Deranged Hero "Haha, maybe, we'll see. I'm not one for discussing my problems too much - in depth I mean. It easy to talk about things that don't affect me as much, or isn't a current problem.
But with conversation, and even the THOUGHT of talking to people - makes me break down crying. Yes, in public. My body does not care where I am, who I am with... if I'm in distress I cry. It's humiliating. People won't take me seriously. I don't even WANT to know what people think when they see a young man crying for what seems like no reason.
I've just learned to talk about something means I'm taking up people's time, and if it gets me no where it's a complete waste(I have this... if I can't do it straight out, I won't do it at all because failure isn't an option. Something my mother has instilled in me.). I've only really started talking the past... three years.. when I met my boyfriend(and I'm trying to share more with my best friend, but... it's not easy to talk about things with people who haven't really expierenced the same things as you) but as of late talking to him about it is more stressful.. because we both know I can talk about the same thing over and over but it doesn't change the issue itself. Right now, video games are my temporary salvation because I can pretend that I do not exist and then my problems don't either." Well, it was only a suggestion. I know how hard it is to get to that point where talking is even an option. I fishtail a lot on that one, always afraid I'm just going to burden someone else with my problems, not to mention getting them out there...they're real then. Can't take them back. So long as you have something, it's better than nothing. Still, always open :]

Oh I know man, I know. Those type of folks give gaming a bad name. The stereotypical 5 second attention span players, that don't like to read any on screen text. That act a foo on xbox live since it gives them anonymity, since no one in their right mind would say the same things those kids say while playing on xbox live in real life. I like FPS but I tend to avoid the MP aspect like it has the plague. I feel like the industry had lost's its way and must include MP with everything even if it doesn't warrant MP. I wouldn't mind this as long as the single player experience doesn't suffer from the inclusion of MP. That's one of the reason's I love Beth so much, they DON'T want to add MP and will dodge the topic at every point. I'm still a bit pissed that Mass Effect 3 had MP introduced to it, then again that had EA's dirty hands all over it. I don't mind if a game includes 4 player online co-op but not every game needs head to head MP combat. Sigh my rant could go on, but I'll stop it here for now.
"The only MP gaming I like is co-op or 4-players sittting around a console. I don't like online MP AT ALL. These days if you want even just TWO people to play co-op or together you need two copies of the game and two consoles... let alone anymore. When L4D came out, my siblings and I were all over that, only to find out that it was only two-player... there is three of us. Another game that does this is Borderlands. Up to four player co-op... but you'll need atleast two consoles and two copies of the game to reach that.
I used to enjoy playing Halo with my siblings, free for all, just killing eachother. Once even got my mother and father into it. My mother was on my side. She managed to kill someone. Me. I was on her team.
Probably only time I played online was Halo 3, with my older brother. We were outnumbered somehow(I think we were against three people) but we kicked their asses by setting up ambushes in certain areas. But now I'd never touch online gaming even if I was paid to." ahh halo, that was the only time i've ever played online with other people.... my bf at the time had it all set up and we had a blast, I have so many good memories of halo. I sucked pretty bad, but still had so much fun, even when my friends would just follow me around and laugh at my attempt to stalk them. lol. Man the thought of getting my parents to play is crazy... I hope when my kids get older they like video games and want to play with me. Cuz I probably will. ^ ^

I don't mean to sound rude, but I figured I'd say this HERE, instead of at a certain other thread...
Those two guys over in the ME thread don't seem to be thinkers of thoughts on any level of brain-power.
Does anyone even think before they open their mouths? Or fully read a post before shitting all over whatever it is that anyone else says?
I'm sorry, but those two people are getting on my goddamn nerves...

I know what you mean dude, some people just toss buckets over their heads and go la la la la whenever they come across an opinion that is different from theirs. Not only that but I do like Soren I do, but that crazy OMG Kaidan is super hot stuff does get quite ******** annoying after awhile.

This right here is one of the many reason's why I love Bethesda.
-Taken from a short interview with Todd Howard on joystiq.-
For all of its successes, the one thing Skyrim doesn't have is other players. Is there a chance we'll ever see a multiplayer title, or even an MMO, from Howard and his company? "You can never say never to anything like that," he admitted, "but it's not what our focus is. This type of game is where our hearts are, what we get excited about, and that's what we want to focus on. We don't want to lose that focus and we never want to sacrifice anything in the singleplayer game just to have it be multiplayer."
Why more game company's can't follow suit saddens me.

Exactly... At first, after a while of playing BioWare titles, I thought that BioWare was a kindred gamer spirit to Bethesda. But then they caved to E.A.'s demand for a Multiplayer option...

Honestly I don't get why people hate on multi-player so much. I don't play it and I never will, I will never use Xbox chat or whatever it is because of the utter hate mongering bullshit machine those things are, but so long as it doesn't detract from the single player experience I don't care one way or the other. But I don't believe you can either have multiplayer or you can have a great single player experience. Mass Effect 3 is doing this and with everyone freaking out about it...it just sort of makes me sigh a lot. It's still going to be an awesome game (did you see the thresher maw and the reaper fight?) but I've even heard people say they aren't going to buy the game because it has a multiplayer option now. Like, what? It's an option people, it's not mandatory. Dunno, maybe multiplayer is just not the worst thing ever a game developer can include in their games for me.

I'm not one of those people who automatically dismissed the game b/c they added MP to. ( I know you didn't say that I was, I'm just getting that out in the open) the Mass Effect universe hands down is one of the best place's to stage a space/sci-fi themed RPG. Since most RPG's bread and butter is Tolken like Fantasy. That universe has captured me and I want to be apart of concluding that 3 part story they set out to create.
What I'm just disgruntled at is the need for MP to be added at all, not every game that gets release NEEDS a MP option. More and more I feel that the single player experience is slowly being hunted down and killed by those who think since the mass's will pay 12.00 for a map pack and make truck loads of money its really good idea to spend less dev time working on a solid single player experience just so their game can have a MP component.
The real hate boils down to the fact that not all Dev's studios are huge and have the man power, money and dev time to have both a solid single player campaign and to have a well balanced effective MP component. Yet those smaller Dev teams are pressured into including MP even though they don't have the resources to pull it off without making other parts of the game suffer.

Play with Famous Faces in Skyrim
Now I know this is a Song of Ice and Fire thread, but believe me this link as relevance. If one happens to scroll to the bottom on the list, you will find a familiar face.....
Ned Stark
Now to download the killable children mod and find Joffrey.
GAME OF THRONES SEASON 1/SONG OF ICE AND FIRE BOOK 1 SPOILER WARNING!
Imagine it: instead of losing The Game of Thrones to Ser Ilyn Payne, Ned Stark is saved at the last second by a huge dragon! Where does Lord Stark's story go from here? Perhaps he picks up a sword to reclaim his rightful seat as Lord of Winterfell, or wait… was that Jarl of Winterhold? Can he claim his 100 skill level on the one-handed longsword? One thing is for certain: he'll always try to do the right thing, no matter the cost. Load up this save file and give Ned the future he deserved!
Man now I wish I had a PC that was capable of running Skyrim on it. sad

"Minecraft, why you so addictive? Thus far, I've been playing 12 hours. Building things is so fun. Currently making a crypt of sorts. In the middle of a lake. We just finished making ruins IN a mountain. With lights that turn on when you step on the pressure plates."

Perhaps that works for you, but personally I don't mind some (and I do stress some 'cause people are draining to me emotionally) social interaction at times. And also, if it does to you then fine. I just find the whole multiplayer issue pretty much everywhere blown up to proportions that it's the singular thing wrong with video games these days. Which is, frankly, ridiculous.

When your game is behind schedule and mediocre the last thing you need is a tacked on multiplayer to tote around.
