Only then did the young noble notice she couldn't hear anything. It was weird hearing just the thump of her heart and the jolt of her foot upon each stair.
Weird overall really, considering she'd died and lived and used to be someone else.

Her heart panged with sadness as the Voice spoke once more. I'm sorry, she told it regardless if it heard. I know what it's like to be caught in something I wish I could fix. It gets better.
