"If that's all you noticed you aren't terrible bright..." The boy remarked with an air of superiority "...or terribly observant for that matter." Alistair was smirking now, his arms crossed against his chest as the light breeze tousled his hair.

On the battlefield the child's serpent seemed to stand to prove his point. Aella's thundershock would hit her squarely, running around the Seviper's coiled body with violent sparks...and travelling straight into the ground. After that first lash Harpe had thrust her tail into the earth, grounding her body. It was an old tactic, a simple one; but it was no less effective. The quicker one could get electricity to disperse into the earth, the less harm it was able to do.

"Harpe, Sludge Bomb" Alistair ordered calmly, his tone and demeanour similar to someone asking for the salt shaker. Despite the boy's earlier foolishness, he seemed to carry quite the arrogant streak on the battlefield.

Hissing loudly, Harpe would open her mouth wide and show off her blood red fangs. Producing a slight gurgling sound, like someone trying to loose phlegm, she would gather sludge in the back of her throat. Once a fair sized ball had been gathered she would spit it the same way she might have the venom from her own fangs.

Unlike those before her however, this would not be in the form deadly barrage, but a pulsating sphere set to burst!

Victoria would roll her eyes. Was this guy really this arrogant or did he practice at it? She wanted to laugh, but she noticed as did Aella that her attack had failed. From one reason or another, they both had noticed that as a trend as of late ....as the Emolga would duck low and so would Victoria as they both tried to avoid the lobby. Afterall, the girl was standing with her pokemon at that moment .....as it would go into the air ...not more than a few feet above her own head.

"I notice, you have lost two pokemon so far, to my one that hadn't even gotten a scratch." "I wish you had more intelligent words, to share, but what can I say .....when a loser doesn't recognize the written on the wall ...what can one do?"

Victoria would comment even as she ducks. As Aella would sweep lower to avoid it.

This was getting to be a much more interesting match than the ones before hand.

Though the girl had every plan of this one ending like the others as Aella for the moment moved to avoid it.

"I never lose. Everything's going according to plan" The boy remarked calmly, even managing to smile as he watched his own attack miss it's intended target. The sludge would explode as it crashed into one of the various pieces of machinery behind Victoria, sizzling as it slid down the metal's surface to the ground beneath.

Hissing loudly, Harpe would narrow her eyes as she watched the Emolga up above her. Briefly the end of her bladed tail would twitch back and forth like that of an Ekans, soon disappear behind her coiled form. Thus far she hadn't seen fit to move from her current location; and it didn't appear that would be changing any time soon.

"Bong, wrong answer. Denial is what the other two teams have problems with. WE in tactics are suppose to recognize defeat, and find a way to turn it to victory. Not pretend like it's not happening, and just for the record you are losing."

Victoria would actually see an opening there to lecture him ...even as Aella's cheeks would flare with power. The air would sizzle around her as she was building up to it.

"Now, since you got that answer wrong, it's time for a penalty, Aella."

The Emolga would nod her head once. It would seem she was ready as the girl would point at the snake.

"One more time, use Thundershock."

It would seem she was more determined not to just be a 1 trick pony this match as the electricity would shot from her in one big bolt towards her opponent.

(20 - 5) + (20 - 15) = 20 DMG

Harpe HP:
12 + Paralysis.

Even as the lighting was loosed the boy would simply smile, his glasses glinting into the light "Who says I haven't dear girl? So obsessed with winning you can't see the merits of the alternatives. Unable to see the forest through the trees as they say" Alistair said, his arrogant calm never wavering in the face of the girl's taunts. Somehow he still acted as if he held all the cards...but who was to say he didn't?

"Harpe, would you please oblige our opponents with another Sludge Bomb?" The boy requested, keeping the same tone he had with his previous command.

">Surely you jest<" The Seviper remarked, bladed tail once more swinging behind her as she looked back at her trainer.

"I do not...and don't call me Shirley" Alistair replied back, responding to what Victoria would only hear as a series of hissing.

Lifting her head, the Seviper would loose another mass of sludge which arced high into the air. Unseen behind it however was a second ball, smaller and made of a much more concentrated toxin.

There would be surprise on her face, the girl looked at him and started to literally move a few paces back.

"He isn't right in the head?"

She would declares outloud. Who talks to pokemon and actually .....though they would get a clear answer back. Of course the girl had no way of knowing that they could actually talk to their pokemon as Victoria moves backwards and Aella actually seemed to have stars in her eyes.

She had actually gotten both side of the conversation and knew that the boy had understood. To be understood, it was a dream. No more stupid moves, no more .....dangerous situations when a pokemon can literally tell a trainer to shove it up their tail hole.

She would smile with love at the thought, and it was only as the sludge came right for her face that Victoria would shout out.

"DODGE IT!"

The Emolga had been day dreaming, and she might have to pay the price for that as she tries to shut one wing and allow herself to spin out of the way of the attack.

"Oh my, you got Emolga all over my sludge" The boy would reply with his usual dry humour. ">You got sludge all over my Emolga<" The Seviper would hiss back, sounding as if some had just gotten mud all over her sandwich.

"Now now, play nice...at least after ward. Sportsmanship!" The boy declared, pointing skyward in dramatic fashion.

Harpe would simply reply with an irritated hiss, tail slipping behind her as she awaited the Emolga's response.

It wasn't a comically one. They had been drugging through a sewer, they had been attacked by a grimer, sat on by an overweight, Solosis, and now ...now of all the things that had happen ....Aella had literally had sludge thrown in her face.

She wasn't happy, she wasn't happy at all. As her entire body flared with power, as the sky would darken above her.

Victoria would actually give a small eep of her own.

Aella was pissed off ....as she would spread out both of her arms ....as she let a passing wind bring her up higher. Everyone thought that the most dangerous thing about a storm is the lightning which can fry you in an instant, but when it comes to what actually does the most damage ....it is always the wind ....as she would allow a stray bolt of lightning to crackle behind her.

Then she would drop her stance, she would twirl her body like blade as she came towards the ground ...her body allowing the winds to gather around her in one .....powerful gusting move.

Though was no witty remark back as the Emolga came at the ground twirling round and round like a twister in what could be called a corkscrew move as she let the winds rip around her in big long and deep cuts into the earth .....into the metal behind them, and anything else it came in contact with ...and if this Seviper was unluck ..into her as she used Air Slash.

Harpe HP:

The air would tear through the Seviper's scales; but before her body could even go limp she would be recalled to the confines of her own Pokeball. In the wake of his defeat, the boy would simply drop to the floor "WUU!" He called, releasing a breath in an all too cheery sigh "Glad that's over."

"Al you weren't suppose to make it that easy! That was boring!" The red-head from before would call out from her seat on the Onix.

Alistair would simply wave it off, flopping onto the ground completely. "Percival, if you please?" He request loudly, snapping his fingers to signal yet another unseen figure.

In the same instant all three trainers would begin to fade, along with the Onix. A blink, and they were suddenly gone, teleported to some far off location.

In their place sat a dark blue and silver box with handles on either side. A strange mechanical cube, it held a slot for a disk along with a hatch shaped like a Pokeball. Inside there already appeared to be a single purple coloured CD marked in bold print with 'TM 36 MK II" along with a note reading "Don't forget Team Renegade".

It was finally over as the girl saw she didn't even get a chance to do any more taunting as they left ...and left what they had promised her behind.

"That Tm is Sludge bomb, which is quite useless for all but one pokemon on my team."

She would sigh openly.

She had hoped to ask for something much more useful, but, she would pack that away anyway. It was better than nothing as she would look back towards the place. She could let them know that it was free now, but she decided that they could figure that last bit out themselves. She knew what was next in her future, Co-Ops class.

Victoria would raise her hand then as Aella would land there and shake off the sludge still looking a bit miffed.

"You are the pokemon, and think you have had enough training for now." "Return."

She would recall the poor pokemon back to her pokeball and then continue onwards to her destination ....the pokemon center and the academy.

The girl yawning loudly.

She had had quite the adventure here.

Professor Statton was correct; it really hadn't taken Vanni that long to find the Power Plant. She and Phoebe had followed the signs and the path down to the clearly marked Power Plant. The girl hadn't had muc htime to her thoughts, but she had wondered- what exactly what it about a watch that "showed she belonged here"? "Here" was presumably the Academy... but what did that actually mean? And what kind of watch needed poisonous needles? A small, vain portion of her hoped it was at least a pocket watch... but she supposed she need to take what she could get.

She was started out of her mostly pointless thoughts as she arrived passed the sparking fence to stand before the guardians of the completely vital part of the Academy. Ah, Grunts! The firm backbone of any strictly-legal-nothing-suspicious-no-need-to-be-alarmed business! Bless. Recalling Professor Stratton's words, she retrieved her white ID card from her purse and held it out to the pair. "Hello, good sirs," she said, all sweetness and charm. "I've been given orders by Professor Stratton to speak with the manager concerning the recent shipping situation. Could you kindly let me pass?" On her shoulder, Phoebe sighed. This was the real reason her bright lady couldn't make friends- she didn't ever actually speak like a normal human. Which... made a lot of sense, all things considered The Nidoran liked her speech patterns, but most people wouldn't.

The grunt to the right would stare at her for a moment before looking over to the one on the left, snorting afterwards. "no doubt this s' what they sent us. Even talks like the guy. Wierdo." Stratton must have made a visit or something. The grunt to the right would nod, opening the gate with the push of a button. "Managers out, his assistant'll see you. Try not to trip n' hurt yourself on the way in little lady." he'd say with a smirk. You couldn't quite blame them for doubting her, either - a little girl in a dress didn't seem like the greatest of saviors.

It wasn't extremely hard to guess that "in" was in the building - and boy was it easy to see what exactly was the building. The entrance was open for her, yet it was hard to see from where she stood. The only way to find out just what kind of person she'd be meeting was to go inside and look around herself!

Vanni gave a polite nod at the guards' words, not particularly fussed by the obvious incredulity of the sardonic guard. She was here for a reason- possibly because it was ease to exploit students and it wasn't like there were actually child labor laws in this place, but a reason nonetheless- and she would go for. "Thank you!" she said, within a trace of sarcasm in her voice. Phoebe resisted the urge to roll her eyes, not especially wanting to antagonize anyone so early on this little "outing".

The girl got a better grip on her cane- maybe she was likely to trip. And with that, Vanni traipsed through the door, curious about this assistant and the innards of the power plant. Her mission had only began!

unlike what the last student had seen upon entering, Vanni would find the plant running rather smoothly. Employees walked about here and there, ignoring her entirely either because they were too engrossed in their work or they thought little of her presence. It would be awhile until she'd see it, a rather busty woman in a labcoat walking her way, blonde hair tied back and glasses on over light blue eyes. She looked young though she probably wasn't, and in her hands a notebook with a pen on a string hanging down.

Heels click-clacked against a clean floor as she walked up to Vanni, and it was clear that she was actually rather short (the only thing keeping her from looking too much like it was her choice of footwear). She'd give a kind smile, extending a hand and expecting a shake. "Ah, I've been expecting you, right on time! You must be the tactics girl, yes? Please, call me Alicia - it's a pleasure to meet you miss...er..." she'd wait for the name a bit before turning around. "ANYWAYS! Walk with me to my office, dearie, we'll discuss this matter more...in-depth over there. It's not a terribly long walk I can assure you"

[[ you can write out walking the way there w/o me if you want to, since I have to sleep now so I can't go through it with you. ]]

For once, Vanni felt notably out of place. For everything she'd lived through, she wasn't terribly used to actually work- what she recalled of her parents, they hadn't exactly held down a job (father was a fisher and mother couldn't do much because of the... condition the voice helpfully supplied), and while her uncle presumably did something related to numbers and finances, her aunt had always kept the girl out of the "real" world, hoping to prune her into a debutante. That plan had failed miserably, of course, not in the least because Vanni was set on becoming a Pokemon trainer, but it still left it's mark. All she could do was stand and watch the hustle and bustle, vainly hoping that the person she was looking for would be labelled with a big helpful "ASSISTANT" sign. Her Nidoran was rather more curious- considerably younger than her trainer and less experienced, she wanted to make sure this new world wouldn't be too much to handle.

And so Vanni was rather grateful when the striking blonde strode confidently up to her. Alicia had the air of someone who knew what she was doing, and that was greatly comforting when one was out of their element. The Tactics student took the proffered and shook it, supplying a "Vanni Alistair, the pleasure's all mine," Social niceties she could act out just fine. Phoebe gave a little 'mrr' of acknowledge, but as most Pokemon, was content to stick back and let the humans talk. Small talk was in short demand, it seemed, so the girl quickly took to Alicia's side and would follow her to the office.

((Sorry, quick and dirty post, midterms are eating me))
