The guard opened his mouth but stopped when the man said "My name is Viktor." He then began to walk towards the woman with a smile and held out his hand. "Nice to meet you Lieutenant. Hope I can serve you and His Majesty well enough."

Tray blinked at the name, since she remember most if not everything by now she knew well enough that the name still sent chills up and down her spine. She looked at he guard before looking at the man again she folded her arms. "So then Viktor, you are joining. Tell me, why is it you want to enlist?"

Viktor blinked as Tray shivered slightly. Upon hearing her question he said "I just feel as though my skills could be put to their best use in the military." ------------ Beck began to pass some trees as they galloped across plains.

"And what skills might those be?"------- Len was still keeping his pace behind the others he looked behind him for a moment thinking he saw something but then decided he must have imagined it so looked ahead again. It was now he decided to speed up just a bit they noticed they were nearing a village he would get a horse in this one.

Viktor responded "Magick." ------------ Once the group pulled into the village, Beck got off his horse and said "Should we get some food or no?"

"Are those your only skills?" Tray said, she was not able to contain her disdain for Magick.------- Len stopped when they all did he was panting just slightly. He looked at Beck. "Up to you." he said to the king. "I'll just go where you go at this point." he noticed off to the side where he could rent a horse he made a note of it's location and figured to acquire one later then looked back at Beck and the others.

Beck looked back at the knights and then the messenger. "We have about 3 hours, Your Highness." responded the messenger with a small sigh. Beck then looked at his horse and stroked the mane a bit before saying "I think we should let the horses rest while we get something to eat." ----------- Viktor blinked and said "No, I'm well trained in swordplay but I just prefer magick, Ma'am."

Len just nodded he looked around the town a bit more then back at Beck. "When did you want to learn some hexes? Since we have the time." ------- "I see, and...this Magick skills you have, where did you learn them?"

Beck nodded and said "right now is good." ----------- Viktor looked at Tray and responded "Books, a few mages here and there, but mainly books."

Len nodded then headed for some trees. "Better do this where others can't see." he said. ------- "Self taught then. How old are you?"

Tray sighed then nodded. "Alright very well then..." she looked aat him then. "The guard here will give you the rest of the information." She slowly turned to go to her horse again.------- Len stopped once they were away from prying eyes then he turned to him and undid his cloak and reached into his bag he took out a large book and handed it over. "First your highness, study that and do a spell or two if you can. I want to see if your a quick study."

Visitor nodded and turned to the guard before saying "Enjoy your day Mrs. Lord." ------------- Beck blinked and nodded before grabbing the book and opening it. His eyes laid on the table of contents and then the page he wanted, turning to Chapter 1. Beginning Hexes. After he read the first few paragraphs and saw the hexes he would nod before slowly placing it in one hand and raising the other towards a tree near his side. With a deep breath he read the incantation: "Ulca Hefawn!" A small light shot from his hand and made a singed ring around the trunk, markings illuminating in the dark before slowly fading. He then brought his hand forward while keeping his eyes on the book and jumped when the bark cracked with a loud thunder, felling the tree as the markings made the trunk shrink.

Tray stopped at her horse and put her hands on the saddle she closed her eyes and took a deep sigh she just felt strange. After getting her composure she got on her horse again and looked at the guard. "Give it three day's by then send all recruits to the palace no matter how many you have. Stay here for at least two more day's after this in case anymore sign up and then send them as well, at the end of five day's you can go ahead and return too."------- Len watched Beck wondering how long it would take the king to get a spell down. He watched him though and blinked in surprise at how successful his spell turned out he looked from the tree to him and just blinked in shock again. "Damn that was quick...I mean that was an easy hex for sure but it still took me at least a few hours to get it down."

The guard and Viktor nodded before returning to the enlistment talk. ------- Beck blinked at the tree he caste the hex on before turning to Len talking. A small smile crossed his face. "Really?"
