Considering he'd taken, what, a brief pause before running back (how did he even move that fast??) he oughta still be there. Sterncave bounded right up to him, stood in front of him, and then blinked for a moment.
"You know what, guy?" he said, then "I'm really sleepy."
Sterncave promptly curled up at the guy's feet and fell asleep. Yep.
It wasn't even sweet silence; Stern kept mumbling in his sleep, twitching slightly. "It's not always about rabbits, sometimes it's the way you look at a grey thing and then bam! It's curtains and frogs forever, no more dinner plates..."
It carried on for a while.

Altairas began regretting the moment he patted a stranger's head when he grabbed his hands and began flailing his arms about like wet noodles. He tolerated the boy with the straightest face he could manage, though his eyebrows might have twitched once or twice. "I'm Altairas if you must know..." He was doubtful his acquaintance was even paying enough attention to hear him. "And I suppose you're Sterncave..."
He watched as the boy let loose some unusual dance moves and spouted nonsense with his perpetual voice before collecting all of his shards and then disappearing.
Alt rubbed his forehead as if it would help him recover from that encounter. It was a brief silence, but in the moments he had alone, Altairas hunted another fragment. When Sterncave returned and fell asleep at his feet, Alt felt a fleeting sense of fondess before he began talking in his sleep. "Not even unconsciousness will shut him up..." He sighed, carefully moving away from the sleeping boy to continue his hunt.

It was good to feel more solid and complete. Sevy mulled over this as he left the Shrine after receiving his second blessing from the goddess, his thumbs rubbing over the slightly roughened pads of his fingers as his fingers clenched and unclenched every now and then. There were... things on his back and he felt them spring open when he did a little stretch to rid himself of the slight stiffness that was starting to make its presence known in his neck.
Ohai there wings. Didn't know that you were back there.
Turning back to look at them, he stretched his wings out fully, a pensive look on his face as he stared in silence for close to a minute before tucking them neatly back. If he per chance glanced down and saw that he had bird feet, he was going to be so not amused. Now where on earth was Ajsak..?

Zealot He, was ecstatic that he had managed to do so well at his task. His already more solid from of slightly clawed hands and small nubs of horns made him all the more aware that the beings around him were slowly starting to take more solid form.
Bumping into one of these beings, he blinked for a moment, looking over the winged creature with interest. Wings fascinated him now. The glider trip alone made him long to fly again.
"My apologies, I was lost in my own thoughts," Zealot murmured to the male.
"I am Zealot He, who might you be?"

Altairas pocketed another shard and continued his hunt. He was sure not to stray too far from the sleeping gray figure. Spotting another fragment, Alt crept closer, but he didn't bother to consider trying out Sterncave's techniques - they were just foolishness, after all.

A figure with blue approached her. She'd had little contact with others in her previous location, with those whose heart was red like hers. She'd been too busy hunting for warmth. Now though, she felt a need to speak. To... she didn't know. Something had changed after that offering. So she didn't move away as he neared. His question was simple, and much like one she'd heard (read?) before.
"I am," her words were still slow, she hadn't used them much, "Rhryse. Who are you?"

Casually, Alt snagged another shard just as he happened to pass by. He grinned widely at his victory. It was too bad his friend wasn't awake to behold his glorious accomplishment and shower him in compliments. Maybe some other time. Altairas noticed a pattern every time he managed to touch one of these strange fragments - whispers of words which had no meaning to him. He wondered what the significance was as he continued searching for more fragments.

Score! Altairas gripped another shard in his palm and beamed. And he didn't even have to do any ridiculous dance moves to get it. Just one more and he could be done and perhaps join his friend in a short nap...

Altairas returned from the shrine looking pleased and rather exhausted. He curled up a short distance away from Sterncave for what he believed would be a small, yet refreshing nap.
