured, motioning towards the door that led to the hallway. "And I'm sure Suki and Yasu will be just fine."

She eyed her longtime friend, who was looking at her innocently. "Better than Uruloki, I'm sure," she added dryly.

Uruloki just maintained his innocent look.

Kyrie smiled and shook her head, then turned back to Miyuki. "Last door on the left," she told her.

The open doorways showed only empty rooms, and once again, Mailon's doorway was the only one with a curtain drawn over it. As Miyuki approached, the curtain was drawn back, and Ahkshi stepped out.

"Oh, h-h-hello, Miyuki," he smiled at her, stepping aside to let her through the doorway. "Here to visit M-M-Mailon?"

Ahkshi smiled at Miyuki. "He's d-d-d-doing very well," he murmured. "He's recovering very quickly now, and I w-w-wouldn't be surprised if he were r-r-ready to travel again in a m-m-month or so."

Inside the room, Mailon was dressed very lightly in whites again, standing next to the window and leaning on the sill as he looked out. He sensed rather than heard Suki entering the room behind him, and he turned to see who was there. The bed was in the way, and while he could see Ahkshi and Miyuki in the doorway, talking, he knew that there was someone else in the room.

"Hello?" he called out softly, looking for who it might be.

Ahkshi chuckled softly. "Well, we'll s-see. Hopefully he's n-n-not so foolish." He nodded towards the room. "You g-go ahead, I'm g-going to speak with Kyrie."

And with another smile, he headed off down the hall.

Mailon blinked when he saw Suki hop up on the bed, surprised by the appearance of the strange creature. "And what are you?" he asked, his brow furrowing slightly. He turned away from the window and moved to sit on the edge of the bed. "I assume you belong to this young woman." He nodded at Miyuki, whose name he didn't know.

Mailon kept his face expressionless, though he was amazed by the talking creature.

"You must be one of the people in the group with Lin and Earendil," he said, directing his comment to Miyuki. "No creatures such as these ... or yourself for that matter, exist in this world, to my knowledge."

And while he was not as old as Kyrie, his knowledge was quite vast.

"Hello, Miyuki," Mailon replied with a gentle smile, bowing his head respectfully. "I am Mailon, though if you are the daughter of Earendil and Lin, I'm certain you know that already."

He gestured towards a chair, offering it to her. "Please sit."

Mailon nodded slowly, not entirely sure why Miyuki would have stopped in to see him.

"You ... uh ... had a lot to do, then?" he asked, at a loss as to know why she might have come to visit him.
