I am totally against ALL gay anime/manga couples. Real life situations are different, but I like to try to avoid those kind of relasionships. Out of vague curiosity, why not? (one of my reasons for liking said pairing is that I just find the idea of huge grown up Kurogane with little princess Tomoyo(I have no idea how old she actually is in Tsubasa, but she looks really young) really repulsive.
I still find it immoral, though, and I agree with you. It'd be like... a big brother dating his little sister, in my opinion. And even then, Tomoyo's more motherly to Kurogane than anything, given his past circumstances. I couldn't ever see them 'together' in that way... eek. I dunno. It may be cute, but it doesn't strike me as likely, OR the perfect match for Kuro.
I don't think there's anything but respect and platonic love there. Just my view, though~.

And I don't wanna think of Kuro-puppy as a *****. As for the whole KuroFai deal - I don't mind it so much. I think they work. It's obvious there's love between them 3nodding . At least to me, that is. I think they work together well, and if you simply read CLAMP with an open mind you'll see alot of shounen ai stuff, including Kurogane and Fai. Especially where we are now in the manga (online, of course. What is it now? Volume 27? XD). It's simply a known fact - CLAMP writes so that if the reader squints, they'll see shounen ai everywhere. And I actually want to kick people in the face/hurl everytime someone suggests 'You two are so good together!' or 'Are you going out?' It's like, "NO, I'M NOT. I'M FEMALE AND I HAVE A MALE FRIEND. GETOVERITYUH?"
Yeah, I see it that way too. Besides, it's rumored that CLAMP began as yaoi doujinshi artists... I love pointing that out, because it's such a well-known fact to yaoi/shounen-ai lovers, and yet it's completely disregarded or ignored by people who hate the idea of CLAMP boys together. Makes me giggle a whoole lot. Not even that, but CLAMP never really HAS and likely WON'T come out and exactly state, "This pairing is official." It's just not their style. They're the queens of twisting plots and amazing art... why not be the queens of screwing with our hearts too? It's more fun that way~!
But yes, CLAMP LOVES to imply. They're the masters of implied romance, really...
I don't mean to bash any other pairing, and I certainly can still appreciate Sakura and Syaoran (considering we all KNOW that pairing's canon love), but I'd have to honestly admit, I love the idea of Fai and Kurogane together. :3 Evidence seems too overwhelming to just let it pass by. I may be a fangirl, but I'm not blinded by my obsession enough to not have a valid argument or two. xDD

I still don't see exactly why popular things are shunned, though... I mean, I usually dislike popular things too (Naruto, anyone?) because it gets old and overdone, but I was interested and rooting for Kuro/Fai before I ever found the LJ community or any Kuro/Fai-related things when I became obsessed.. o-o So I guess it just depends.
Curiosity's sake... would you like it if it weren't popular?
