Jakiel laughed again. "If you recall, you repelled me at first, despite my wanting you." He stroked Alex's face. "I am more like a cobra who only bites those he like. Not to kill. But to mark so that I may follow them until I die..." He kissed Alex's neck and left a mark for the world to see. "Perhaps...after a year...and we're still together, wanna get inked?"

Jakiel looked up in thought. "Well...I was thinking of getting an Ace of Diamonds for you, since you're my gem. But...what to get for you that'll symbolize me? Hmm..."

Jakiel then smiled as an idea came to mind. "How about a flower? Or better yet, the one I gave you? Since I deal in botany for medical cures, a flower I created would symbolize me."

Jakiel nodded. "Well, there's a fresh water spring behidn the greenhouse. It's where I fetch water for this place and I wash up there when I ain't got the time." He stood up and smiled.
