"Yes." Ayame said grimly. "Don't let me spoil anything for you. I'll just hobble my way to the cabin and get some ice." She shrugged. "It's not like I had anything else important I was planning on doing this afternoon."

"I can help you get there quicker... it's really boring here." he said, hiding the fact he just wnted to be with her. He stretched and looked at her smiling some more.

Ayame's pride normally would have protested against this, but she was tired, wet and in pain. So blushing slightly, she swallowed her pride, and nodded. "That would be great." She said, not meeting his eyes.

He nodded to her and picked her up and got in a running position. He then started running as fast as ge cold towards the cabin.

"I didn't mean like this!" Ayame snapped, her cheeks scarlet red, though secretly she liked being carried by Logan. "Hey, what's this?" She asked, just noticing for the first time his scar. Without thinking, she gently traced it with a fingertip.

"I was followed by this strange dog... it jumped on me and ran off after scratching my eye." he said as he kept running towards the cabin.

Darien had been sitting at the bottom of the lake for about an hour but decided to walk along the shore instead.

Before Myka had even arrived, she had cleared her mind of all thoughts. Hopefully something blank in a world of activity might calm Sho down. She breathed in and out slowly as she looked around. She didn't see him, but would'n't give up that easy. She dared not think, but followed her instincts.

Sho sat on the edge of the dock; shoes, jacket and sweatshirt thrown carelessly on the wooden planks next to him. He just left dull and emotionless. Not angry any more, just...flat. The world swirled around him, thoughts and feeling that had nothing to do with him. He sighed and looked up at the nearly full moon, his eyes cold as the stars above.

Myka's steps were silent as she advanced. She walked up the steps and then onto the dock, but kept the distance between her and Sho. Eyes soft, mind void of thoughts, Myka looked at him. And then, gentle and as warm as she could manage, Myka thought. 'I'm sorry.' she whispered out in her mind. She blinked twice before she continued with her second thought. 'You don't have to face it alone.'

Sho didn't even turn around. "Did you talk to Ayame?" He asked in a low voice, keeping his eyes fixed on the black, rippling surface of the water. "I'm sorry I hit her...I didn't mean to. I wouldn't ever willingly hurt her. I just..." He shook his head, black hair loose. "I'm sorry." He said finally after a minute.
