He was so busy grumbling about the trees and their abilities to either bite him or just annoy him that he almost ran headfirst into the sign post. Straightening his hat he looked up. "You are here.... well no s**t. where else would I be? Oh wait." He rolled his eyes knowing asking that sort of question in a place like this could actually get him an answer he really didn't want. "So if I'm here then I need to get there..." where ever there was, which was hopefully not here. As he made his way though the forest, having had to grab his hat back from quite a number of grabbing tree branches, he finally spied a new sign between a few more trees. "Didn't I just come from this way?" He paused in front of the sign and looked at it .... "Okay, guess I'm going that way then." Making his way away from the 'there' sign he pushed though a few trees. His foot got stuck once and after pulling it out he hopped back a few steps and bumped into the next sign. "Up anywhere?" Reading it he frowned before looking up. "What kind of crap is this? How an I supposed to .... ********" Continuing on he followed where the sign had pointed as best he could. Going up as best he could, which was more of a horizontal in a slightly up fashion he eventually found his way to another sign.

He'd found a sign. It said YOU ARE HERE. Well, that was obvious, Fang thought. The sign pointed further into the woods. Or maybe it was out of the woods? Maybe he should try. He sniffed the air, then remembered that he couldn't really smell properly in this game. Frustrating. In most games, he wouldn't have tried, but he was in this game. He paused and picked his pocket card out of his pocket, tapping the minimap icon. The loading icon cycled several times, and then the card popped up a display: MAP NOT AVAILABLE. Well, okay, he'd tried. He put it away and trotted off into the woods in the direction of the sign pointed. The next sign said THERE. That was straightforward enough. Fang changed course and followed the new pointer. It pointed back in a similar direction to where he'd come from, but this was a dream, or a game, and therefore going back in the same direction didn't mean that he would automatically end up where he'd come from.

Wiz quickly ran past the sign to get to the nest one as quickly as possible. Wiz ran past the second sign to the one that pointed upwards, groaning slightly. This was the one she had to get by in order to pass this Quest.
May the luck gods have mercy on her.

The next sign said UP ANYWHERE, and Fang peered at the sky with some confusion. He didn't see a ladder, or stairs, or a rope. Maybe he should try climbing a tree. He located the tree closest to the direction the arrow pointed and scrambled upwards, awkwardly tucking his cloak back so it wouldn't catch on branches.

Wiz stopped when she saw the up sign again, huffing and panting while staring at it with a small glare.

He couldn't see a way forward, and even once he'd climbed as high as he could he couldn't see any other signs besides the one right down by the base of the tree, so maybe this wasn't the right path to take. Fang climbed back down, growling a little to himself.

When he dropped out of the tree and looked at the sign again, Fang discovered that it was no longer the UP ANYWHERE sign, but that somehow, in the course of going up and then down a tree, he'd ended up back at the THERE sign. That was frustrating. He started off along the indicated path again.

He'd though he'd taken the same way he'd gone before when he found the UP ANYWHERE sign, but when he saw a sign and jogged towards it, it turned out to be the HERE sign. Fang kicked the sign. This wasn't fair. What was this, randomized?
If it was randomized he was just going to have to keep following the directions till he got where he was going. If not ... well ... he couldn't tell where the clues were, and he wasn't very good at puzzles anyway, so he would just keep doing random things and eventually maybe he'd stumble onto the solution.

So the sign was going to be a troll huh? Wiz stomped passed the second sign, hoping she could make back to the up sign. This forest was getting on her nerves. He found the THERE sign again, easily enough, it felt like. Okay, next sign. Fang pointed himself at the same two trees he'd walked between several times now, and started off.
