Xavier whizzed around, not really sure of what was happening. Coraline, Icarius and the other woman, who's name he was unsure, were running towards him, and Coraline seemed to be shouting about something. Xavier took a quick glance over the edge of the building, to see the infected running rampant around the military base. "How the f**k did they get in!?" Xavier shouted, eyes wide in horror.
He looked down at his side, and realized his only weapon, the handgun he had carried all this time, was in his room down below. "Damn!" He exclaimed, following the others down the winding staircase that led into the heart of the military base. "I've got to go get my gun!" He yelled to the others, as the sirens continued to wail, and red lights flashed. He heard screams in the distance, but couldn't help but not feel any sympathy at that moment.
He began to head towards his room, but stopped and looked back at the group. "Wait, what do we do? Do we fight them, and lock ourselves up in here? Do we run?" He was in a panic now. "I know somewhere we can go. But I need someone to decide. Quick!"

His rotting grin and pale dead eyes watched the spectacle with what would be akin to amusement. "Ahh... so they come for me at last... and oh we shall feast," he mused to himself quietly in his ragged rasping voice that came with the decay of his physical form.
A dull ache started at the base of his skull and he felt the call to feed upon the prey of this human base. Even as they thought they were protected, Morgan had been picking off the occasional human to sate his hunger. He was smart about those he chose, and was quite glad that he'd retained his wits when his glorious transformation had taken place. And to think, he'd been looking for a cure for this form in other beings. He had not realized that this was an evolutionary step up from the pathetic pink thing he had once been. This was what he had always been meant to be. He knew that now.

The commotion all around him just because the zombies were leaking into the base like water into the hull of a ship was enough to make Icarius roll his eyes as he looked at those around him. Xavier seemed to be freaking out with the rest of them, but Icarius just stood up slowly, still smoking, and looked at the group with the cigarette at the side of the mouth between his lips that parted just slightly as he responded, "Broke down the fence, how else?"
He followed after the woman who had ordered him to go with her, just because he really had nothing better to do. "You all realize we're in a military base, right? There is no shortage of weaponry here, nor man-power," he said as he continued over to the group before glancing over his shoulder at the infestation, "Hell, I bet I could do an air-strike with one of them jets down there if I really wanted to."
He chuckled just slightly at how panicked everyone was. Icarius shook his head as he took his cigarette and flicked the ash off the head before taking another drag. "I'm not goin' anywhere, short stack," he said to Xavier with a small shrug, "Prom is here and fixin' our ship. It's the best bet I have to get off this God-forsaken rock and we have enough supplies here to last another few months. I'll take that to runnin' through zombie infested territory any day." He wandered back to the edge of the roof and unclipped his solar-powered plasma-gun from his belt before taking aim and letting a few rounds go before he clipped it back on his belt. He'd made his position quite clear.

Her first instinct was to panic. Thankfully, Natalie's many months of experience running from and fighting the undead took control.
The break in the fence was at least twenty yards away from her, which wasn't much but could be just enough to save her life. The screams of the dying echoed in her ears, so Natalie resolutely blocked them out. It was sad, but she couldn't let another's misfortune lead to her own death, right? She stored her fear and disgust at herself in some small corner of her mind.
A panicked personnel member ran by her, tripped, and fell. The woman lay there stunned for several seconds and nearly got trampled by other people fleeing. Natalie knew it might be a mistake as she was doing it, but she struggled through the crowd and reached the woman. Pulling her to her feet, she gave the woman a light shove in the opposite direction of the horde.
"Go!" she shouted, hearing her voice tremble in her ears among the blaring alarm and screams.
In the mere seconds this exchange took, an infected had closed the distance. Natalie shrugged out of her jacket and threw it at the infected. It covered its face, which only served to make it stumble and not stop. Of course. She turned and ran for the closest building.
Unfortunately, someone inside slammed the door shut and locked it in her face, leaving her on her own in the street... weaponless and terrified.

I don't know if anyone is still active (I myself just returned to Gaia after a four year hiatus) but I stumbled across this old RP that is now SIX years old and I've enjoyed spending the last few hours reading it! So thanks for that enjoyment and blast from the past peeps! ^_^
