She was quiet for a moment and then she sat down beside him.
"They wouldn't want you to spend your whole life regretting that..." she said quietly, "and by helping others... you shouldn't end up risking your own life... or nothing would be accomplished in the end."

Kharne opens his eyes to blink a few times while looking toward Vivi.
"Nobody had done that since... since the reason I first created this form died..."
He said just barely loud enough to hear, though his tone didn't have any hint of displeasure. In fact it almost sounded like purring.

She blushed slightly when she realized she was still stroking his hair.
'What am I doing...' Vivi thought, pulling her hand back.
"Um... sorry..." she apologized.

Weren't they talking about how deaths that Kharne could have prevented?
