"Judging by my current database there are some which were solar powered, but beforehand it was bio-fuel and electricity. Solar-powered cars had just come off the lot." he stopped to look at one, dusting it off and analyzing the image. "So even if we don't have a solar powered one, we could siphon gas in to a working biofueled car, assuming the tires still have air." this one had flats.

"Yea, the roads'll no doubt go on for a while." he patted a car, looking around them at the graveyard of cars. "Well, let's start looking for one." If they kept at this all day they may have to spend the night in one of these buildings. Hal was worried about that, but he started to search, looking for cars with keys in them before moving on. A lot of these seemed abandoned already, though. Like they had drove through and stopped here, or their cars ran out here, or they came but...

One car turned on. Hal wondered if the person who owned this one was dead.

"Momo!" The noise was loud, echoing everywhere in the silence, rumbling and grumbling. "It can turn on, but it needs gas. Let's check the gas-tanks of the cars to see if we can give it any more."

"I may have heat vision but certainly not x-ray. I'm not superman." he chuckled, looking at the cars. "But I'm sure I can do something. Excuse me." and he waited for Momo to move, taking a breath he didn't need before turning the car over. "Let's check the gas tank from here." and grinned, moving things and taking things off before pulling out the needed container, shaking it. "It has gas. Not a lot. Maybe two or three cars. We'll have to head out in the morning though, it's getting hot so we'll have to take a break."

"I suppose I am an attractive male. It'd be hard not to have some sort of physical attraction." he agreed, "Although your hair makes you so much more attractive." and held the gas tank up, looking around for appropriate shelter. There was that one, that one, that one, not that one, yes, definitely not.

"All right. Let's go head that way for now." and walked over, doing a heat scan before smiling, "No living beings, either. Our lucky day."

"Yes but I am your nut." the shadows were greatly welcomed, Hal stretching a bit. It was certainly much cooler here than there. "All right." and moved to st down beside him. "We can see if the lights work after our break. It's hot right now, so let's take an hour, maybe an hour and a half." the buildings did block a lot of wind, so it was just going to get worse, though the shade did ease the heat somewhat.

Hal smiled, "Superman was a man who was from space. He was strong and powerful, he could stop airplanes and bullets, but he didn't want people to know he was Superman so he would pretend to be a weak human. He had many enemies but his main enemy was a compound called kryptonite." he said, "it weakened him for reasons unknown to me, but he got his power from the sun." and smiled a bit. "But get your rest. he's fictional, nothing more than a child's tale."

"Of course." Hal shifted before letting Momo lean up against him. He went through his programs to turn on his heart but paused.

It was already on.

Pushing aside the momentary panic, he let the other snuggle in to him. "I will. I promise. For now you just need to sleep." and stroked his hair, listening and reading the body's signals until it went to sleep.

Opening program.

And it opened, the lines upon lines upon lines of coding going through his mind, scanning each line and its order. What would keep his heartbeat on?

But then the program was crossing with other programs, and by the time the temperature had cooled off, Hal had a spiderweb of programs open, each and everyone connected to each other from his own thought processes to the simple movement of his toes.

All starting with his heartbeat program.

"Wake up." he murmured, noticing the alarm in his corner saying it was time to wake up his friend. "Momo, it's cooled off."
