All I could respond to Helena's cooing with was a groan. I nearly collapsed against the Gorgon woman, as my ears continued to twitch and spasm. they continued to twitch for a long agonizing moment... I couldn't hear a damn thing.
~~~
Silvia's eyes suddenly lit up with gold light, and she blinked for a long moment. Her ears still twitched, but her look of confusion faded to a smile. Her hands started to glow white, and she reached up and gently massaged the inside of her ears for a moment.
~~~
I gave a sigh of relief as my hearing slowly returned. I reached up and massaged my forehead, and things got a little clearer. The light faded from my hands and eyes, and I looked down at my hands.
.... That's cheating... I don't mind cheating... better be careful when I do it tho....
I shook my head, before my ears swiveled to the door.
What in the blazes is going on out there?

Shikoba looked to Corel with a gentle smile. You feel it too? There's something we're supposed to do here... I can feel it.
Stepping towards the door she had a big smile on her face as she looked at it.
This will be a lot more adventure in this then I thought!
Corel as she found herself drawn more, found that the call was like... and old friend calling to her, asking for help. Whatever it was, it needed her help, just like it needed this other girl's help. ... Would she run away from a friend calling for help?

Magz felt the impact, but she didn't care. She could have glass shards piercing every part of her body, and it wouldn't matter. She was a phoenix. She would simply rise again for her next life. The instant the harpies were on the rock, Magz was moving. She grabbed at the neck of the closest and flicked the lighter on, aiming to burn its face and then anything else she could put flame to.
Cecelia took Silvia to the shore and passed her off to the gorgon, who made her a little nervous. She kept her distance even though she stayed with them. She was staring at the kitsune feeling so very guilty. If she had reigned in her anger she would have been fine. Her act was unnecessary and her friend got hurt. "Thanks for taking care of me, you guys." she said softly. "Silvia, I am soooo sorry." She said tugging on a strand of her hair. "I shouldn't have done that."

The wet harpy's face didn't catch fire, though it did turn it's face away and clawed at her arm, trying to get her to move the lighter away.
The harpy was a lot stronger then mags, and managed to force the lighter to the arm she was holding the Harpy with.
As Magz was covered in oil, the fire lit! It spread across her arm, up her shoulder, and across her body in a flash of fire! Before she knew it she was aflame!
And yet, it didn't hurt as the flames completely engulfed her. The harpy struggled and got free of her grip, flapping away wetly as Magz was consumed by fire.
It was there, infront of these two hideous creatures, that Magz transformed... into a form which she felt for the first time was... right. She was now covered in beautiful gold, orange and red feathers, and her wings spread across the ritual chamber. Due to her rage, they were alight with flame and made the water steam and boil where they touched. She had talons... LARGE ones, with golden claws that left gouge marks in the boulder below her. Her beak was long and sharp, and shined in the light like a flash of gold...

I looked to Cecelia and smiled.
Don't be. That's how you deal with things... with sound. Just... be more careful with people with more sensitive hearing around. If I hadn't gotten that healing spell, I would still be deaf right now. Would you like to come with us and help us deal with whatever is going on outside?
Cecelia smiled halfheartedly. She still felt bad. Especially when she said she could be deaf right now. How was she supposed to be able to protect herself and others if sound could be heard by everyone? She would have to think hard on that one. She shook her head at her friend's suggestion. It wasn't plausible. If only it was like Sybil in her vision. But she didn't think Silvia could pull off what Rakia could. She was still getting used to her magic. Which means that Cecelia would be stuck in a tank. "I would, but if I had a shark here, they probably have something just as bad or worse. I can't control my voice without hurting anyone and I will be all but a useless weight stuck in that tank." she told her friend. "You two go. I'll just have to wait." She had a lot to think about with that dream. Perhaps it would distract her from the commotion outside. She felt more useless than ever.

I glanced at her and then to the door. Glancing around, I saw a small black object in the sand. I picked it up, and it was revealed to be Ratchet's earpiece. Dusting the sand off I stuck it in my ear.
My eyes widened as I listened to all the chatter going on.
There are monsters attacking the lab all over. It's been put into a total lockdown. What if another creature attacks you? I said. Are you sure you'll be fine all alone in here?
Cecelia felt the anger again at that suggestion. They were under attack and it brought that massive funeral pyre back to mind. No one close to her was going to be leaving anytime soon. And she wouldn't be leaving either. She was not going to anymore funerals. No more gone like Celeste. Cecelia grinned at Silvia fiercely. "I think it's better if I am alone. If what I just did it any indication." she said. She turned herself around and pulled herself back out into the water. "Watch your backs! And I better get every detail when it's done!" she called. "Just 'cause I'm stuck here doesn't mean you can leave me out."

I watched her wiggle herself back into the water. I smiled. She was strong.
Cecelia.... there are ways to get you back on two legs. And I'll find a way. That I swear.
I then gestured to Helena and lead the Gorgon woman out of the room.
Cecelia watched them go before she disappeared under the water with barely a ripple. She knew there was a way to have legs, but her thoughts on legs were mixed. She missed the freedom to move were she liked, but she liked her new form much better. Her beautiful shining scales and tail were stunning and she knew it. She wanted to make then shine the bright so they could be admired. There was more power to this tail then her legs had as well. She felt stronger everywhere in face. You couldn't move through water as easily as air, afterall. But the idea of being alone was... well lonely. She needed company, without the degradation and confinement of being in a aquarium. It was frustrating. Cecelia swam about on alert, thinking about it and her vision. Was she Sybil? Was that a past life? Or was she someone of similar making. Someone she had inherited her form from? She wasn't sure. It was confusing and much more than she expected. All of this was, from the transformation, to the powers, to the dreams. This seemed to be beyond what science could put on paper. Finita was going to have her hands fun. And probably already did. What was going on out there...?

((Breaking news!
I would like to thank Lady A for volunteering to take over both Shikoba and Micheal! Yaayy!!
And now back to your regularly scheduled programming))
It was just as it should be, once the flames had finished their work. She peered down at the now smaller "threat", and would have smirked if she had a human face.
The flames roared across her body as she slowly made her way towards the harpies, steam beginning to rise from the water below.

The harpies shirked and jabbered as they started to swim away from the newly transformed Magz, though as they were designed to fly (not swim) their progress were slow going. They were also too wet to take flight. As Magz moved across the boulder towards them, the freaking out harpies where struggling to stay afloat...
"Ah I see, these artifacts must hold some great importance! Hopefully this whole mess can be resolves without you impaling someone gracefully." Olivia mused to Finita as she followed after her.
Once they arrived at the Dwarven woman's room she fluttered next to Finita and gasped flying out of the way as some water hit the poor Minotaur woman. "It looks like the woman is having fun?" she said now sitting ontop of Finita's head. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ratchet gasped as he was suddenly knocked underwater by one of her cannon balls. It didn't hurt too much, but as he came up to breath he was almost run over by it! That was something he had never seen before! A dresser magically turning into a small toylike battle ship! Dang, these women had some odd powers!
When Finita showed up he gave her a shrug. "Your guess is as good as mine! Here help me get this..uhh...boat to the edge of the room so Estelle can leave please." he said grabbing onto the ship a bit guiding it slowly to Finita.
Obviously these two were called, and Alex watched as both girls seem to suddenly bug out. It looks like every girl that came here was chosen? Wow that was strange.
Though hearing the doors shut behind him and pretty much Finita screaming to get the girls to the observation room he ran up to them. "Save your daydreams for later. Right now we need to get to the observation room! I have no clue what's going on, but stay close to me alright?" he smiled at them both as he began to guide the girls to where Finita had instructed. They didn't really have a choice now, if they wanted to leave or not.

Finita just glanced at it and shook her head.
Well... that's... new...
Flicking off her pendent she waded into the water, and she grew to full size then. Walking about the back of the battleship she pushed it along, until the front of it gently bumped into the stairs.
Okay Estelle! You can cool it with the cannons!
The cannons stopped and the dwarf lass peeked her head out from below deck. Looking about, she saw dry land, and immediately leapt out of the battleship, landed on the stairs, and marched out into the hall beyond.
Finita waded out of the water and put her pendent back on, before following the dwarf lass out the door.
Oy! Took ye long enough!
I was getting my axe.
Estelle turned and saw the long halberd, laying on the floor.
Et is ah nice axe. What held ye up?
A Manticore in my room.
....
Here's, let's work on gathering everyone in a safe place. A good place is the Observation room. Ratchet, Micheal, accompany Estelle and Olivia here to the Observation room. I'm going to go check on Cecelia and see if I can't find Silvia and Helena. I'll escort them back.
She gestured to the stairs, before gently putting moving Olivia from her head and put her on Estelle's head. The dwarf studied the little fairy closely, but did not protest... much.
Then the Minotauress picked up her halberd and headed for Cecelia's room.
As she approached the room, the door opened and out stepped Silvia, followed by Helena.
You two all right? Is the shark taken care of?
Yep. Helena stoned it.

It was careful going for the girls and Alex as they wandered through the halls... thankfully, they managed to keep out of sight of any monsters until they reached this 'observation room". They got there just in time to see a Pheonix had appeared in the Ritual chamber and was bearing down on some Harpies!
Olivia smiled at Estelle and giggled with the Dwarf began to protest. "Oh don't be silly, I can get off of your head if you'd like!" she mused floating up and moving to sit upon Ratchet's shoulder. "Whoo what a morning! Ratchey-poo, I'm so tired all of a sudden." she sighed. The fairy also felt a little sick to her stomach. Maybe it was just all the excitement? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ratchet stared at Finita for a moment. Wow the woman was...really large in her natural state wasn't she!? He pulled and she pushed and thankfully they were able to get Estelle to safer ground. Wiping his brow he looked back at the room and sighed just in time to hear Olivia's words.
"Yes, what a morning indeed..." he shook his head then looked over to see the fairy now sitting on his shoulder. Not that he cared. Looking at everyone he gave a nod. "Alright to the observation room!"
Though with the mentioning of the Manticore earlier, he hoped monsters oddly hadn't begun to appear because of the rituals! What if they had accidentally unlocked some kind of portal to another monster filled world that was leading monsters into their world!?
No..that was stupid, and crazy! -------------------------------------------------------------------
Alex gasped at the Phoenix and the Harpies. "Never a dull moment." he chuckled then gently grabbed the girls by the arms. "Follow me, I'll make sure you two are safe from attacks! This is uhh...kind of sudden." he blushed shyly.
"Though, what you see before you two is real! I'm sure the Head Scientist will answer any questions you have later." he said then grew worried. Alexander hoped the others were alright! Sure they were all magical, but they could still be killed!
It was then the door opened and Ratchet, Micheal, Estelle, and Olivia entered the room. He waved them down. ------------------------------------------------------------------ "What the heck is going on!?" Ratchet gasped noticing the Phoenix. She was probably the newest girl. Man this was a crazy morning! Turning to look at Estelle he gave her a serious glance.
"Do you think you could work some of your rune magic Estelle? Like you did before? She'll probably need our help." he said to the Dwarf, figuring she was a tough as nails fighter too. Maybe he could get her to make him a club or staff or something so he could help the new girl fend off the Harpies. Normally he would be shocked, but now he was used to magical creatures all over the place!
