Even running as fast as he could to get away, it was impossible for adventuremaster to avoid taking a bit of damage. Falling debris from the trees being knocked down around him was enough to spur him on, however. There was no way he was going to be stopping for any reason.

Things began to quiet down, and behind him, from out of nowhere, the voices began. Quiet at first, but growing in volume. Familiar voices, ones from his past. One in particular stood out among the others.
"Christine?" He stopped, and turned, expecting to see the blonde there, confusing emotions surging up inside of him.

Wow that had been a terrible idea hadn't it.

Luckily, death in a place like this meant very little. So he'd gotten eaten by a monster. Big freaking deal! That had happened to him for real in the non-dream world, and he'd survived that as well.
Still, it seemed like a pretty good idea to run again.

He thought that he would be able to just ignore the voices this time.
He thought wrong.
Of course they would use the voice of his late father against him. Of course they would. He squeezed his eye shut, stopping, listening to that voice that he thought that he would never have gotten to hear again.
"....Dad..." He hadn't been eaten yet, so he dared to turn, to try and see, to just catch a small peek. <******** this game.

You reach a fork in the road and you have to make a choice. - To the right you see a health potion. This will cure you for 10 HP instantly. - To your left you see a second chance timer. This will save you ONCE from instant death. - You may ONLY use these two items in this Quest encounter. You MUST choose one and ONLY one.
Chase Pt 3
Darting around another bend, flashfire froze briefly--there was a fork in the road, and a decision to make. Looking from one to the other, he made a snap decision, darting for the second chance timer and continuing onward.

He kept moving, refusing to slow, refusing to stop. Something hit him, but he ignored it, knowing that to stop and turn was to die and just end up right back at the damn beginning again.

You are now EVADING the Jabberwock. It moves faster now, snapping at everything around it indiscriminately and blindly. Sometimes it hits trees, sometimes other players, sometimes you. Roll 1d4 TWICE to see the damage you take! Do this in two different posts.
- If at any point you roll a 4 you DIE INSTANTLY. This is however, nullified if you chose the SECOND CHANCE TIMER. This will save you once from instant death. This will not save you again if you roll another 4. You will have to redo the whole quest event (main quest 2) if you die instantly, as you respawn.
-Otherwise you take damage equal to the amount you rolled for! If your HP hits 0, you die instantly.
Chase Pt 4; 1st blow
Unable to move...forward, really, given the Jabberwock's erratic action, flashfire focused instead on dodging the snapping teeth--was the creature even aiming, at this point? He watched as it snapped a tree limb with one powerful snap, and then, a split second later, sharp teeth glanced along his upper arm. Rolling to the side, he got to his feet and tried to keep out of reach.

Another hit, something slamming into him with force, but he kept moving. He kept moving until, once again, the woods went still and quiet. Even then, however, he jogged on for a ways, before he stopped, his armor clinking to a halt with him.
Turning around, it seemed that the jabberwocky was gone. As well as that, a ding let him know he'd gone up a couple of levels and gained some loot.
"Score." He grinned, before wandering off to find something else to entertain himself with.

after the shaking of the woods and the unnerving silence, feeling a presence behind her wan not to reassure Ash. Frozen she could only watch the head on the long neck come towards her and *snap!* almost bites her head off. As she watches the gleaming white teeth come at her again the ghoul starts running for her life. So she escaped with only two more damage points taken.

Another glancing blow had him staggering slightly, although flashfire did manage to stay on his feet. Spotting an opening, he took off running once again, wondering just how determined this thing really was.

Running away the Cheshire cat lost sight of the Jabberwock but she could still hear it's heavy footsteps very clearly. Much to clearly for her taste.
So when the voices, cajoling, familiar voices start sounding from behing her she is tempted to turn around. But afraid to stop even for a second. When the temptation becomes too strong her stpes falter and she only has time to glimpse white before the world turns black.

At last you reach out of the forest. Out of the darkest parts of the forest anyway, as the Jabberwock loses interest in you or you are finally out of range of its attacks. The forest shakes but its safe for you again. It's safe for you for another day.
Chase Pt 5
Finally, the noise seemed to stop. Continuing to run a bit longer, he finally chanced a look behind him, surprised to see no onrushing teeth attempting to swallow him up. It would appear that he was safe...for now.
