"That's right," Lael says, putting the bottle away. She puts a hand on the elf's shoulder, worried.

Jonathan Hastem snarled as he saw the blue-haired woman cut his commander's arm. He knew she wasn't human, the fact the she always knew what he and the other soldiers were thinking was proof of that, but it was still a deep wound. Jonathan looked at the other men, men he had been leading under the commander for years, and knew they wanted to rush in. "Hold men!," he commanded, "She can take this! We've seen her get out of worse than this before!"

The commander is taken back by the wound on her arm but she ignores it, coming right back to the action as quickly as her opponent. Their swords meet ocassionally, a sharp twang sounding at each reunion.
A few minutes after the cut, the two are stuck in a lock of swords, face to face.
"How's the arm?" Sanyu asks, trying to get her sword lose.
The commander smirks and says, "Couldn't be better."
Sanyu's face drops as she takes a glance at the commander's arm - it looks as if it was never cut, though her sleeve shows that it had in fact been cut. Only one race can heal that quickly without drinking blood from a victim.
Mystic, Sanyu thinks.
You better believe it, Sanyu, the commander responds to her telepathically.
"Hypocrite!" Sanyu growls as the two swords loosen their hold on each other.
The commander glows with a royal anger - the kind that a king uses when he controls his army in a fierce battle; the kind that can make anyone back down from their offense against the warrior that uses it. Sanyu does not back down, knowing that she must fight against this Mystic that is killing Mystics.
The two return to their sword fight.

Jay's hands start to twitch and he whistles something very fast. Kitara nods, her migraine starting to fade, and he runs down the tunnel ahead of them. The woman's pain dissipates.
Standing up, she says, "Jay's nervous. He says we have to get going or else we're going to have trouble. ...so he went ahead of us to check the path."

"Then we'd better get going," Lael responds. "Do you need any help?"

Kitara shakes her head as she stands up. "Nah. I'm fine now."
Jay glances her way then starts to leave the tunnel ahead of the two of them.
"Let's go," Kitara nods, motioning for Lael to accompany the two of them for a while.

Kitara shrugs, following her blue-black haired companion. In front of them shines a light, a small circular light, coming from above them.
-That must be the exit.- Kitara thinks and sees Jay turn to her. She knows that he is thinking the same thing.
He twitters something to her and, after she gives a nod, he heads back down the tunnel area. He takes a left turn, to a side tunnel that they had just passed. Kitara goes up to the opening and, finding a manhole cover, stands by it as she waits for Jay. After a minute, a bluejay flies up to the two women. Kitara opens the manhole cover and Jay flies out to check the surroundings before Kitara and Lael exit.

They exit into the forrest. They can still see the mystic town, but it is quite a ways away. Far enough that if it weren't for the flames they may not see the town at all. Lael looks at it sadly. We failed. she thinks. We completely and utterly failed.

Kitara, Jay and Lael continue their exodus from the Mystic town in silence. Jay notices something a bit out of place once they have been walking for about ten minutes. He chirps to Kitara and she looks over to where he indicates. In semi-plain view, they can see a little bit of some sort of red substance among the dark brown colored leaves at the foot of a tree. It's not fire, but it's not moving either...
"Hey, Lael, what do you think that is?"

"I have no idea," Lael replies. "Blood, maybe?" She goes over to the trees and bends down to get a closer look.

Taking a closer look at the red thing, it turns out to be hair. ...with a body attached to it.
Jay takes a lookout position as Kitara kneels down and turns the being over. It's....
"Margem?" Kitara asks, shocked.
The being is unconcious and with a slightly scraped up face - the blood from her wounds clotting up to make a scab.

"Oh my," Lael says. She takes a look at her wound, but it doesn't seem that bad. "We should probably get her out of here. Her head's not that bad."

Kitara nods and, trying not to disturb the girl too much, starts to pick Margem up (craddling her head, just in case of an injury). However, when she does start to pick her up, the girl's eyelids flutter open. She intakes air quickly in a shocked reaction when she sees Kitara and Lael by her. She sits up suddenly and, pain rushing to her head, she almost collapses forward.
The blue haired elvish woman asks, concerned, "Margem, are you alright?"
She sits bent over for a few seconds before she sits up, her grey eyes clear from any visible pain. She nods before getting to her feet.
Her face shows no sign of wounds, so Kitara asks, "How'd you heal so quickly?"
The redhead shrugs and says, "I wasn't wounded, maybe?"
Kitara almost says something but Jay comes over and says that they need to be on their way.

Lael frowns at the sudden healing of the wound, but doesn't say anything. Maybe it's a mystic thing, she thinks.
"Come on," she says. "We'd better get moving."
